Ship It Safely: Mastering AI Agent Orchestration
Ship It Safely: Mastering AI Agent Orchestration
Welcome to the age of the Agentic Stack, where we bridge the gap between deterministic engineering and the new frontier of autonomous systems. We’ll explore how to build AI agents that fulfill the security, reliability, and automation requirements for the enterprise, and how the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is being rebuilt from the ground up by agentic IDEs. **THIS MEETUP will be in ENGLISH and HYBRID\. \|** Zoom Link is visible for remote attendees after registration. **\*\*\* AGENDA \*\*\*** * 6:30\-7:00 PM \| Doors open\. Grab some snacks & drinks\. * 7:00 PM \| Welcome & Intro **Start of the hybrid meetup** * 7:05 PM \| **The Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in the age of AI Agents** by Harald Seipp (Principal Client Engineering EMEA Solution Architect & STSM at IBM) & Thomas Südbröcker (Senior Engineer and Solution Architect at IBM) * around 8:05 PM \| **Mastering Multi-Agent Systems with the Agentic Layer** \- Florian Mallmann \(Senior Software Engineer at QAware\) * afterwards: More snacks & drinks, and a lot of time for networking with all attendees and speakers. **\*\*\* ABSTRACTS \*\*\*** **The Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in the age of AI Agents - Harald Seipp (Principal Client Engineering EMEA Solution Architect & STSM at IBM) & Thomas Südbröcker (Senior Engineer and Solution Architect at IBM)** This session explores how agentic AI is reshaping every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), transforming development workflows from requirements gathering to maintenance. Using IBM’s perspective on agentic IDEs, the presentation demonstrates how AI‑driven tools can autonomously understand context, plan and execute multi‑step tasks, generate code and tests, refactor across entire codebases, and assist in deployment and troubleshooting. Attendees will learn how these capabilities reshape developer roles, accelerate solution workshops and pilot builds, and enable teams to deliver more with fewer resources. Risks, best practices, and the evolving future of autonomous SDLC pipelines are also discussed, offering a pragmatic view of how to adopt agentic development responsibly and effectively. If time permits, we can also provide a brief look at agentic Ops, including a Kubernetes cluster administration live demonstration. **Mastering Multi-Agent Systems with the Agentic Layer - Florian Mallmann (Senior Software Engineer at QAware)** The software landscape is undergoing a paradigm shift. Agentic AI. While microservices operate deterministically, AI agents act probabilistically and often unpredictably, making them autonomous. This presents a significant challenge for platform engineers and DevOps teams. In this talk, we will demonstrate how our open source [Agentic Layer](https://github.com/agentic-layer) helps to develop agents that meet high enterprise standards for security and reliability. We will showcase a live demonstration of three critical pillars for robust AI development: * **Workload Orchestration:** Discover how we define modular agent logics and chain them together to create highly efficient, scalable workflows. * **Quality Plane (Testability):** Say goodbye to the "prompt lottery." We will demo how to implement automated test cases that make the output quality and logical correctness of your agents objectively measurable. * **Compliance Plane (Guardrails):** See "security through technology" in action. We'll show you how to write and deploy real-time guardrails that prevent personally identifiable information (PII) leaks and ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements. Whether you are building your first agent or scaling an existing system, this live demo will give you practical insights into deploying safe, predictable, and high-performing AI applications. \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* Please note that photos are taken during the meetup. 🌿 NATURE RESET – Digital Short Detox 🌿 Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed by constant notifications, responsibilities, noise, and the fast pace of modern life? Join us for a gentle midday reset in nature. For 30 minutes, we will step away from screens, obligations, and mental overload to reconnect with our breath, our bodies, and the natural world around us. What to expect: 🎵 Live relaxing flute music 🌬️ Breathing exercises 🤸 Gentle stretching and mindful movement 🌱 Grounding and stress release practices 🌳 Connection with nature 💚 A small, friendly and supportive group This is not a performance, a therapy session, or a fitness class. It is a simple invitation to slow down, relax, and return to yourself. Whether you work in business, an office, education, healthcare, or simply feel overstimulated by daily life, you are welcome. 📍 Parc Leopold, Brussels 🕧 12:30–13:00 The pin marks the exact location of our meeting. We will be in the park, on the upper level, under a large, old tree, a little higher up than the playground. It's a lovely spot that will shelter us even if there is a light drizzle. If you're looking for me, keep an eye out for a woman with a mat and a flute. 📅 Every day from 9 June to 26 June, except Mondays, Wednesdays and weekends. 💚 Small and intimate group. 🎁 Entry by voluntary donation to help cover Meetup costs and support music equipment. Bring a mat or blanket, comfortable clothing, water, and an open heart. Take a breath. Slow down. Return to nature. ⏰ Please arrive 5 minutes before the start if possible. This will give you time to settle in, place your mat comfortably, and enjoy a smooth transition from the busy day into a relaxed and peaceful state. About the Facilitator I am a musician and music educator with a deep passion for nature, wellbeing, and human connection. I am deeply in love with nature, especially forests and mountains. Music and nature have been my greatest teachers and sources of inspiration throughout my life. I play the wooden flute, sing, and create spaces where people can slow down, relax, reconnect with themselves, and experience the restorative power of music and nature. My intention is to offer a simple, welcoming environment where people can pause, breathe, release tension, and find a moment of peace in the middle of a busy day. Brussels Runners - Tuesday Intervals
Brussels Runners - Tuesday Intervals
We do cycles of 4-6 weeks, with a progressive load, and a recovery week at the end of the cycle. Session: * 10 - 20’ warm up (easy run and drills) * Core session (ie. 6x5' - 2' recovery) * Cool down We run together during Warm-up, and cool down and tey to regroup during recovery time. Paces are not imposed (everyone runs at his/her own pace) given the intensity suggested. Notes: It's NOT required to have an activity tracker or smart watch to be able to follow the session, as I'll be giving signals with a whistle. Intervals training is not advised for total beginners. To have an idea, the average pace at the warm up is around 5'45"/km-6'15"/km so this pace should feel very comfortable ***Acknowledgement of member responsibility and release of liability.*** By signing up for this event, you agree to release the organizers from any responsibility and liability in all claims. Deep Conversation - Question Chosen in Session
Deep Conversation - Question Chosen in Session
How do we connect to people? What is so great about being different? Is love selfless? Should we be dreamers or realists? What values are we losing? When are we at our best? Does childhood ever end? Is morality a matter of convenience? What makes a person beautiful? Such questions, and many more, await you Sunday at Sister's Cafe (second floor) . After introductions we will collect questions from the group participants, choose one by voting then discuss it for an hour. Then most of us stay for drinks and bizarre conversations :-).
Debate Night: Crime and Free Will
Debate Night: Crime and Free Will
Can crime be predicted by algorithms? And if so, should we use them to prevent crimes from happening? This question has fueled many dystopian works of fiction, such as **Minority Report**, which imagines a technology capable of predicting crimes in precise detail and raises fundamental questions about free will and individual responsibility. **Person of Interest** explores a more realistic scenario, where machine learning and mass surveillance are used to identify high-risk individuals through the monitoring of communications. Many episodes of **Black Mirror** similarly examine the consequences of predictive technologies and their impact on privacy, liberty, and social control. A common theme emerges from these stories: such technologies are often portrayed not as tools of public safety, but as threats to freedom and democracy. Yet the idea is not purely fictional. While no system today can predict crimes with the certainty depicted in science fiction, predictive algorithms are already being used in various aspects of law enforcement and criminal justice. **COMPAS**, for example, has been used in American courts to estimate the likelihood that a defendant will reoffend. **Geolitica**, formerly known as **PredPol**, uses historical crime data to forecast crime hotspots and guide police deployment. More broadly, advances in artificial intelligence, big data, and digital surveillance continue to expand our ability to identify patterns in human behavior. Some even point to the Chinese **Social Credit System** as an example of how large-scale data collection can be used to monitor and influence citizens. Now that the technological capabilities have already been laid out, should we, as a society, pursue the endeavor of developing a predictive algorithm that would allow us to prevent crime? Or is there a moral imperative that prevents us from doing so? Join us as we debate whether predictive crime technology represents the future of public safety or the first step toward a surveillance dystopia. This debate will follow a British Parliamentary format with eight debaters split into **four teams of two.** Participants who wish to speak are highly encouraged to bring a paper and pen. You are welcome to participate even if you have no prior debating experience. We aim for debates that are respectful, constructive, and welcoming: * **Respect ideas and people** Listen actively, stay quiet while others speak, and debate arguments, not identities or beliefs. * **Be concise and civil** Keep questions short and relevant; avoid hostility, hate speech, or discrimination. * **Respect boundaries and time** No unwanted advances or suggestive behavior; arrive on time to avoid disrupting the debate. * **Follow moderators** They guide the discussion and ensure fairness.
Wednesday Badminton Mounier (no beginners, competitive)
Wednesday Badminton Mounier (no beginners, competitive)
**First time comers** Please make sure to read the rules and contact the organizer before! Otherwise you will be moved to waiting list. Apologies for inconvenience but we have to do it to avoid no-shows. **Games format.** 95% are double games (unless someone needs a break), typically 4 people play together 2 sets and then mix with players from other fields. We play with plastic shuttles - Yonex Mavis 2000 (which are provided). **Registration** If it's your first time, please send a private message to the host to confirm. No-shows are taken quite seriously because they unbalance the games a lot. Also once you register please keep an eye on you private messages, in case we need to contact you. **Players level** Having players with much less experience often unbalances the game making it much less interesting for more experienced players. We still try to be welcoming. As a rule of thumb, if you know what a "clear" is, you are welcome to join. (Note that on Sundays the attitude is a bit more relaxed than on Wednesdays, it's the weekend after all ;) ) Otherwise, feel free to get in touch with me (Timur) and we can see if we can arrange so you and existing players can have good experience playing. **Price and payments** The price of participation is EUR 8.95. Payment is on-site in cash, or via payconiq. Info provided during or shortly after the event. **Cancelations and no-shows** * Switches and cancellations are free of charge if done more than 50 hours before the start of the matches * If you cancel within the 50-hour window before the event starts, you will be placed on the wait-list for the next week's event, whether or not a replacement is found. If no replacement is secured, you'll still need to cover your share of the costs.

In-Person Event: The Answers to Depression & Anxiety
In-Person Event: The Answers to Depression & Anxiety
This is an in-person meeting. At this meeting you will get answers to depression and anxiety. Find out the source of them and how to get rid of them. Did you know that unwanted emotions like anxiety, depression, unhappiness, loneliness, hopelessness, anger, fear, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not due to a chemical imbalance in your brain from some nebulous chemical reaction "by chance". Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Hubbard Dianetics Foundation of Central Ohio and Church of Scientology of Central Ohio.
