La mayoría de estos instrumentos normalmente se han tocado por separado, con la función de acompañar al canto o a los bailes. En este curso, se ha trabajado por reunirlos y ofrecer un lenguaje propio inspirado en los ritmos tradicionales. * Estamos al lado del metro de la Verneda, Barcelona. Ever wanted to try out throwing on the wheel? This is an activity for 2 - 3 people along side the Clay & Create Saturday morning workshops. It is a 3 hour workshop with dedicated teaching. During the workshop you will be taught how to prepare & centre the clay and make simple forms such as bowls, cups or small pots and have the opportunity to come back to a second to learn how to trim and decorate your pieces. Jade will be your teacher and the session will be done in English or Spanish. Pieces can be glazed with a transparent glaze and would be ready for collection around 10 days after the second workshop, 45€ All materials included The studio is light, very spacious and has a great vibe.

The main technique used during the session is hand-building giving you the option to make so many different things for yourself, friends or family - bowls, plates, sushi dishes, plants pots and much more. Beginners will be guided through the process of making things using techniques such as slab building, coiling, pinching, texturing, under-glazing and glazing. The more advanced will be free to create and those with experience throwing would be welcome to use my wheel (to be reserved in advance). Those of you who would like to learn about glazing would need to book 2 workshops. The workshops are run in English but I do speak Catalan and Spanish. Blue Line Cup is a relaxing workshop where you’ll decorate a pre-made cup with a blue underglaze pencil. Gentle lines, tiny illustrations, words of love… anything you feel like drawing (or writing).
