We have joined forces with the Statistical Society of Australia to broadcast their "Di Cook Award Seminar". **When:** Wednesday 8th of April, 6:30-8:15pm **Where:** 750 Collins St, Room 853, Level 8 (Studio Room) **What:** Free food & drinks while watching the Di Cook Award Seminar! The [Statistical Computing and Visualisation](https://www.statsoc.org.au/Statistical-Computing-and-Visualisation-Section) section of the Statistical Society of Australia proudly presents the Di Cook Award webinar, promoting open-source statistical software development. This event will showcase outstanding work submitted to the [2025 Di Cook Award](https://statsocaus.github.io/dicook-award/). The award winner will present their winning project in a 30-minute talk, highlighting the motivation, methods, and key insights behind their work. Two highly commended applicants will also share their submissions, each delivering a 15-minute presentation that outlines the ideas, approaches, and contributions of their projects. Together, these talks will provide an engaging overview of innovative software development represented in this year’s award submissions, offering attendees the opportunity to learn from and discuss exemplary work in the field. Players of all skill levels are welcome to join us at Marché Board Games Cafe in the CBD for a casual night of mahjong - Right in the CBD. We'll start around 6:00pm till we all need to go home :) Our typical session concludes usually around 10:00pm. We invite you to join us for face-face English lessons at Upper Intermediate level each Monday and Wednesday evening, starting Wed 8th April. **Where:** Level 7, 628 Bourke Street, Melbourne CBD **Time:** 5:15pm - 7:30pm. We are training English teachers and they work hard to prepare lessons for you. You will meet other speakers of other languages and engage in activities, and lots of practice speaking English.

This class is designed for ladies who are perhaps new to dance or have not danced for a while and would love to experience the joy of movement again. Our dance steps are simple to follow, and are designed to get you moving, we work on your balance and core strength. Strength training is incorporated into every class. Hi Everyone, This Sunday's Walk will be the popular **Bay Trail** from **Beaumaris to Mentone Beach.** We'll meet at the outside the **Ricketts Point Tea House** on the beachfront at Beaumaris and walk as a group to Mentone Beach and return. **When**: **Sunday 12th April 2026** at 9:00am **Parking**: Paid parking in the council beachfront carpark. Alternatively, park in Reserve Road and walk a short distance. Parking here is free. **Distance:** Total walking time approximately 2 hours and it’ll be just under 7 kilometers. **Coffee**: Ricketts Point Tea House on our return.
