Authentic presence
The practice of authentic presence is about freely expressing and revealing yourself while being with others. Through this practice, you learn to let go of habitual patterns and conditioned responses, allowing you to form deeper, more genuine connections rooted in who you truly are.
## About the event
Authentic presence is a path of radical honesty. It creates a safe and supportive environment where you can look at yourself with fresh eyes. At the same time it often is fun, enjoyable, beautiful, and meaningful.
Ultimately, this practice leads to a closer connection with yourself and more meaningful relationships with others.
Join these beginner sessions to learn basic techniques from authentic relating and circling. Activities include meditations, dialogues, and exercises on sharing and owning your experience. No prerequisites—just come as you are!

Brussels Runners - Tuesday Intervals
We do cycles of 4-6 weeks, with a progressive load, and a recovery week at the end of the cycle.
Session:
* 10 - 20’ warm up (easy run and drills)
* Core session (ie. 6x5' - 2' recovery)
* Cool down
We run together during Warm-up, and cool down and tey to regroup during recovery time. Paces are not imposed (everyone runs at his/her own pace) given the intensity suggested.
Notes:
It's NOT required to have an activity tracker or smart watch to be able to follow the session, as I'll be giving signals with a whistle.
Intervals training is not advised for total beginners. To have an idea, the average pace at the warm up is around 5'45"/km-6'15"/km so this pace should feel very comfortable

Debate Night: Crime and Free Will
Can crime be predicted by algorithms? And if so, should we use them to prevent crimes from happening?
This question has fueled many dystopian works of fiction, such as **Minority Report**, which imagines a technology capable of predicting crimes in precise detail and raises fundamental questions about free will and individual responsibility. **Person of Interest** explores a more realistic scenario, where machine learning and mass surveillance are used to identify high-risk individuals through the monitoring of communications. Many episodes of **Black Mirror** similarly examine the consequences of predictive technologies and their impact on privacy, liberty, and social control.
A common theme emerges from these stories: such technologies are often portrayed not as tools of public safety, but as threats to freedom and democracy.
Yet the idea is not purely fictional. While no system today can predict crimes with the certainty depicted in science fiction, predictive algorithms are already being used in various aspects of law enforcement and criminal justice. **COMPAS**, for example, has been used in American courts to estimate the likelihood that a defendant will reoffend. **Geolitica**, formerly known as **PredPol**, uses historical crime data to forecast crime hotspots and guide police deployment. More broadly, advances in artificial intelligence, big data, and digital surveillance continue to expand our ability to identify patterns in human behavior. Some even point to the Chinese **Social Credit System** as an example of how large-scale data collection can be used to monitor and influence citizens.
Now that the technological capabilities have already been laid out, should we, as a society, pursue the endeavor of developing a predictive algorithm that would allow us to prevent crime? Or is there a moral imperative that prevents us from doing so?
Join us as we debate whether predictive crime technology represents the future of public safety or the first step toward a surveillance dystopia.
This debate will follow a British Parliamentary format with eight debaters split into **four teams of two.**
Participants who wish to speak are highly encouraged to bring a paper and pen. You are welcome to participate even if you have no prior debating experience.
We aim for debates that are respectful, constructive, and welcoming:
* **Respect ideas and people** Listen actively, stay quiet while others speak, and debate arguments, not identities or beliefs.
* **Be concise and civil** Keep questions short and relevant; avoid hostility, hate speech, or discrimination.
* **Respect boundaries and time** No unwanted advances or suggestive behavior; arrive on time to avoid disrupting the debate.
* **Follow moderators** They guide the discussion and ensure fairness.

Deep Conversation - Question Chosen in Session
How do we connect to people? What is so great about being different? Is love selfless? Should we be dreamers or realists? What values are we losing? When are we at our best? Does childhood ever end? Is morality a matter of convenience? What makes a person beautiful?
Such questions, and many more, await you Sunday at Sister's Cafe (second floor) . After introductions we will collect questions from the group participants, choose one by voting then discuss it for an hour. Then most of us stay for drinks and bizarre conversations :-).

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Finding Product Insights
**The Behavior Gap: Where Products Win or Lose**
Teams today have more data than ever, and yet many still struggle to understand why customers adopt, engage with, or abandon their products. Teams sprint, ship faster, and chase more signals… all while metrics stall and confidence drops. The missing piece isn’t more data. It’s often the behavioral insight between the metrics, explaining why the numbers move in the first place. Dashboards can tell you what customers did, but understanding why they did it (and how to influence what they do next) requires a deeper blend of insights. This session is about closing that gap.
Drawing from real-world experience designing and scaling products as [ZoCo Design](https://zocodesign.com/)’s CEO, [Lacey](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) will share how to cut through the noise and identify the insights that actually change behavior—moving people, and moving metrics. You’ll learn:
* Why understanding customer behavior is a quant and qual challenge
* How to spot the signals that actually predict behavior change
* Where AI accelerates insight, and where it creates distraction
* How to get meaningfully closer to customers, without adding more tools
This talk reframes how to evaluate performance and identify what levers actually improve it, helping your team to make smarter bets with greater confidence. Every meaningful outcome is driven by behavior change. And when you know how to design for behavior, you stop guessing, and start building things that work.
**About Our Speaker**
[Lacey Picazo](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) is the Founder and CEO of ZoCo, a healthcare product studio that turns complex, high-stakes ideas into products that drive real-world adoption. She partners with healthcare organizations to uncover critical care delivery insights, focus product strategy through behavior design, and build solutions that patients and providers actually use.

Doors open at 6:00 PM.
Presentation/livestream starts at 6:30 PM
**Description:**
AI split AppSec into two attack surfaces: your code, and the code factory that produces it—coding agents, the models and MCP tools they call, the developer environment itself. With exploits now landing in under ten hours and vulnerabilities shipping from more authors than ever, this talk lays out a staged path to a "Mythos-ready" program—reprioritizing around reachable risk, accelerating remediation, and securing the AI-SDLC—and argues security should stop filing tickets and start shipping fixes.

Battle of the personal agents
Join the Columbus AI community for a special event.
**Battle of the Personal Agents** is your chance to see what people are actually building with AI agents and personal automation systems. Whether you’re running OpenClaw, Hermes, or a completely custom solution, bring your agent and show the community how it works.
We’re interested in real-world implementations: the problems your agent solves, how you use it day-to-day, how it’s hosted and managed, how you built it, and why you’ve chosen to keep using it. Live demonstrations are encouraged, so be prepared to show your code, architecture, workflows, and your agent performing real tasks.
This is less about polished presentations and more about sharing practical experience, comparing approaches, and learning from one another. If you’d like to present, please contact Chris Slee (via meetup) before the event so we can allocate enough time for everyone’s demonstrations.
Come ready to show what you’ve built, discover what others are doing, and maybe find a few ideas worth taking home.
Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus.
