Connection Labs Online (aka Crossroads & Connections)
Connection Labs Online (aka Crossroads & Connections)
### Each Crossroads & Connections workshop is a fast, friendly mash-up: short demos, paired practices and intentional reflection. We keep it light, embodied, and social—so wisdom lands in your muscles and your circle, not only your mind. There isn’t one technique that fixes everything, for everyone, in every situation. ### What is it? We pair complementary domains to spark shared flow, fresh insight, and unforgettable “aha!” moments. You leave with lived skills, not just notes. * **Dialogue** gets you out of solo spin: small-group formats expose blind spots and sharpen “shared reality,” so your next move matches *this* person and *this* moment. * **Imaginal** practice is guided “as if” rehearsal you look *through*, not *at*: walking the beats before the scene means your body recognizes turns when stakes rise. * **Mindfulness** steadies the camera: attention stops jerking around, drama gets de-amplified, and you can catch the instant you’re narrating motives and swap in one honest question. * **Embodiment** makes it actionable through direct, non-verbal experience and how your inner experience matches your outer expression. Facilitators: Varies Fee: $30USD - Or a 10-pack for $200USD [Please visit here](https://awakentomeaning.com/crossroads-and-connections/) for registration and more information.

This kind of transition can bring a wide range of feelings and may have a ripple effect across many areas of life. RfR Support Group meetings are designed to be safe, anonymous spaces where you can openly share doubts, fears, and experiences—without judgment, proselytizing, or biased feedback. If you need someone to talk to before your meeting date, RfR offers both a hotline and an online chat for immediate support. As an inner and outer spiritual teacher, his role is to awaken the God-knowledge already within you. This discussion, following an earlier online and in-person ECK Light and Sound Service, features a pre-recorded talk by Sri Doug Kunin, the spiritual leader of Eckankar, followed by facilitated breakout discussions. *"It’s the same eternal mission for every Living ECK Master: to awaken the God-knowledge already within the human heart. While many people may not know about us, we have a global presence. Eckankar is not here to convert anyone. We honour individual choice and belief. Do the ECK tools and techniques help you find truth? Only you can decide.* *But even as a wide variety of our digital communications are expanding Eckankar’s worldwide presence, it’s not about the quantity of people we reach, but the quality of connection.* *Eckankar is only as good as its ability to help people connect with the divine principle. Are we able to do that in a way anyone can understand and apply? That’s key."* **\~ Sri Doug Kunin,** Spiritual Leader of Eckankar **Donations** These are free events; however, your donations are most gratefully received! What Can I Do? Invoking Our Sacred Warrior Inner Archetype
What Can I Do? Invoking Our Sacred Warrior Inner Archetype
**Sunday\, April 19\, 2026 \| 7:00 PM** (doors open 6:45 PM) **Hybrid Event —** in person at Toronto Theosophical Society, 792 Glencairn Ave., North York **Join online via Zoom:** [https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88064619247?pwd=0WvJAiLDKyQXu6bi0UmlMOkgjmVg59.1](https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88064619247?pwd=0WvJAiLDKyQXu6bi0UmlMOkgjmVg59.1) Free and open to the public **What Can I Do? Invoking our Sacred Warrior Archetype** In times of collective suffering and moral uncertainty, it's easy to fall into helplessness, rage, or inconsolable grief — responses that are deeply understandable, yet quietly paralyzing. This evening, we turn to a more demanding and more fruitful question: **What is *my* place in the work of personal and collective renewal?** We'll explore this question across four interconnected dimensions: * inner psychological work, * spiritual practice as service, * authentic relational dialogue, and * practical action in the world. Each of these plays a distinct role in the broader process of healing — and the evening is designed to show how they reinforce and complete one another. Rather than staying purely in the realm of ideas, we'll move into direct experience. The highlight of the evening will be a hands-on introduction to KORASOMI — a synthesis of the Korason Method for Authentic Voice & Dialogue and Hakomi — a mindfulness- and somatic-based practice for invoking the "Sacred Warrior" archetype within each of us. Through conscious sound, authentic movement, and chakra work, Hugh will guide us in learning a technique you can take home and continue to practice on your own. Underlying the whole evening is a simple but radical invitation: to refuse dehumanization, to act without hatred, and to understand that rebuilding integrity — personal or collective — is work each of us carries a small but real portion of. **About the speaker:** Hugh Smiley has been walking a path of inner inquiry, healing, and service for over four decades. His journey began early — shaped by his father's healing hands, a classical music training that led to his ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto at 17, and a deepening interest in spiritual and metaphysical studies that ignited during his university years, including a budding fascination with esoteric astrology. A pivotal chapter unfolded while living among indigenous peoples in Paraguay, where Hugh began meditating in nature and developed a healing practice rooted in shamanic chanting, bodywork, knowledge of the chakras, and the subtle bodies. This synthesis eventually gave rise to the Korason Method for Authentic Voice and Dialogue — a body-based, heart-centred approach to authentic expression and deep listening that he has since taught in 10 countries across 4 continents. Hugh trained directly with Ron Kurtz, founder of the Hakomi Method — a somatic-oriented, mindfulness-based approach to assisted self-discovery — becoming certified as both therapist and teacher. His therapeutic work weaves together Hakomi, the Korason Method, dreamwork, shamanic journey, gestalt, and an understanding of the subtle anatomy, creating a rich inner landscape for healing and self-knowledge. In 1988, following an inner vision, Hugh co-created Heartsong Hill — a 50-acre forested retreat on Georgian Bay — where eight years of transformative teaching and learning unfolded. He later completed a degree in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Toronto, and was awarded the Beattie Scholarship to research dialogue methods with NGOs in Cairo, which led to the founding of NACAD, the New AndaLuz Centre for Authentic Dialogue. He is currently supporting youth peace-building efforts with the ROHI Foundation in Cameroon. Hugh continues to offer counselling, creative voicework, and meditation coaching in Toronto, and leads a biweekly Mindful Circle online. His life's work is a living example of how inner transformation and outer service are not separate — but two expressions of the same journey.

Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, Columbus, Ohio
Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, Columbus, Ohio
From birth, human beings are learning. Before we are able to hold concrete memories, we are being shaped and impacted by everything about our lives and situations. From the point that we become capable of cognizant thought and memory, our lives could be summed up as a series of our responses to our circumstances, whether for good or for ill. Dr. Joe Dispenza sees a deep need for human beings to live *on purpose*. Rather than just living life in reaction mode, he challenges people to live intentionally, to seek to change the negative that we have encountered and to pursue the positive through purposeful steps in a different and healthy direction. His study and work seek to demonstrate the changes that can be made from the inside out. Join us as we take a look at new ways to grow at **6:30 pm,** **Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at True Food Kitchen, Easton Town Center, Columbus**. Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few. How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again. So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that. Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology life improvement center.
