## DNA. presents: "CREATIVE WRITING" In this workshop, You will learn a method that can help You to strengthen Your access to Your creativity, write more, write better and get back into a flow state in which new ideas emerge. ‍ ##### HOURGLASS METHOD Lena will guide You through the three phases of her hourglass method, which consist of different writing exercises, and explain the background to them. In addition to stories and essays, she writes and performs rap songs and has recently started working as a freelance writer. She has also completed certified training in storytelling and author consulting. In her Hourglass Method, Lena combines knowledge from her education and interest in creative processes in the brain with ideas based on her own experience as an artist. ## ✍️ Week 2 – Creative Writing Session *This event is part of The Creative Act Circle series.* In a calm, focused atmosphere, we gather to write. The location will be announced soon — most likely we will meet in a library, creating a quiet and inspiring environment for reflection. You’re welcome to write about anything that feels alive for you — a personal theme, an open question, a piece for your blog, or something that has been waiting to be expressed. If you prefer structure, I will offer guided prompts to help you move gently from reflection into language. Through writing and shared reflection, you may gain: • Mental clarity • Integration of recent insights • A sense of inner completion We don’t aim for conclusions. We aim for awareness.

Drunk driving is not cool, but drunk writing is! This is a community event for writers, with drinks! Work on your own projects or use the creative writing prompts provided. **🎬 Screenwriters' Meetup Invitation 🎬** This meetup is for anyone passionate about storytelling—whether you’re a screenwriter, filmmaker, producer, or someone with a great idea looking for the right collaborators. Whether you’re just starting out or deep into your screenplay, this is the perfect space to create, collaborate, and refine your work. In this session, we explore the question **“What is real?”** in the context of **artificial intelligence and humanity**. The session is structured in three parts. During the first 30 minutes, we will explore the theme together and gather as many perspectives, experiences, observations, and ideas as possible. The next 30 minutes we will write a short story based on the question *“What is real?”*, using artificial intelligence and humanity as our creative framework. If you have the time beforehand, take a moment to reflect on the theme. What is your personal relationship to artificial intelligence and the question of what is real? How does it feel? What experiences—your own or those of people around you—come to mind? You don’t need to prepare anything in writing. Just come with a clear point of view and a few thoughts you’ve already considered. In the last hour we will share our stories and explore them together in depth.

The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
