Gunung Nuang is well known for its steep sections, river crossings, and lush rainforest. The hike begins with a notoriously long stretch — about 5 km of almost flat trail — before it turns into a steep, unrelenting climb. It can be muddy and humid, definitely testing both stamina and mental strength.
