Thursday night, hopefully weather will be nice. Former Police front man and solo singer songwriter, the now 74 year old, Gordon Sumner (aka Sting) still puts on a good show. Ted Garber is a genre-bending multi-instrumentalist whose “BluesAmericanaRock” combines classic showmanship with a captivating singer-songwriter sensibility. His smokey, bluesy vocals, howling harmonica riffs and screaming guitar licks take us on a diverse musical journey from the Big Apple to the Big Easy, hovering in the Mississippi Delta before heading South of the Border. Our meetings are informal, and we tend to discuss whatever anyone has brought with them to show as well. We also discuss local rockhounding ideas. Even though we usually plan to wrap up around 9 pm, most of us are usually still chatting at 10. It is amazing the amount of knowledge that we share with each other and the body of knowledge that we have as a group. All of our meetings have been great (even when only a few show up). I do ask that you RSVP for our meeting, but... if you haven’t RSVP'd and would still like to come to the meeting – please do. The RSVP helps the meeting by showing others that we do have a group and that there will be a meeting that night. Our group has been meeting for over 10 years now. We have over 350 total members and we’ve maintained a 5-star rating for our meetings.
