Blue Note Burlesque at Sid Gold's
TICKETS: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/blue-note-burlesque-at-sid-golds-request-room-mar-2026-tickets-1980559218939?aff=oddtdtcreator
A *blue note* is a musical moment that doesn’t quite land where you expect. And that's the spirit behind this burlesque revue from DMVariety!
Start your weekend early with ***Blue Note Burlesque***, a night of vintage tease and thrilling variety acts that'll leave you exclaiming "I can't believe I found this in an alley!"
Join Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey alum **Jim Dandy**, award-winning burlesque performer **Delilah Dentata**, and guest artists **D3ADP4NN**, **London St. Juniper**, and **Miss Rachael** for a night of performances that are a little off-key in all the best ways.
We invite you to stick around after the show - Sid Gold's piano karaoke begins right where we leave off. Start your evening with our sensationally skilled performers, end it by tearing the walls down with your piano-backed rendition of “My Heart Will Go On.”
Doors: 7:00 p\.m\. \| Show: 7:30\-9:00 p\.m\.
Adv: $25 \| Day\-of: $30
Please note: The entrance to Sid Gold's is in the alley between 4th and 5th St. NE. (Look for the "Piano Bar" sign!)
BAD Singalong: Disney Divas and Leading Ladies
PLEASE NOTE: BAD stands for Broadway And Disney.
Mostly Broadway and Disney, all night. That's right.
No karaoke mic, just an old fashioned singalong.
Celebrate Women’s History Month the BAD Singalong way: loud, dramatic, and powered by women and femmes who knew exactly what they were doing. This singalong centers divas, villains, leading ladies, and complicated icons whose songs still demand to be sung at full volume.
The playlist is shaped by the people who show up and speak up: a crowd-built mix of Broadway and beyond, big feelings and bigger belts, petty anthems, power ballads, and unforgettable key changes. If it’s a song that lives rent-free in your head, there’s a good chance it'll make the cut.
No solos required, enthusiasm strongly encouraged. Come scream-sing with friends, meet new ones, and honor Women’s History Month together, loudly, and on purpose. 💅🎤
I'll get there by 6:30 pm to setup. Doors open by 7 pm, if you get there early. We'll be upstairs.
You can join our FB group here to keep up with news and events, as well as vote for songs in the playlist: fb.com/groups/BADSingalong
Generally looking at third Thursdays throughout 2026, adjusting for scheduling depending on conflicts for hosts, and holidays for regular attendees, which will be confirmed no later than the month before.
The Central Maryland Rock and Mineral Collectors Exchange Monthly Meetup
**CMRMCE** meetup
Meetings start at 7 pm
Meeting address:
6425 Abel St
Elkridge MD 21075
Our meetings are always free and open to everyone.
Our meetings are informal, and we tend to discuss whatever anyone has brought with them to show as well. We also discuss local rockhounding ideas.
Even though we usually plan to wrap up around 9 pm, most of us are usually still chatting at 10. It is amazing the amount of knowledge that we share with each other and the body of knowledge that we have as a group. All of our meetings have been great (even when only a few show up).
I do ask that you RSVP for our meeting, but... if you haven’t RSVP'd and would still like to come to the meeting – please do. The RSVP helps the meeting by showing others that we do have a group and that there will be a meeting that night. If you RSVP’d yes and can’t make it, that’s OK too (you can always change your RSVP at any time).
I hope that you will consider attending (newbie or Guru). Our group has been meeting for over 10 years now. We have over 350 total members and we’ve maintained a 5-star rating for our meetings. I believe that you will enjoy yourself and we will enjoy your company as well.
As always, everyone is invited to our meetings (including your non-Rockhound guests). Our meeting size averages about 4 to 9 members per meeting, but we have had as many as 14 attend.
I hope you can make it, we are very informal, and if you can, bring something (rocks, fossils, **yard rock**, book, map, or **whatever**) that you would like to discuss.
I truly look forward to meeting you.

⚡ Why You Should Go
Opportunities to see artists of this caliber locally don’t come around often—and they don’t stay cheap.
If you’ve ever said “I should go to more shows”—this is your moment.
Siamese Dreamers: A Smashing Pumpkins Tribute Band!
Siamese Dreamers are the DMV’s premier tribute to the Smashing Pumpkins, dedicated to accurately recreating the sound of one of the 90’s most groundbreaking, sonically diverse, and influential rock bands at their best. Free show!
Monkeeing🐒 around with the Elks 🫎
If you were born in ‘62 like I was, you grew up with one of the greatest television shows of all time (well, I was 5yo at the time 😆), the Monkees! A conceived boy band for TV, that was made up of four talented musicians- Davey Jones, Mike Nesmith, Mickey Dolenz, and Peter Tork. Their three #1 hits included Last Train to Clarksville, Daydream Believer, and Neil Diamond’s I’m a Believer.
The Jelly Roll Mortals are fresh off their triumphant performance at the Buddy Holly Winter Dance and turn their talents on late 60’s power pop.
The Rockville Elks Lodge has cheap drinks and “somewhat edible substances” for sale. Plentiful parking out back.
There’s a $15 cover charge and the band starts at 7:30. I’ll try to reserve a couple of tables and arrive at 7.
TINA - The Tina Turner Musical - Curtain at 8PM

Folks will need to buy tickets on their own, though I will keep an eye on any 4-pack offers. Please use the comment section below to start forming a ticket block.
This musical reveals a comeback story like no other, of a woman who dared to defy the bounds of racism, sexism and ageism to become the global Queen of Rock n’ Roll. TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL is a celebration of resilience and an inspiration of triumph over adversity.
One of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, Tina Turner has won 12 Grammy Awards and her live shows have been seen by millions, with more concert tickets sold than any other solo performer in music history.
Featuring her much loved songs, TINA – The Tina Turner Musical is written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall and directed by the internationally acclaimed Phyllida Lloyd.
THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL is recommended for ages 14 and up. The show runs 2 hours and 40 minutes, including one intermission.
Sunday Serenade with the Eric Byrd Trio

Bring a chair. We sit near the front to the right facing the band.
The Welcome Spring SOJO (3/21/26)
The arrival of spring is reason for song! See you at SOJO!
Seasoned SOJO'ers already know the program, but below are all the details which may be helpful to our new members.
MOST IMPORTANT POINTS:
1. If you have copies of Rise Up Singing and Rise Again, please bring them. If you don't, we may have some extras available for you to borrow (one time only, please). Both books are easy to find and order online. And here's a link to find YouTube Videos of any song in either book. https://www.riseupandsing.org/songs/search
2. Feel free to bring lyrics and chords to hand out for songs not in the books. If you'd like to bring a song that most people don't know well, see if you can find a YouTube link and post it in the comments when you RSVP. We'd like to listen a few times before the SOJO to get the hang of it.
3. Bring something to drink, as singing is likely to make you thirsty.
4. We appreciate (but do not require) contributions to cover our room rental costs of $75 per session.
5. Please do RSVP. It helps us know how to set up the room and allows us to contact you if we have to cancel.
***
FURTHER DETAILS, if you like:
* Our regular gatherings take place on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. We meet from 2 to 5 p.m. with a break around 3:30. You can come for the whole time or just part of it. If you can arrive a little early to help set up or stay a little late to help put things back in order, that would be great. Occasionally we take pictures of our events. If you would rather not be photographed, just politely let the person with the camera know and step out of view. We'll be respectful of your wishes.
Whether you're new to SOJO or not so new, we look forward to singing and playing with you!

Celebrate National Chip and Dip Day!
***Okay, call me crazy but you have got to try their chip n dip!*** Club 185 is a true hidden gem in German Village! Seriously, old school, good comfort food and drink. We will try to gather in spaces near the windows. While we'll share Chip n Dip, you'll want to order a sandwich, too.
**Where the Chip Began (1817)**
Potato chips can be traced back to an English chef, William Kitchiner, who includes ‘crisps’ in his bestselling cookbook, “The Cook’s Oracle.”
**Chip and Dip Popularity**
The popularity of chip and dip skyrockets at the end of World War II with new entertainment fads and the introduction of Lipton’s new advertising campaign for their famous French Onion Dip. (Club 185 doesn't openly admit it, but I'm pretty sure that's their dip recipe!)
**[Club 185](http://club185.com/)**—a true neighborhood bar serving since 1954, when it was known as a local 'speak-easy'. Located in German Village, Club 185 features a menu of quality casual comfort food and full bar. From politicians to lawyers, hardhats to hipsters—all find Club 185 the perfect place to tame their hunger and quench their thirst!
**PARKING**: I know, brick street parallel parking can be a pain. Two other choices, metered parking along Livingston heading towards Children's Hospital or across the street in the large church lot (park in spaces farthest away from the church entrance doors, closer to the street).
**PRE-EVENT**: **HAPPY HOUR (3-5pm)**: Italian drinks and bites at [Cento's happy hour](https://centogermanvillage.com/menus/), nearby.
