Centro Cultural Capoeira Água de Beber (CECAB) – Capoeira Água de Beber Cultural Centre – is a non-profit organization, founded officially in January 2002. Its pivot activity is Capoeira (classes, rodas, workshops, public presentations, cultural events, performances), however it aggregates other cultural manifestations as: samba de roda, maculelê, frevo, ciranda, dança do coco, dança afro, puxada de rede, craftworks workshops of making and playing music instruments, video projections, movies, lectures about relevant cultural topics and matters related to enforcement of citizenship. All the activities realized through CECAB are designated to execution of social responsibility projects, further on the sportive, cultural and artistic activities through the realization of the shows, presentations and events related to Capoeira and Brazilian culture.

We are in the middle of a trilogy of topics that form a story. Our current series is around the theme of human flourishing. Last month we discussed beauty. This month we will look at how the role ‘home’ plays in our well-being. Then in June we will ask what roles do nature and nurture play in our lives? **What about a sense of ‘belonging’?** “Ah, it’s good to be home,” we say after a time of travel or business. We move to a new city or country and feel a disorientation or rootlessness. We lack a familiarity sense of place and relationships. The modern world is not a village where you know your grocer by their first name. Some may call it ‘home.’ But what is home: A building? A geographical location? A feeling in the heart and soul? A place populated by people we love or are perhaps related to? How about those who live in a country other than their country of origin: what might they think about the whole matter of home? Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context. We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy.
