Exploring mindful movement with Alexander Technique
“Curious about posture? We’ll explore ease of movement and body awareness through the **Alexander Technique**—no experience needed and in a small group. This is a regular Monday class.
We learn to cultivate awareness of our body's responses to thoughts and also to activity/ simple movements. This class provides practical tools for overall well-being by improving personal posture, coordination and a sense of inner rest.
If the A. T. is not new to you, or you already practice other somatic work then you're welcome to deepen or refresh your experience with it, find new aspects that will seamlessly integrate it into your daily life. Come explore the transformative power of mindful movement with us.

**Who can participate:** This experience is open to any woman over the age of 16 who is interested in exploring her own creativity and wants to immerse herself in the world of visual arts, art therapy, collage, meditation, mental health and self-knowledge.
**Materials included.**

**What to expect:** This experience, in addition to presenting the possibilities of the analogue collage technique, also disseminates an empirical method of creation, valuing the process of image construction, through the senses and self-knowledge. The dynamics of the Sensitive Collage project consist of creative exercises that induce the emergence of symbolic images, enabling psychic organisation through materialisation and opening up possibilities for these contents to be integrated into consciousness.
**Objectives of the experience:**
· To expand creative vision and intuition;
· Cultivate presence;
· To inspire creativity;
· Practice mindfulness;
· Promote mental health;
· Materialise different feelings in a subjective way through collage.
**Project creator:** Vanessa Neuber is a Brazilian visual artist, educator, illustrator and poet based in Berlin. She holds a degree in Design and a postgraduate qualification in Art History and Analytical Psychology, with a focus on Mythology, Tales and the Arts. In addition, Vanessa has deepened her knowledge of art therapy through the courses “Healing With The Arts” (University of Florida) and SoulCollage®, a method created by Seena B. Frost. Collage and poetry have always been fundamental pillars of her creative journey, serving as powerful tools for inspiration, and meditation enhances this creative process. Her projects have been presented at various exhibitions, fairs, workshops and courses across Latin America and Europe.

Welcome to Thought Experiments in Pubs - Berlin edition, where you get to have deep conversations with people you've never met.
The topic will be Hope. I'll post some questions that will guide us through the topic as a comment on the day.

**The idea:**

**How will it work?**
We will have a set of 'Thought Experiments', short, philosophical scenarios and questions, which will be discussed in groups. The conversation will flow freely, there are no strict rules, simply share and discuss your perspectives on the given topic. The thought experiments will be posted here ahead of the event.
**Who should come?**
Everyone! We believe that the more perspectives, the richer the conversation. This group is not about being experts in philosophy, it is about *doing* philosophy. That is, bringing our various life experiences and lenses on the world to group discussions about the human experience, the nature of reality... etc.
**Do I need to bring anything?**
No! Just an open, inquisitive mind.
We will do 3 rounds of discussions. After the event, I would love to hear your feedback on the session.
The thought experiments we will discuss are around the theme of the day. Prompts will be posted here on the day of the event.

Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few.
How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again.
