Berlin Tech Leads - The one where AI reshapes Customer Support Engineering
**We’re back!** After a break, the Berlin Tech Leads meetup is officially revived **\- and this time IRL at Berlin Vinted office\.**
**We’ve missed the deep dives, the architectural debates, and the networking. To kick things off, we’re tackling one of the fastest-moving landscapes in the industry right now: the intersection of Engineering and Customer Support.**
**About the Event**
Customer Support is often the first place where AI moves from "experimental" to "mission-critical." For Tech Leads, this shift isn't just about plugging in a basic chatbot; it’s about re-engineering the entire lifecycle of a ticket and how our systems actually interact with our users.
In this meetup, we’re looking under the hood of the support stack. We’ll discuss how the landscape is being reshaped by LLMs, the shift toward autonomous agents, and the real technical hurdles of building multi-modal support systems.
**Talks:**
* [Pau Agustín](https://www.linkedin.com/in/pau-agust%C3%ADn-granell-6420a5139/) & Team Help Experience (vinted.com):
"Scaling Support: How Vinted Manages Tens of Thousands of Tickets Every Day"
* [Yam Marcovitz](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAAAbVVAwBOgouy-uT1QB1ixhqrafAv1kNxQk) (parlant.io)
"Building consistently aligned agents with Parlant"
* [Richard Lohwasser](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAABRCCmYBD9PS9O73AjQ244LC4Gc_NMUcnsY) (enneo.ai):
"Applying AI across all channels in real-life customer service at scale: What works, what doesn't, and where we're heading to?"
*Just a quick reminder: if you'd like to take the stage and speak at a future Berlin Tech Leads meetup, feel free to drop a message to one of the organisers.*
Soundground: free improvised music workshop
**A place to meet sound, without maps**
Facilitated by **Vesti Gium (they/them)**
Everyone enters as they are.
No score. No threshold of skill.
We follow the room, moment by moment—
listening, nudging, letting the music find itself.
A breath, a shoelace, a laugh, a footstep—
each carries weight.
Silence is welcomed; noise is celebrated.
There are no wrong directions here.
We practise a listening that reaches outward and inward:
to ourselves, to one another, to the space we shape together.
That is where the music begins.
* 🌀 Bring a voice, an object, an instrument, a movement—or nothing at all.
* ✨ **Priority given to FLINTA folks and people with migration backgrounds.**
* 🎧 No experience needed. Curiosity is enough.
* 📍 Berlin – \[theodorstraße 5,12099]
* 🗓 Every Wednesday 17: 30
* 📬 DM or email **[vestigium.impro@gmail.com](mailto:vestigium.impro@gmail.com)** to join

Moving Through Sound, Settling Into Resonance 24.05
A somatic listening and sound journey ·
This workshop begins in the body.
Through subtle, guided movement — weight shifting, breath, attention to sensation — we turn listening inward. Into the body. Into the space between sounds. Into the micro-movements we rarely notice. A geophone microphone picks up the vibrations of movement in the space, amplifying them back into the room. You may hear your own weight shifting. You may hear someone else's. The boundary between the two begins to dissolve.
The sound doesn't create connection. It reveals it.
From movement we move into stillness. Into deep collective listening. Into sound.
Resonant instruments — singing bowls, gong, chimes, tuning forks — meet field recordings of the natural world. The room settles into a full sound bath, arriving into a body that has already been opened by movement.
This workshop is rooted in experimental sound, deep listening, and the simple act of paying attention. It is playful, embodied, and quietly surprising. You will leave with a different relationship to the sounds around you — and probably to the women you made them with.
No experience needed. No performance required. Just curiosity and a willingness to arrive.
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. All instruments and materials provided.
Beneath the noise. A deeper listening.

DJ Workshop
### **DNA. Presents "DJ WORKSHOP"**
### **Curious about DJing and ready to try it Yourself?**
This beginner-friendly workshop is Your first real step behind the decks. In 90 minutes, DNA. Member CZECH STRINGS — a multi-genre DJ with 10+ years of experience — walks You through everything You need to know to make Your first mix. No prior knowledge of DJing, music theory, or equipment is required. Zero.
#### **What the workshop covers:**
The session starts with the essentials: what a DJ actually does, what their role is, and how it all comes together. From there, CZECH STRINGS explains the gear using the decks available at the spot as a live example, applicable to any DJ setup You might encounter in the future.
#### **You will learn the core technical skills needed for Your first transition:**
\* Beatmatching — how to align two tracks in tempo
\* Cueing — how to prepare the next track for a seamless entry
\* Track structure and phrasing — understanding how tracks are built so You know when to mix
The teaching happens live from behind the DJ decks. You can follow from Your seat or gather around and watch up close. CZECH STRINGS demonstrates everything on Electronic Music, but can switch to any other genre on request. The techniques taught apply to all rhythmic music.
A part of the session is dedicated to hands-on practice. You will get the chance to step up to the decks and try it Yourself.
#### **Do You need to bring anything?**
Nothing is required. If You'd like to bring Your own music on a USB stick, You're welcome to, but it will only work if the stick is formatted as MS-DOS (FAT) / FAT32 and the tracks have been analysed in Rekordbox beforehand. If that means nothing to You right now, don't worry. There's plenty of music ready to go.
The atmosphere is supportive, focused, and hands-on. This workshop is for anyone curious about DJing who wants to understand the craft, touch real equipment, and leave with a solid first foundation.
#### **Start where You are. Learn the fundamentals. Find Your sound**.

Soundness Check Circle | Mental Health Support
Hi, I am Zoe, a software engineer by profession. I have been running this support group since a shortly after covid 😇
The location is confusing if you route from google maps. Please note that it’s at Choriner Str. 12, 10119 Berlin. Do note the street and house number to reach ☑️ the bar next to it is always closed so please don’t get confused by it.
What to expect in the circle:
\- The first 45 minutes we can spend to get coffee and settle down
\- On a volunteer basis\, each of the attendee will then get some time to share things that they are dealing with\, perhaps for 2\-5 minutes
\- You can skip sharing even if you are in a circle\, there's no force \(and there will never be\) on you to share\, staying silent and listening is completely ok
\- Attendees can recommend books or reading material if they like

Burnaby Virtual Speed Dating for Beginners
**✨ Real One-on-One Rounds Online for Burnaby Singles Done Swiping**
As a participant, you'll experience quick private Zoom rounds with Burnaby singles matched to you by age and personality, as a friendly host guides every transition.
Once you register, you fill in a quick matching survey — your personality profile from that quiz to curate your Burnaby matches by quiz results and age, meaning your rounds are curated and not random.
After the session closes, mutual match details are distributed — contact details flow only on mutual selection — and what happens next is entirely up to you.
**Age-grouped registration — select yours:**
- **Ages 18-32** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=537.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Burnaby&groupurlname=the-collective-for-intentional-social-growth&ar=18-32&face_v=4.0)
- **Ages 30-46** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=537.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Burnaby&groupurlname=the-collective-for-intentional-social-growth&ar=30-46&face_v=4.0)
- **Ages 40-58** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=537.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Burnaby&groupurlname=the-collective-for-intentional-social-growth&ar=40-58&face_v=4.0)
- **Ages 55+** → [REGISTER HERE](https://tempodating.com/product?productId=537.0&productType=onlineSpeedDating&city=Burnaby&groupurlname=the-collective-for-intentional-social-growth&ar=55+&face_v=4.0)
**⚠️ Heads up:** Your rsvp here is not a registration confirmation, so select your bracket link, complete the registration form, and finish the personality quiz — places are capped so do this promptly, and your spot is held only when both steps are done.
---
**What to expect**
1. **Grab your spot** – via your age group registration link, then complete the short matching survey, as both steps are required and neither can be skipped.
2. **Log in** – using the video link shared before the session, any device with a camera and mic is all you need, and round management is all on the host from there.
3. **Date** – short Zoom speed dating rounds with Burnaby area singles in your age range, as the host signals round starts and ends, because the format is built so every round is worth having.
4. **See your results** – after the event you will receive any mutual match details, and only confirmed mutual matches receive each other's contact details, and everything from that point is on your schedule.
**Best suited to:**
- People within Burnaby wanting to escape matches that fade out before meeting and want to meet real locals without the faff.
- Singles calling Burnaby home moving beyond dating apps that go nowhere and are serious about meeting someone.
- Someone based in Burnaby wanting to escape conversations that fizzle before a first date and are ready for a genuine first impression.
⭐ *"Not what I expected at all — better than every app I have tried"* – Burnaby local who came sceptical
💡 **Good to know:** check your Zoom setup in advance, because good audio is just as important as good video, and the host handles everything else from that point.

✨ Real conversations from home — register via your age group link and we will set the rest up for you in your own time. Can not wait to see you there. 💘 ✨
Drunken Philosophy: What’s up with all the AI hate?
**Welcome to Drunken Philosophy** a casual, curious social discussion
**Optional topic for this meetup: What's up with all the AI hate?**
A recent survey found that 74% of Americans have a negative view of AI, and I want to know why. Come out and debate whether AI is good or bad.
My hot take: a labor-saving tool that could potentially help cure cancer gets called dangerous because it might raise unemployment or cause a speculative investment bubble, that tells you a lot more about capitalism and the economic system we live under than it does about the tool itself. As a computer programmer, I think AI is a wonderful tool that has increased my productivity by at least an order of magnitude. I'd go so far as to say Claude Code is the best tool I have ever used. Debate me and name a better one.
Is AI potentially dangerous? Yes, but so are a lot of tools. Chainsaws. Steam engines (early ones would occasionally explode and kill everyone in the room). Do you think cavemen sat around debating whether fire could be used as a weapon or for self-harm, and decided not to discover it?
I have two friends who hate AI for opposite reasons: one thinks it's a fad and not useful, and the other thinks it's going to take over everything and cause human extinction.
Come out tonight, have a friendly debate, and make some friends.
No lectures. Friendly crowd. Drop in for one drink and stay if it's fun.
WordPress Beyond SEO, Mastering Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) has been on the mind of many developers since most of the search engines implemented AIs.
The landscape of the internet is shifting beneath our feet. In 2026, users are increasingly bypassing traditional search results in favor of direct, conversational answers from platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. If your WordPress site is optimized only for "blue links," you’re missing out on a massive wave of traffic. This meetup will dive into Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), the strategic evolution of SEO. We’ll discuss why visibility in AI-generated summaries is becoming the new "Page 1" and how the "organic click" is being replaced by "brand citations" within AI responses.
We can check on what solutions already exist, what can you do yourself by optimizing your Robot.txt. But, also does all this work worth it?
I hope to see everyone for the discussion on June 3rd!
P.S. We will not meet on May 6th. My friends having a wedding and i am surprisingly much more involved in it. But it gives us all more time to play with AEO!
