# 🧙‍♂️ A wizards introduction to Semantic Link 📅 **Date:** February 5 ⏰ **Time:** 19:00 CET 🌍 **Format:** Online only 📌 **Language:** English ## 🔍 **Event Description** Managing a Power BI environment can be frustrating. Our database changes a name of a column, where is that used in our reports? Do I need to open them all? Who do I contact? We know that bi-directional filtering is best not-done, but how do we know it is used? Can we find that? Using Semantic link, a free python library we can use in Fabric Notebooks, even someone with little to no Python experience can save a lot of time finding answers to these questions. Come and see how semantic link can help you out like it did for me. The Yellow wizard will take you along on a managing tour of the Power BI environment of Middle Earth. ## 👥 **Who Should Join?** * Power BI admins and platform owners * BI developers and analytics engineers * Data engineers working with Fabric & semantic models * Anyone responsible for governance and impact analysis in Power BI * Curious minds — Python knowledge is not required ## ✨ **What to Expect** * Real-world Power BI management challenges * Practical insights into Semantic Link * Fabric Notebook–based examples * Governance, impact analysis & model transparency * A story-driven session with Middle-Earth vibes ## 📍 **Event format** * Online only: The session will take place exclusively via Microsoft Teams. The access link will be shared after registration. ## 🎒 **What You Need** * Interest in Power BI & Fabric * Laptop if attending onsite * A Microsoft account (recommended) ## 🙌 **Join Us** Join us for an insightful and entertaining session and discover how **Semantic Link** can simplify Power BI management — guided by the Yellow Wizard through Middle Earth.

Climate change is a big issue: you can ignore it, downplay it, hate it, or try to understand it in order to tacke it Whether you are a casual reader or a real bookworm, come and join our book club where we will read a whole book together by sharing it (a collective reading method known as ‘arpentage’ in French). We will explain everything when you arrive! After having read "Braiding Sweetgrass" from Robin Wall Kimerer and "Not the end of the World "from Hannah Ritchie las year we propose you three new books. We will chose one one among these 3 books : Dark Laboratory by Toa Leigh Goffe : In Dark Laboratory, her groundbreaking new book, Goffe argues that it was the colonisation of the America by Christopher Columbus that set off the chain of events that has led us to where we stand today, on the precipice of global catastrophe. How to Blow Up a Pipeline: Learning to Fight in a World on Fire by Andreas Malm The science on climate change has been clear for a very long time now. Yet despite decades of appeals, mass street protests, petition campaigns, and peaceful demonstrations, we are still facing a booming fossil fuel industry, rising seas, rising emission levels, and a rising temperature. With the stakes so high, why haven't we moved beyond peaceful protest? Climate Justice : What rich nation owe to the world and the future by Cass R Sunstein If you're injuring someone, you should stop—and pay for the damage you've caused. Why, this book asks, does this simple proposition, generally accepted, not apply to climate change? In Climate Justice, a bracing challenge to status-quo thinking on the ethics of climate change, renowned author and legal scholar Cass Sunstein clearly frames what’s at stake and lays out the moral imperative: Interested ? Dale Gnidovec, Curator of the Orton Hall Museum of Geology at The Ohio State University, will be presenting a program he has wanted to share with us for a long time: Plate Tectonics. His description of his program: Continents on the move - Nothing in Earth history makes sense without moving continents - it tells us why mountains, volcanoes, minerals, and fossils are where they are. This talk examines the evidence for continental drift, why it was disbelieved, and explains how the more-encompassing theory of plate tectonics was developed and eventually proven. Dale is an energetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and very entertaining speaker and this will be another wonderful program by Dale. Hope to see you there! Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid.
