Lyric writing exercises
Lyric writing weekly group practice.
A few object writing rounds to start, get our reps in â a favorite from the canon, Write Better Lyrics by P. Pattinson.*
Followed by other exercises.
I adapt the program depending on who shows up.
*Object writing : a noun picked through a random word generator, a 10 min timer to delve into our sensory imagination and free-flow with this prompt. We then take turn sharing.
Let's join the Cyclo Chevreuse (not an official PCB ride)
Apologies for the late posting, this one snuck up on me again. The annual Cyclo Chevreuse, presented by Paris Bike Co and Expatriés Triathlon, will
be held Sunday starting at 9 a.m at Paris Bike Co. The ride includes two different routes â 115 km and 60 km â that look the same for the first 30 km. The organizers will send you routes after you register.
**[Register here](https://www.helloasso.com/associations/expatries-triathlon/evenements/cyclo-chevreuse-april-2026-paris-bike-co-and-expatries-triathlon)**
This is NOT an official PCB ride, so it is vital to save the map to your computer before embarking Sunday morning.
For a $6 donation you get to meet new friends, ride an adventurous route and finish with a beer and sausage. I recommend this ride enthusiastically and I am planning to be there myself. If it's warm enough, I'll wear my orange and white PCB team jersey.
Safe riding!

The Poolesville Ramble with Sugarloaf Option
Arrive at 9:30 am
Pedal at 9:45 am
Join us for this scenic ride with great views of Sugarloaf Mountain, pristine farmland, and peach trees along Peach Tree Road.
There is also an option to go up Sugarloaf Mountain. Doing so, would add another 6 to 8 miles and 350 feet of climbing. We can decide at the beginning of the ride if we want to add the Sugarloaf Mountain climb.
This route is a long time favorite of local cyclists with its use of lightly traveled country roads through Western Montgomery County's Agricultural Preserve area.
After the ride, we can go either to Rockland Farm Winery for a much-deserved glass of wine and pizza or to Bassett's Restaurant.
