Price: £3 when booking on TicketTailor
Benefits of Nordic Walking:
The fitness and health benefits of Nordic Walking are significantly greater than regular walking, trekking or even jogging, with scientific research from Europe and the USA proving that Nordic Walking:
Activates 90% of the body's muscles
Burns up to 46% more calories than regular walking
Increases aerobic effect by up to 25% compared to regular walking
Decreases load and strain on the lower body
Tones upper arms, shoulders and back muscles
Improves lateral mobility of the spine
Develops core stability and strength
Promotes an upright posture
These benefits are achieved through the use of specially designed poles and a properly learned and performed Nordic Walking technique, whereby the poles are used as a resistance tool to engage the upper body. The result is a low impact, high results, total body exercise.
As a low impact walking exercise, Nordic Walking is something that can be done and enjoyed individually or as a group activity, anywhere a person can normally walk.

First meeting of London "What do we want as a Sustainable Planet?"
The world is in crisis and many people think we've gone past the tipping point and the planet is doomed.
However, there are those who have hope and faith in science that some can survive the polycrisis and get to live in a sustainable society and planet.
But there's a problem... **There's no clear vision of what a sustainable society and planet should be**, and without that destination, how can we set out on the journey to get there?
Please join like-minded people to discuss this. We'll agree an agenda at the start of the meeting.
Bring an open mind, suggestions and perhaps a pad of paper.
**Here are some topics to be covered.**
Please use the comments/chat to suggest other areas for consideration
*Depending on the mood of attendees, the frequency of further meetups can be agreed.*
**WHAT DO WE WANT A SUSTAINABLE SOCIETY AND PLANET TO LOOK AND FEEL LIKE?**
· A planet with clean atmosphere, oceans and soil with systems in place to keep them that way
· The abolition of poverty and hunger
· Equality of opportunity for all to achieve a peaceful and contented life without fear of physical or other violence
· Access to healthcare, hygiene and sanitation for all
· Access to quality education for all
· A more responsible system of financial structures which embraces the best of co-operative production, capitalism and other systems
· A safe justice system for all
· Societies which respect for the diversity of opinion, ethnicity, sexuality, religion
· Respect for the natural resources and fragility of Planet Earth and their finite capacity
· Societies where the more fortunate, stronger and healthier help those less strong, less fortunate or less healthy.
· Peaceful co-existence between the varying communities of the planet
**What Freedoms ?**
· Freedom to travel anywhere
· Freedom to worship (should there be limitation such as worship should not be based on destroying the existing system…??)
· Freedom from violence
· Freedom from hate
· Freedom from poverty (how define?)
· Freedom of speech
· Freedom from anxiety about the future
· Freedom from concentration of power
· Freedom to preserve culture and arts
· Freedom to make decisions about one’s body
· Freedom to seek representation and to represent others
· Freedom to be different
· Freedom to be heard

London Society WALK & CHILL - Baker Street to Primrose Hill
Have you ever wanted to be immersed within either the city or nature in the form of a walk, socialise at the same time and chill out in the park or on some luscious greenery? If so, this may be the right walk for you.
Welcome to the first of the HYBRID events where you have the opportunity to explore all the pathways I’ll execute and finish off at any park or location with luscious greeneries.
With this particular event, we will be doing a mini stroll through Regents park and then chill at Primrose Hill for the scenic views, the ambiance and the setting sun. Feel free to bring your picnic and anything else you wish. A mixture of traversing through nature, discovering new regions and then settling at an amazing park.
My fellow explorers, if you enjoyed the event, I’m more than happy to accept any donations which of course are optional but will go a long way to help me unlock and deliver even more exciting and engaging events and resources: https://www.paypal.me/calvinjoy

WHERE - Baker Street/Primrose Hill

London Society WALKING TOUR - Portobello & Grenfell
Have you ever wanted to be immersed within either the city or nature in the form of a walk and socialise at the same time? If so, this may be the right walk for you.
Welcome to another one of the WALK events where you have the opportunity to explore all the scenic routes I’ll execute whether there’s nature within, whether we get immersed within the city and feel great about yourself.
With this particular walk, we’ll be immersed within Portobello and Grenfell. Portobello contains history around the area that revolves around celebrities, music and even movies that took place. Grenfell is an area full of silence due to the unfortunate accident that took place. Post Grenfell, the strongest community ambience was formed. We’ll be exploring the area where they formed a community and if possible, we may go nearer to the site. This particular tour is launched as Grenfell is going to be taken down. They’ve started deconstructing so it’s now or never.
After this walk, we will be heading to ‘The Garden Bar & Grill’ if you wish. Although it’s in a quiet location near Latimer Road, the atmosphere is very welcoming. The interiors feel like a modern yet chilled bar but if you go further, there’s a garden you can sit in too which brings out a lively yet soothing vibe. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out. To find out more, check their site at https://www.gardenbarw10.com

VIRTUAL INVESTMENT CLUB
Our monthly investment club had been running for over 25 years but we had to change the format due to reduced numbers of stockbrokers prepared to deal with these types of clubs. We have tried using a virtual format where imaginary money was used but it has now been decided that this was not working or encouraging new members.
We have now decided to change, once again, to a type of club which IVC had, at least thirty years ago. As shown by the new name of this club, we will be attempting to learn from and also help other members.
The meeting will give everyone a chance to discuss the stock market, the economy and anything else which could effect the various share prices. The idea is to help individual members with their investment portfolios to either buy or sell shares funds. We will also talk about individual shares, funds or even bonds/gilts by explaining individual price changes, share ratios and anything else which could influence other members with their investment decisions.
Contact Roland in advance, preferably by e-mail on the day before, so that he can send you a link to click on at the start of the meeting.

In-Person Event: The Answers to Depression & Anxiety
This is an in-person meeting. At this meeting you will get answers to depression and anxiety. Find out the source of them and how to get rid of them.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like anxiety, depression, unhappiness, loneliness, hopelessness, anger, fear, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not due to a chemical imbalance in your brain from some nebulous chemical reaction "by chance".
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
