Do you play mandolin, mandola, mandocello, guitar, or bass? Would you like to? The Mandoleers are looking for musicians to join us. We play a variety of music genres, from classical and semi-classical to jazz, contemporary and a wide range of folks from around the world. **Rehearsal Details**: There is no requirement to audition. Reading music is helpful, but if you don't read music, bring a recording device. We rehearse (almost) every Tuesday evening from **7:30 to 9:30 PM** at: Clarendon United Methodist Church, 606 N. Irving Street, Arlington, VA 22201 **Please RSVP if you plan to attend!** The door to the church is *locked*, so we will need to come let you in. If you are not sure what instrument to play, assuming you play multiple stringed/fretted instruments, our Conductor will assist you to decide. Come the whole time or if you just spend 30 minutes. All are welcome. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own coloring supplies but, if you don't have any, I will have plenty and am happy to share! (coloring books, colored pencils, and markers). Part of the mission of this group is to provide us an opportunity to check out AND SUPPORT local businesses. A night of early 2000s bliss. The band Starting Early will be playing their favorites from the pop-punk/emo genre. Think old Fall Out Boy, blink 182, Dashboard Confessional, etc. They will be joined by the band Molly & the Static. They are an angst-driven (but fun), strange and unlike anything you've really seen act. Paramore covers, please!

Free drum jam in a beautiful park, welcoming community. We start at 6:30 and jam until 9:30 at latest, the park closes at 10:00. Please bring a chair or stool to sit on. It's a short walk across the bridge from the parking lot and the whole area is well lit after dark. Park near the large, white restroom building. We always have first timers as well as regulars and we all have fun drumming together. Bring your drum if you have one. I have a few extra drums and percussion instruments in case you don't have one yet. Looking forward to seeing you there! Mark P.S. If you want to bring cymbals or any other drum gear, please show up early to set up. Also please be aware that other people are going to play the kit as well.
