Welcome for some fun improv games together :) About us: We are a bunch of people of all ages and backgrounds, gathering to share the common passion for improv. Improvisation, or Improv for short, is a form of live theatre in which the story, characters and scenes are without a script and made up in the moment, completely different every time. The actors are acting, directing themselves, writing the plot and interacting with each other all at the same time without previous planning. Improvisation can help you with your social and business skills by training your mind to think quickly and react to unexpected situations. In Improvisation, there are no lines to memorize and you play off other creatively challenged fun-loving, global-minded people who loves laughing at themselves. It’s a great way to socialize and make new friends. It’s a welcoming atmosphere, we want you to join in the fun, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced improviser – come and lets enjoy together! We usually start with some warm-ups that help us relax, listen and focus. Then we move on to doing different kinds of short scene fun games with each other, making characters, stories and our small worlds. In improv mistakes are welcome and you will have goooood times! **Hi everyone** 👋 I’m David, and I’d love to start a social bouldering club for anyone who wants to climb, hang out, and meet new people! I will arrange a meetup climbing event once a month, at different climbing gyms around the city. The focus is on: • 🧗‍♂️ Climbing and challenging ourselves • 🤝 Being social and building a fun community • 💪 Training together – all levels welcome I’ve been climbing for about 1.5 years, so I’m still in my learning phase, but I’m more than happy to help beginners get started and share the basics with anyone who’s new. We will start at **Beta Boulders in Vanløse the 8 February @ 14.00** o’clock There will be a warm up and cool down, focusing on climbing and mobility. Looking forward to climbing with you all! 🙌 **Short Overview of Boulder Gyms in Copenhagen and bouldering is:** **Beta Boulders** A modern and friendly gym with lots of different wall styles. Great for both beginners and experienced climbers, and there’s a nice training area as well. **Bison Boulders** Located a bit outside the city, but very relaxed and welcoming. Good variety of routes and plenty of space. A calm, nice atmosphere. **Boulders CPH** One of the biggest and most popular bouldering gyms in Copenhagen. Many routes for all levels and a very social environment. **What Is Bouldering?** Bouldering is a type of climbing done at low heights — usually up to around 4–5 meters — **without ropes or harnesses**. Instead, there are thick mats on the floor for safety. You only need climbing shoes, which you can rent, and maybe some chalk for your hands. Climbs are short “problems” or routes that you try to solve using balance, technique, and strength. Some are easy, some are challenging, and you can always choose the level that fits you. Bouldering is also very social — people often help each other, share tips, cheer each other on, and have fun together. It’s perfect for meeting new people while getting a good workout.

Come join us for an afternoon run/jog/walk We are not a typical running club, so please read about the concept in “about us”. How it works: we don’t know in advance where the trail will go, but we know it will be fun! A member of the club, the 'hare', sets a trail, usually marked with flour. The rest of us, the 'pack', follows the hare's 'scent', i.e., the marks. There will be a 8-10 km trail for runners with shortcuts down to 5-6 km for walkers and those who need a slower pace. We have no set pace - run/walk as slow or as fast as you'd like. After the run we enjoy some refreshments and socialize. Come a few minutes before the start so that you can say hi and leave your bag in a designated bag car before we set off at 14:30. Don’t worry if there are few registrations on Meetup. We have existed for 44 years, and a lot of our members (anywhere from 20 to 50 people) just show up. Four-legged friends are welcome! We never cancel. See you there!

Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at our Copenhagen Shut Up & Write! sessions. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, résumé, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: - 15 minutes of hellos and getting settled; maybe some quick intros. - Then, the timer starts! : writing for 1 hour. - After the hour is up... chat / take off / keep writing, if you're on a roll. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens once the hour of writing is complete. Writing can be very solitary... connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. It's best to be on time, but BEING LATE IS ALSO OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with us after the session. (We’ll be the ones with the small Shut Up & Write! sign.) COSI is one of the leading Science Centers in America. Alan Watts was one of the Most Influential Amateur Astronomers of the 20th Century and held fascinating views of the Galaxy. Dale Gnidovec, Curator of the Orton Hall Museum of Geology at The Ohio State University, will be presenting a program he has wanted to share with us for a long time: Plate Tectonics. His description of his program: Continents on the move - Nothing in Earth history makes sense without moving continents - it tells us why mountains, volcanoes, minerals, and fossils are where they are. This talk examines the evidence for continental drift, why it was disbelieved, and explains how the more-encompassing theory of plate tectonics was developed and eventually proven.
