Sunday Meditation | Community Building | Connection | Meet New People
Sunday Meditation | Community Building | Connection | Meet New People
**Who We are..... 🤝** Our journey to bring people together began in January of 2022. The group was started with a simple intention to gather and meet some likeminded people - connecting through the powerful act of meditation and sharing our genuine selves while sitting in a circle that represents equality, harmony and wholeness( *we believe everyone in the circle is a teacher and a student at the same time)*. And over the last 4 years of consistently coming together, we have fostered a beautiful, loving, dependable community where members from all walks of life have experienced a sacred space to sit in silence together and meditate, share their authentic selves, give presence to others and forge meaningful and long lasting connections. The Meditations are guided by Sana(co-founder and host), who is a Trained and certified meditation teacher by the Meditation Association of Australia, and has been guiding meditations for 3+ years in corporate and community settings. ✨ **Do you wish to....** * Experience a simple yet powerful meditation and breathing practice to find calm, relaxation and clarity * Connect with like-minded people in your local community and foster meaningful connections * Meet others who are passionate about growing, uplifting themselves, and supporting others * Share insights from your personal journey (or simply listen and learn) Or maybe you just want to... ☮️ **Spend your Sunday evening in a peaceful, zen space and meet new people? Bring a friend (or two!) and let’s connect.** **What’s on the evening’s flow?** * **Open meet & greet** – connect and settle in * **5 min guided meditation** to land into the space and connect within * **Sharing circle** (totally optional!) – share your thoughts or simply listen * **20-30 min guided meditation** – for relaxation and deeper connection **Where?** 📍 **250 George St, Fitzroy VIC 3065** Enter through the church gates. You’ll see a small garden on the left and stairs on the right leading up to the **Dance of Life Yoga Studio (first door on your right upstairs).** **What to bring?** * **Donation:** A contribution of **$15 or more is recommended**. Your donations directly help us cover venue, meetup membership and other costs, provide valuable resources, and keep this meditation community alive and growing. * **Warm jumper/jacket** (just in case!) * **Water** * **Any books/resources/inspiration you’d love to share** **Important Notes:** * Spaces are **limited**, so if you can’t make it, please update your RSVP to “Not going” or send us a quick message. * **No-show policy:** To keep it fair for everyone, repeat no-shows without notice may not be able to RSVP in the future. * Attendees under 18 must have a guardian present. **Everyone is welcome!** All ages (with guardians for under 18), backgrounds, genders, and experiences – no meditation experience needed. The Power of Self-Trust: Storytelling, Reflection & Connection
The Power of Self-Trust: Storytelling, Reflection & Connection
Hi Everyone! It's been a while since I've posted here - but I'm back with something I'm genuinely excited about. On Sunday 28 June, I'm hosting a live talk in Melbourne called *The Power of Self-Trust*. It is an inspirational talk for women on self-trust, confidence and identity, blending storytelling, reflection and real-life empowerment. The talk will be followed by light refreshments and community connection. This group was always about creating space for women to come together - and this is exactly that! Would love to see some new faces there! Philosophy Roundtable: What is Real?
Philosophy Roundtable: What is Real?
Join us for an informal round-table on some of philosophy's oldest questions lead by Sean Crowley: What is a thing? Where do identities begin and end? Is perspective a limitation on reality, or a fundamental feature of it? And what might it mean to speak of an Absolute beyond all finite distinctions? Drawing on Spinoza, David Bohm, Carlo Rovelli, George Spencer-Brown, and Maurice Merleau-Ponty, Sean will give a condensed introduction to Groundless Perspectival Realism — a metaphysical framework that questions absolute intrinsic identity, exploring reality instead through relation, perspective, and wholeness. We will meet at the Captain Melville at 2pm for a 2:15pm start sharp. **Please note the new $5 mandatory donation entry fee** (cash or transfer on day) to help with MeetUp subscription costs, venue costs, etc. There is no pre-requisite preparation necessary, nor a philosophical background, all that is required is a curious mind. These discussions are both a Socrates Cafe style discussion and lively metaphysical dojo, in the spirit of learning and friendly debate, so please feel free to challenge assumptions and be prepared to have your own assumptions challenged. This event is also posted to the Socrates Cafe group. Topics include: * Identity & thinghood * Perspective & observation * Relationality and continuity * Truth & reality * The nature of the Absolute Sean Crowley is the author of the forthcoming book The Infinite Now and host of The Infinite Now with Sean Crowley, exploring metaphysics, consciousness, science, and the philosophical implications of non-duality. Hope to see you there!

Sunday Brunch: Money, Meaning & Working Differently
Sunday Brunch: Money, Meaning & Working Differently
A warm, low-pressure Sunday brunch for good humans to meet, connect and have real conversations. This first gathering will centre around the theme: ## **Money, Meaning & Working Differently** **REGISTER HERE**: [https://events.humanitix.com/good-humans-good-vibes-sunday-brunch-money-meaning-and-working-differently-june-2026](https://events.humanitix.com/good-humans-good-vibes-sunday-brunch-money-meaning-and-working-differently-june-2026) We’ll be joined by two wonderful co-hosts who are both building intentional careers, and are both avid fans of the book *We Should All Be Millionaires* by Rachel Rodgers. Together, we’ll open up a gentle, honest conversation about money, work, wealth, values and sustainability: * Can good humans want more money? * What does it mean to build wealth while staying connected to your values? * Why do so many thoughtful, values-led people feel uncomfortable talking about money? * How do we build work, careers and businesses that support our lives? * What changes when more kind, thoughtful and justice-minded people have more resources? * How do we price, earn, negotiate, grow or make decisions in ways that feel more aligned? You do not need to have read the book. You do not need to run a business. You do not need to have your money stuff figured out. Just come as you are. ## **What to expect** This will be a casual brunch with a little bit of gentle structure. There will be: * A short welcome * A relaxed conversation with our co-hosts * Space for everyone to meet and chat * Good humans, good conversations and good vibes * A warm, friendly environment where you can connect without needing to perform The aim is simple: to create a space where values-aligned people can meet, share ideas, and leave feeling a little more energised, supported and connected. ## **Registration** This helps us confirm numbers and cover the cost of running events. As part of our social enterprise model, **50% of ticket proceeds go towards causes that matter**. Please note: tickets do **not** include food or drinks. You’ll be able to order and pay for your own food and drinks directly at the venue. #### **Standard - $20** Choose this option if you can comfortably contribute the standard amount. #### **Pay-What-You-Can - Any amount you like** Choose this option if you would like to contribute a different amount. No explanation needed. Choose the amount that feels right for your circumstances. #### **Pay It Forward - Optional** If you have the capacity and would like to contribute a little extra, this helps make future Good Humans, Good Vibes gatherings more accessible and sustainable. ## **A note on the vibe** This is a connection-first gathering. You might meet people you could work with, collaborate with, refer to, learn from or cheer on - and that would be lovely. The heart of the event, though, is good conversation, generosity, curiosity and care. Please come with respect for the room and the people in it. We want this to feel warm, inclusive and easy to be part of. ## **Co-hosts** The conversations at this first brunch will be gently co-hosted by two wonderful good humans. ### ![](https://images.humanitix.com/i/889b56f1-9470-4077-9d2d-21bffdbbb59e.jpeg@responsive-1250.webp) ### **Anya Roslan** Anya is down-to-earth, generous and full of energy - the kind of person who makes a room feel more alive, more honest and more possible. She is currently launching **soft pause**, a wellness brand centred on rest, care and more sustainable ways of living and working. Alongside this, Anya works as a fractional growth lead and strategist, helping ambitious teams grow with more clarity and momentum. ![](https://images.humanitix.com/i/5e8573a8-31d7-45d4-af16-48f3f1be5ea1.jpeg@responsive-1250.webp) ### **Sakshi S. Jansen** Sakshi is warm, funny and wonderfully direct - the person you want at the table when the conversation gets honest, interesting and a little bit cheeky. She is the founder of **Koala Lab**, an email/newsletter strategy specialist helping founders, experts and creative businesses build stronger relationships with their audiences through better content, email and communication. *** Together, they bring **humour**, **honesty** and a **refreshingly human** point of view to conversations about **money**, **work**, **ambition**, **rest**, and what it means to build **a life that** actually **feels good to live**. ## **Accessibility and inclusion** We want this to feel welcoming and accessible. If there is anything that would help you feel more comfortable attending, please reach out. You are welcome to come alone. You are especially welcome if you are introverted, do not know anyone, or are still figuring out what you are building, doing or becoming. ## **Questions?** Reach out to Lavinia via the Contact host button here or message Lavinia on LinkedIn. ## **Come for the brunch. Stay for the good humans.** We would love to have you there. *** #### **About Good Humans, Good Vibes** Good Humans, Good Vibes is a monthly gathering series hosted as part of the broader Good Humans ecosystem. The idea is to create warm, low-pressure spaces for kind, thoughtful and values-aligned people to meet, connect and have real conversations. Sometimes it might be brunch, sometimes coffee, sometimes cocktails, sometimes something else entirely. But always good humans, always inclusive, and always good vibes. #### **Hosted by Lavinia Kanagandran** Lavinia is the founder of **Good Humans Good Work** and the person behind **Good Humans, Good Vibes**. She works across social impact, digital, venture building, strategy and community-led change - helping good people bring their visions to life. Lavinia is hosting this first brunch to create more warm, low-pressure spaces for kind, thoughtful and values-aligned people to meet, connect and feel a little less alone in the work they are doing. **REGISTER HERE:** **[https://events.humanitix.com/good-humans-good-vibes-sunday-brunch-money-meaning-and-working-differently-june-2026](https://events.humanitix.com/good-humans-good-vibes-sunday-brunch-money-meaning-and-working-differently-june-2026)**
Haruki Murakami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, & Creative Writing
Haruki Murakami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, & Creative Writing
Welcome to the Melbourne Sci-Fi & Fantasy Meetup's first gathering for magic realism and creative writing! If you've read or are new to Haruki Murakami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Susanna Clarke, please come along. And for writers, this is also a space to talk about the craft of writing (any genre, fiction and non-fiction). I hope to make this a regular monthly or fortnightly event at other locations around Melbourne when the weather is warmer. But it's winter, so we'll have our first meetup at the Mitre Tavern in the CBD. Easy to find, and we don't have to wait outside in the icy wind waiting for tables. Join us for a coffee or glass of wine that stops time, cats with secret names, and good conversation about the books we love. After the event, we can kick on at the Mitre or maybe stroll over to a nearby wine bar or restaurant to continue the socialising. What to Bring: Paper, pen, and a story to share. I'll be giving you all some small, fun writing exercises and we'll see where the day takes us. About the host: I studied creative writing a long time ago, and finally getting back into it (creative writing major, planning post-grad in education). Tired of talking to AI chatbots in online courses, I joined the Melbourne Sci-Fi and Fantasy Meetup this year and was inspired at the last book club social to start this group.

Walk, Talk & Connect @ St. Kilda
Hi Everyone, The next walk & talk is happening Sunday 28th @ 1pm. We're meeting @ **Luna Park (entrance)** then walking together from there. For newcomers, this group is meant to help participants nurture and create a comfortable, trustworthy and safe emotional space to connect with other men, while sharing vulnerabilities about themselves. This will provide another great opportunity to practice being more present in the moment, authentic within ourself, while challenging our ability to break the ice with others in attendance. Let's continue practicing connecting in a deeper way with new people we meet. This group will help reinforce the benefit of showing vulnerability with others, while staying authentic to ourselves. This Sunday's group will be led by **Ra'id.** (Mindset Coach) and Co-led by **Fabien** (Group Facilitator) Looking forward to seeing you there. (message me thru meetup if needed)

Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you were quoted in *Truth in Comedy*, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**! The idea behind improvised comedy is to create entire scenes from scratch. A suggestion is taken from the audience and laughter is built on the spot. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway, Make Some Noise,* or *Wild 'n Out*; it can also be done in a longer way, to tell a complicated story, like *TJ & Dave*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and FREE!) weekly comedy event, brings the games for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Afterward, many members will hang out in *Gresso's* itself and get to know each other. Not only is this a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, your public speaking, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and build relationships that will last a lifetime, and you do that while laughing your butt off! Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "*Yes, And*" that you'll have a blast!
