Impressionism, Brunch & Art — Cassirer at Alte Nationalgalerie 🎨
Join us for a morning of art, conversation, and good food — followed by a guided visit to one of the most exciting exhibitions in Berlin this summer.
We start with brunch together at a cosy spot nearby, where I'll give a short introduction to the exhibition and the fascinating story behind it. Then we walk to the Alte Nationalgalerie together for a curated visit.
**About the exhibition:**
*Cassirer and the Breakthrough of Impressionism* brings together around 100 masterworks by Monet, Degas, Cézanne and more — told through the story of Paul Cassirer, the most important art dealer of the Impressionist era in Germany. A man who single-handedly changed how Germany saw art. The exhibition runs until 27 September — but summer is the perfect time to see it.

**Event Info:**
Pausify is the **biggest community and most active** of book lovers and creatives in Berlin.
Impressions: Instagram: **[@Pausify (Co-Reading Space)](https://www.instagram.com/pausify_org/)**
Events happen every Sat and Sun at 11 AM.
Bring along your **current book to read** (or something **creative** to work on) and join us for this mix of a shared focus time + discussion.
\- 11:00\-11:30 \- Meet & greet
\- 11:30\-12:30 \- Silent focus time
\- 12:30 \- Discussion of books/ projects over coffee
Afterwards, join for lunch if you'd like (optional).
**Drinks & snacks are included** ☕️
* **To reserve your place, a ticket (€9,90/event) or a community pass (only €17,90/MONTH) [from the website](https://pausify.org/) *www.pausify.org* is required**
* **Attendance here doesn’t show all sign-ups from other platforms. We usually have about 50 to 100 people at each event.**
***FAQ: Why does it cost money if I bring my own project?***
Because we rent a beautiful, central space for every event. Ever thought your monthly apartment rent was too high? Well, multiply that – that’s what commercial spaces in big cities like Berlin cost *per hour*.
Of course, if all you want is just some quiet time, your home or a library is perfect. But if you’d like to focus & connect with others in an inspiring space – with drinks, snacks included – that’s what your ticket helps to cover.

Respect and Safety:
There is always at least one organizer present at every meetup. If you ever feel unsafe or bothered by someone’s behavior, you can reach out to an organizer privately. Your identity will remain confidential, your concern will be taken seriously, and no inappropriate behavior is tolerated — anyone making others feel uncomfortable will be removed from the group immediately.
We hope to see you there. Bring yourself, your smile, drawing materials, your stories—or just your comfy self.
Let’s make Saturday a little more laid-back, a little more social and a lot more nice.
See you soon!

📸 Studio B/W Portrait Photography in Weissense
Join us for our second studio event this year, first in this new studio in [Weissensee](https://studioweissensee.berlin/), for a minimalistic session with 3 models.
**Main theme:**
This all-black-and-white studio session is a deep dive into the mastery of contrast and light. Instead of just taking striking photos, you will deconstruct and replicate the artistic decisions of photography’s greatest masters. You will explore how deep shadows, bright highlights, and texture shape emotion and direct the viewer’s eye.
The session is divided into three distinct technical blocks based on iconic reference styles:
1. **Terry Richardson & Platon:** Minimalist sets, flat direct flash, and raw, high-contrast emotional energy.
2. **Peter Lindbergh:** Cinematic, soft yet directional window light, unretouched skin texture, and honest human emotion.
3. **Hedi Slimane:** Aggressive digital black-and-white, sharp side-lighting, and cold rock-and-roll decadence.
The goal is to understand how light reveals, conceals, separates, and connects. By consciously borrowing these techniques, you will learn to use contrast as a powerful visual and emotional tool with your own subjects.
**💡 Formula**
This rotation-based format is built to maximize your shooting time and creative output. You’ll work across three setups, lighting styles, and models, all in a single session.
* **1-on-1 Shooting:** Dedicated time with each model.
* **Ready-to-Shoot:** Professionally lit, styled environments for varied content.
* **Inspiring Atmosphere:** A focused chance to experiment, connect, and create alongside like-minded photographers.
**👥 Who & What to Expect**
* **Participants:** Up to 12 photographers, divided into 3 rotating groups.
* **Skill Level:** Intermediate and above.
* **The Models:** 3 carefully selected models.

This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. Kreative Schreibwerkstatt in Kreuzberg (14:30 Uhr!)
72, nahe U-Bhf Moritzplatz.**
**Was dich erwartet:**
