By walking slowly, breathing, observing, and using the five senses to perceive the sounds, light, taste, and textures of the forest, it promotes health, enhances well-being, and reduces stress. The forest itself possesses wonderful substances, such as phytoncides, which positively benefit the human immune and neurological systems. ANFT's forest bathing is not just simple strolling, but a deep natural therapy practice. The guide will lead participants through a series of sensory activation activities, such as deep listening, breathing, mindfulness, slow movements, tea tasting, and sharing. Through this process, participants can connect with nature more deeply, achieving healing and recovery of body and mind. Additionally, ANFT's forest bathing emphasizes community interaction and connection. # This is a great experience - and one we would like to take advantage of whilst the temperature is at its best for an exposed route. Join us for a stunning lakeside stroll that transitions into the Xiangshan Cloud Path. This 11km route is as smooth as it is beautiful, featuring gentle slopes that wind through the trees above a reservoir and over to the coast. **The Highlights:** Panoramic lake vistas, rock formations, lush greenery with flowering trees, finishing with sweeping views of the harbour and beach. We should end our walk around 3:00 PM near the beach. You can dive into a meal at a local restaurant or enjoy a packed lunch on the sand. **Logistics:** We’ll take taxis to and from the port, making the round-trip journey from Hong Kong nice and easy. Return: Once again, we will use taxis to return to the port area and reverse journey to Hong Kong and your buses home. **Important Hike Details** Total distance: 12.5 km Total Ascent: 350m (quite gentle slopes, spread out over the walk) Pace: Easy walking pace with breaks for rest and photos. Our primary groups are outdoor movement groups, but we are launching virtual groups for the state of Ohio and beyond and the groups will move outside in the spring, creating room for men's groups, women's groups and coed groups all over the country. Read below to learn about our groups and click the links at the bottom to apply. ### **What is an Outdoor Empowerment Group?** Our Outdoor Movement & Community Empowerment Groups are simple, guided experiences designed to help people reconnect with nature, themselves, and others. We combine some form of movement (hike, walk, run, bike, yoga, workout) and meaningful conversation within a simple community circle to create a space where individuals can support each other while prioritizing mental and physical well-being. More importantly you’ll get the secret of how to gain control over your life so the highs are higher and the lows go away. Wouldn’t it be nice to stop the wild roller coaster ride for good? Or at least make it a fun roller coaster ride, with more ups and downs. There is a hidden factor that will be going over and you’re going to be quite surprised what it is and how much it affects your life. We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator. Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros. 10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session.
