KMLF - Speed v Substance: Preserving Knowledge Integrity in the AI Hype Cycle
This month we have our own Sarah Jacobson sharing on **Speed v Substance: Preserving Knowledge Integrity in the AI Hype Cycle**
AI has done something remarkable for knowledge management. It has put us on the executive radar in a way we have never been before. Budgets are being discussed, senior leaders are paying attention and KM is finally being recognised as fundamental to how organisations operate.
But that visibility has come with a catch. The same technology driving the attention has created an expectation of immediacy that sits uncomfortably with what good knowledge management actually requires. People expect answers in seconds because that is what AI promises. Building robust foundations, curating quality content and establishing governance frameworks takes longer than a demo.
This session explores the paradox KM leaders are sitting inside right now and what it means in practice. We will look at where the speed/substance tension is most acute, what happens when AI is deployed on top of poorly managed knowledge and why the organisations getting this right are treating knowledge as infrastructure rather than content.
This is an interactive session. Come prepared to share where you are seeing this tension play out in your own organisation and what you have tried. Expect polling, group discussion and a few deliberate provocations.
Thanks again to MinterEllison, who host the amazing space we meet in each month.

Symphony of Cells (SOC) Essential Oil Experience
Essential oils support the body in its healing work.
Symphony of Cells (SOC) is a collection of 21 essential oil applications that target a different body system. Applying the oils to the back and the feet is selected because of the large number of nerve endings along the spine and on the bottom of the feet. Nourishing the nerve endings helps to feed all the organs and glands of the body.
Essential oils are natural plant oils obtained from different parts of the plant and easily recognized and used by the body to help achieve balance and assist in cleansing of foreign substances.
SOC was created by Boyd Truman, a DoTERRA Wellness advocate, to create physical, emotional and spiritual journey within the body.
Receive a SOC Essential Oil Healing Experience Session.
Please Note: The SOC Essential Oil Experience Session is by appointment only. Message by 8pm the day prior to the event to reserve a time slot.
To schedule your session please contact Joyce at (703) 395-5151.
Open Bar & Seminar (Free but RSVP required)
After hosting successful events, I always think that we could have done better and relate it to our day to day life and make it educational. In this connection, I wanted to show off my investment and trade hat and organize series of Happy Hours around Investment & Trade.
We will have speakers from different sectors and industries, at each Happy Hour. At this particular event, the speakers will discuss Retirement Saving (With An Overview of Interest Rate & Housing Market).
Topics will include:
• Today’s retirement savings challenges and approaches
• Sources of income in retirement
• Proper investment strategies
• Current interest rate environment and what to expect going forward
• State of the housing market
The address will be sent to members, who RSVPed, before the Event.
Enjoy!
