Bray Head Photowalk
We’ll explore the dramatic coastal trails and panoramic viewpoints of Bray Head, one of the most visually rewarding walks near Dublin. From woodland paths and rugged cliff edges to expansive sea views and the iconic summit cross, this walk offers endless opportunities to work with light, texture, scale, and storytelling.
The goal is simple: slow down, observe carefully, and shoot with intention.
Along the route, we’ll experiment with composition, exposure, timing, landscape framing, candid moments, and using natural light in constantly changing outdoor conditions.

## **📍 Meeting Point**
Raheen Car Park, Bray Head
📅 Saturday, 23 May 2026
🕒 10:00 hrs
***
### **What to expect**
* A relaxed photowalk through Bray Head Looped Walk
* Coastal landscapes, woodland trails, cliff views, textures, and candid moments
* Practical, real-time photography tips while shooting
* Opportunities to experiment with composition, exposure, movement, and perspective
* A casual post-walk coffee session to review shots and exchange ideas
***
### **About the walk**
The Bray Head Loop is one of Wicklow’s most scenic coastal walks, offering spectacular views across Bray, Dublin Bay, the Irish Sea, and the Wicklow Mountains.
The route combines woodland trails, dirt paths, rocky sections, and open cliffside viewpoints. The climb to the summit cross is relatively short but steep in places, with some uneven terrain and light scrambling near the top.
On a clear day, visibility stretches for miles, making this an excellent location for landscape photography and learning how to work with depth, scale, and changing natural light.
**Walk details**
* Grade: Moderate
* Distance: \~5.5 km loop
* Terrain: Uneven trails, rocky sections, woodland paths
***
### **This is for you if you want to**
✅ Get more comfortable using your camera beyond Auto
✅ Understand shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and exposure in real situations
✅ Improve landscape and outdoor composition
✅ Learn how to work with changing weather and natural light
✅ Meet other photographers and creative people
***
### **Benefits**
* Experience Bray differently by actively observing instead of just walking

* Get feedback and inspiration from other photographers
***
### **What to bring**
📷 Any camera (phones are absolutely fine)
👟 Comfortable walking shoes with good grip
☔ Weather-appropriate clothing
💧 Water/snacks
💰 Money for coffee or food after the walk
***
### **Weather note**
If conditions are too poor or unsafe for the hike, we’ll still meet in Bray and turn the session into a photography discussion and photo review meetup instead of cancelling.
***

Killiney Hill Walking Tour - Guided Historical Walk and Time to Chat!
Join us on a history-focused walking tour of Killiney Hill Park!
My name is Marina Boyle and I'm a local tour guide excited to lead a tour of Killiney Hill Park! I’ll be taking you through everything from the obelisk to the quarry, and explaining why the stories of Killiney Castle and Daedalus and Icarus have enchanted visitors to the park for years. Whether you are local, new to the area, or wanting to learn and make friends at the same time, this tour is for you.
We'll start at the car park in Killiney Hill, which is accessible via Dalkey DART station, car, or the 59 bus. Together we'll visit all the highlights of the park, where I'll explain the local history and leave time for guests to chat and make connections as well.
This event will start at 15:30 sharp and last approximately 1.5 hours. Please note that this is a tip-based tour, and most guests choose to contribute around €5–€10 per person (or more if the tour was unforgettable 😄). Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
I am looking forward to meeting you!
Let’s play… Ironsworn / Dead Serious
Join us every Sunday and tell a story as a group by playing a beginner-friendly roleplaying game. Every week we have 2-3 different games - you will choose which game you play on the day. All materials provided and rules are explained at the start of each game, you just need to bring your imagination.
🎭 **This week's facilitators:**
* ⚔️ **Vishnu** with *[Ironsworn](https://shawn-tomkin.itch.io/ironsworn)*, a dark fantasy RPG of survival and perilous quests across the harsh Ironlands, where your forefathers were exiled generations ago. Dreadful omens plague your settlements: seers wake screaming, and the standing stones weep black water on moonless nights. Something is coming and you are Ironsworn, heroes bound by sacred vows to find and face it.
* 🧬 **Cyrus** with *[Dead Serious](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a_8HoeLE_anm-9TifDPy71cig5l92P9P/view?usp=sharing)*, a one-page RPG where you play invincible unyielding warriors. The most ELITE of the ELITE: The DREADBUTCHERS. But the squad has a malfunction - they can experience EMOTION. In this game you must always remain in character. If you laugh, stop talking in a DEEP IMPOSING voice or don't take the mission seriously your character might…EXPLODE!

Details for the event (number of groups and games) will be published here or earlier on our [Discord server](https://tinyurl.com/indie-rpgs-dublin). Feel free to ask the organisers any questions you have (here or on Discord).

Ensuring Software Quality in the world of AI Developers - Matt Eland
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
Like it or not, AI agents are now capable of turning a quickly written paragraph of requirements into a pull request that is ready to be integrated into real-world production applications and it's now our responsibility to make sure AI doesn't go rogue and take down prod - or corrupt our data by misunderstanding the requirements or our existing schemas. In this session we'll explore strategies to protect our codebases through unit and integration testing, documentation, and code review along with additional ways of providing context and guard rails to our AI agents as they carry out the work we've assigned them to do. By the time we're done, you'll have a firm grasp of the problem and understand some helpful options for protecting your codebase from vibe coding mishaps getting YOLOed into prod.
