On the International Day of Poetry, we’re meeting in the Rosengarten at Bürgerpark Pankow to write and share poetry together — in a simple, grounded way.
No stage.
No microphone.
No pressure.

We’ll sit on the benches, take time to write, and then gather in a standing circle to share — if we’d like to.
I’ll guide us through a few short writing prompts and we’ll do 2–3 rounds, depending on the group’s energy.
The focus is on presence, listening, and creative expression — not perfection.

Equinox Queer Walk: A Conscious Walk in Nature 🌿
This walk is designed for LGBTQ+ people and allies who want to go deeper. No substances, no pressure, no performance. Just movement, fresh air, and powerful questions to sit with as you walk.
The first hour takes us through the trees, following the path. The second hour brings us back to where we started, making a full circle.
Somewhere in between, something usually shifts.
Reflection questions are shared at the beginning. We walk in pairs and answer these questions to each other. There's no right answer. You don't have to share anything if you don't want to.
**This is for you if**: You're tired of socializing that stays on the surface. You want to be around queer people in a way that feels grounded. You're curious about your own inner world. You want community without the substances.
**What to bring**: Comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate layers, and your presence.
Depending on the group’s needs, we might grab something to eat/drink after the walk at a nearby location.

Die Herangehensweise im Schweigen ermöglicht es, Muster, Spannungen und unbewusste Hindernisse zu erkennen und den nächsten heilsamen Schritt auf dem eigenen Weg zu gehen.

**Selfcare Sunday:** Learn about the fascinating fascia network in your body and experience deep relief and relaxation in a 90-minute guided self-massage.
Using slow, gentle self-massage techniques with balls, we specifically target and release tight tissue in neck, shoulders and back and restore mobility. As tension releases on a physical level, many people notice that stress drops away too - the body feels lighter and the mind becomes quieter. Success is one of the most commonly used and least clearly defined ideas in modern life. People are encouraged to pursue success in education, careers, relationships, creativity, and personal development. Join us as we explore the ancient landscape of Biesenthaler Becken, a region well-known for its rich biodiversity and breathtaking scenery. Take a break from the humdrum of city life and immerse yourself into the serenity of sprawling forests, meadows with wildflowers, and the company of little forest animals and migratory birds.
The trail starts from the former agricultural town of Biesenthal where you will meander through beautiful open fields with views of the Streesee lake before stopping for a picnic lunch break. Then, you will continue on towards the Biesenthaler basin to explore its glacial landscape dating back to the Ice Age. Enjoy a photo stop at the stunning Lake Hellsee and finally, toast to a great hike at a beer garden on the banks of the Obersee Lake.

COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process.
Fast track
• Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell).
• Show up and try it out.
• Complete application, etc. later.
Normal process
• Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/).
• Attend orientation in advance.
• At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility.
• Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM.
• Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895).
The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014.
Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
