Kon-Tiki Comedy Tuesday
**Kon-Tiki Comedy Tuesday!**
Zurich's longest standing weekly Comedy Night : English Standup at Kon-Tiki Bar since 2018!
**Tickets :** [https://shorturl.at/fgjmM](https://shorturl.at/fgjmM)
Kon-Tiki Comedy has long become a staple of Tuesday Nights in Zurich! Veterans, regulars, amateurs & newbies from all around the world show up to make people laugh. This Comedy Open Mic is regularly Hosted by Ahmet Bilge.
Kon-Tiki Comedy is the place for English Standup in central Zurich. Come join & laugh with us!
**Early Show starts at 19:30 pm**
**Frequently Asked Questions:**
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-
**Q: Is the show in English?**
A: YES. Kon-Tiki Comedy is always in English.
**Q: What's the difference of a Comedy Open Mic from a regular Comedy Show?**
A: Anybody who wants can go on stage at a Comedy Open Mic. A bunch of Comedians will be there, but they will be trying out jokes, because this is how Comedians find out if something is funny or not, so you get to be there at the birthplace of jokes. Often Comedy Open Mics are more casual & but also funny as well!
**Q: Can I perform Comedy also?**
A: Yes of course! Just contact theamericanstandupshow@gmail.com if you're interested in performing. Or directly go to the event page on facebook & write "SPOT" inside the event discussion. You'll be confirmed later & will get 5minutes to start off with. Anybody can sign up!
**Q: What about these seats?**
A : We have enough seats for everyone but the first come first served rule applies! Especially since Kon-Tiki Comedy is popular, often it is packed inside, so come early for good seats. What's early? Anything before 19:00 & you will have your seat of choice.
**Q : What about the late show?**
Depending on the turnout a late show is also available most of the time, please check the ticket page to see if there is a late show option. Basically if you can buy tickets to the late show, it's happening, if it's not an option for a ticket it's not! Both shows might be consolidated into one if there's not enough ticket sold for the late show. In this case you will recieve an e-mail telling you so.
**Q : Can I refund my ticket?**
There are no refunds allowed because it becomes too much work for a simple Comedy Open Mic, so only buy your ticket if you know you're for sure going to be able to make it. But if for some reason you can't make it, you are welcome to use your ticket for any future Kon-Tiki Comedy Shows. Just write an e-mail to exchange.
**Q : Can I buy tickets at the door?**
No please don't. Technically we can but it complicates everything, so just buy them online. Just to persuade you NOT to ask to buy at the door: Tickets at the door are 15.-CHF. Please buy online : )
**Q: Will it be funny?**
A : You betcha. You can't do a regular show since 2018 & not be funny.
**Any other questions:**
Email: theamericanstandupshow@gmail.com with the title "Kon-Tiki Comedy"
But if it's any of the questions covered by the FAQ above, I will still answer it, *but first I will insult you.*
**Legal Disclaimer:** Comedians may film their sets as well as the audience during the comedy show. By buying a ticket you consent to being filmed in this public space. If you ever have a problem with any clip published online you are very welcome to contact us & ask to have it removed, we are happy to accomodate you. Thank you for your understanding.

Building a Culture of Performance / Same Same but Different DevSecOps
Two exciting topics, two very experienced speakers and much networking opportunity. We are very much looking forward to the next DevOps Meetup Zurich.
Here's what's planned for the evening:
17:30 - 18:00 - Arrival and first drinks
18:00 - 18:45 - Building a Culture of Performance in Organizations by Josef Mayrhofer
18:45 - 19:30 - Same Same But Different : New DevSecOps by Kevin S Perera
19:30 - 20:30 - Networking, Open Space & More drinks
**Building a Culture of Performance in Organizations**
In a world where user experience distinguishes success from failure, organizations are increasingly concerned about how they can attract and retain more users. When digitized products experience performance issues, the stakes are high because engagement rates and sales drop significantly. Today, organizations still waste significant money due to application performance issues. They sprint from one performance failure to the next while technical debt grows. In this presentation, Josef will address pitfalls and successful strategies to transform organizations into performance-first enterprises. After overcoming some challenges that hinder businesses from sharing responsibility for performance, he will present a success story about how performance became part of a major European bankâs DNA.
**Josef Mayrhofer**
Josef is the founder of Performetriks, a global company specializing in performance engineering and cybersecurity that helps organizations achieve their performance and security goals. With over 20 years of experience optimizing mission-critical systems, Josef has built a reputation as a trusted expert at the crossroads of performance and cybersecurity. He holds a patent and is a speaker at international conferences, where he shares insights on digital performance, cyber resilience, and AI-driven observability. Additionally, Josef is a doctoral candidate at The George Washington University. His research focuses on improving the performance of Fast Flux botnet detection using deep learning. Driven by innovation and purpose, Josef believes that performance goes beyond speed; it encompasses culture, resilience, and ongoing improvement. His work continues to motivate organizations worldwide to make observability the foundation of digital excellence.
**Same Same But Different : New DevSecOps**
Is the prevalence of GenAI an opportunity for DevSecOps to shift left further than we ever imagined?
We are fluid in automation for deployment, test, track & measure.
We are seeing an acceleration in design & prototyping.
And yet we remain critically sensitive to the parts of the SDLC that sit to the left, the requirements that direct our development vector.
So how much further can DevSecOps shift left? And should it?
**Kevin S Perera**
Part Strategist, Part Architect, Part Planner, Part Builder, Fluent in Automation.
Kevin is a hybrid techie, remarkably good at disruptive transformation and general troublemaking across any industry.
Many thanks to our **sponsors**:

An Easy Intro to Feynman's Quantum ElectroDynamics (QED)
Title: An Easy Intro to Feynman's Quantum ElectroDynamics (QED)
Summary: One of the most delightful and informative physics books ever written is Richard Feynmanâs QED. In this short book, Feynman undertook the daunting task of explaining his Nobel-Prize-winning theory, Quantum ElectroDynamics, without any math except in a few elaborating footnotes. Remarkably, he succeeds! In this talk, Terry replicates many of his arguments to show how you, too, can understand one of the most fundamental mechanisms of physical reality by using not much more than lots of tiny one-hand clock dials moving through space.
Speaker: Terry Bollinger is a computer scientist Speaker: Terry Bollinger is a computer scientist with BS, MS and Professional degrees from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Design of a Quantum Photonic Full Adder Gate based on an Integrated Circuit
Title : Design of a Quantum Photonic Full Adder Gate based on an 8-mode Integrated Optical Circuit
Date: Feb 28 2026 Noon - 14:00 EST
Abstract: Multiport interferometers designed using the Clements decomposition algorithm can be used to implement compact quantum-photonic full-adder (FA) gates on photonic integrated circuits (PICs). By expressing each element of the FA gate matrix in terms of the permanent of a non-unitary matrix, enabled through Boson sampling, the required number of MZIs in the gate can be further reduced. In this presentation, we will discuss the design of an FA gate modeled as a four-photon scattering process on an eight-mode integrated optical circuit, where the permanents of submatrices determine the output probabilities. Simulation results demonstrate a fidelity of 1 and a success probability of 2.22 Ă 10âťâ´ for the FA gate. We will also examine the impact of phase-shifter and attenuator variations on fidelity and success probability using Ansys Q-Interconnect software. Finally, we will compare the performance of the proposed FA gate with a benchmark Toffoli gate designed using the same approach.
Speaker: Shafiqul Hai received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2007, and the M.Eng. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Lakehead University. His research interests include the modeling and characterization of compact nanophotonic devices and components for next-generation optical fiber and RF communication systems, as well as quantum computing on photonic integrated circuits.
