What Does Peace Look Like?
**What Does Peace Look Like? (Free Event)**
**âPeaceâ often implies âlack of conflictâ. But is that too narrow a definition? Is a peaceful world just one without war â or is it also one that supports our highest material & spiritual well-being? What role does spirituality play in fostering this higher vision of peace?**
**In a world too often defined by conflict and division, there is a growing recognition that peace encompasses more than just the absence of war. It implies the equitable distribution of resources, rights, and opportunities for all members of society. And looking around us, we can find efforts in place towards this end. But we could also probably say that we still have a long way to go to achieving this. So whatâs missing? Does a more just and lasting definition of peace necessitate not only the practical material means to achieve it but also a firm understanding of our spiritual nature and that we are all members of one human family? How could we aim to achieve true peace without both? How might a deeper understanding of our shared humanity, of the role of love and justice, help lay the foundation to true, lasting peace?**
**Come join a different kind of conversation â one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the underlying truths that unite us all â as we discuss the spiritual perspectives offered by the BahĂĄâĂ Teachings on a vision of what actual peace might look like. Join us for a lively discussion as we explore the role each of us can play in transforming our communities, in building a more just world where each of us can thrive.**
**âThe earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens.â â BahĂĄâĂ Teachings**
**\*\*\* This event is free and open to all regardless of background or belief. Donations will not be accepted.**

Justice isn't easy. Empathy is even harder. For over 45 years, Heather Shaner has fought for justice, defending those who can't afford a lawyer and earning the trust of countless clients. But when she's assigned to represent January 6th rioters, her unwavering empathy and commitment to second chances face the ultimate test. As the country grapples with that day's lasting impact, Heather works to bridge deep political divides one client at a time.

Healing Racism
Today's Meaningful Conversation explores the role of spirituality in eradicating and healing from the spiritual disease of racism. We will begin our exploration of this topic with a selection of passages from the BahĂĄâĂ Writings, which will help us consider the following questions:
* How does a spiritual outlook on racism help us better understand and address this vital issue?
* What changes in mind and heart will offer an effective antidote to racism?
* How can each of us contribute to true and lasting healing and transformation?
*âIf in this day a soul shall act according to the precepts and the counsels of God, he will serve as a divine physician to mankindâŚâ*

Columbus: A Study In Psalms--Psalm 3 and 4
Most people would agree that a great night's sleep is one of the sweetest experiences in life. Crawling into a wonderfully comfortable bed, drifting off to peaceful slumber, and awaking, feeling refreshed, energized, and ready for the day is a gift everyone welcomes. Unfortunately, nights of perfect sleep and restfulness can seem scarce. Particularly, during the truly hard times in life, good sleep can seem an impossibility.
The ancient shepherd-crowned-king, David, knew more than the average person about the challenge of getting a good night's sleep in the midst of being falsely maligned, hunted by enemies, and attacked by those who wanted him dead. He understood the terror of running for his life, and having thousands call for his death. What was his answer? Where could a man on the run find peace? What hope was there for a person in such circumstances?
David's hope and peace were found in the One Who he knew was Perfect Truth, Justice, Mercy, and Grace, the God Who had delivered His people before and Who would do so again, and again, and again. Because of God's provision David twice details that even in the midst of his enemies, he would "lie down and sleep, and wake again."
Psalm 3 and 4 point us to the hope in which those who follow after the Lord can be confident--that from the Lord comes deliverance. Join us at **6:30 pm, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at True Food Kitchen, Easton Town Center**, and be encouraged from God's Word!

Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association:
They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other churchâstate issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEAâs early wins and hard lessons, what weâre seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape â and practical ways to get involved.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online

I have reached out to several individuals who are affected. If you are a vegan, plan to attend the Oscar Party and did not receive an e-mail from me, please reach out via private message post a note below. Iâll provide details off-line.
