A month into spring already, summer may be just around the corner, and for those that have the Dublin Marathon on their dance card later this year, thoughts must be switching to the Training Plans. For the rest of us, not that we don't welcome marathon buds, we still want to enjoy a leisurely run with friends on a wednesday evening, followed by a few beers and chat with fellow travellers. This week, whether you are a future marathoner, or simply want a little bit of exercise, (we only run around 4kM,) and to meet new friends, we will be running to **Murphy's Pub in Rathmines.** so come along and enjoy the craic For newcomers, our Group Runs are great fun, safe for all, and once the run is complete, we can share a beer, have a good chat, make new friends, and look forward to the following week. The newest addition to Dublin Go club’s meet-ups! Board used to be an alcohol free board game cafe. Now it specialises in low and no alcohol drinks, and serves some food too! It’s also a good venue for some of our younger members to attend! There are plenty of board games to try there, but come along on Wednesday evenings to learn and play the great board game Go! All levels welcome, as players will always find someone happy to teach new players or provide a challenge to experienced players!

This event is for anyone seeking a social run with like minded people. It will consist of 2 loops. the first loop will be run at 6 20 - 6 30 per km pace and will be about 7 km in length. We will then join with the main Dublin Runners group at 9:00 am back at the Visitors Centre (VC), where a variety of pace options will be available. This second loop will be approximately 10 km to 12 km. So you can choose to join at 8 15 am or 9 00 am. Please arrive 5 mins early as we are firm about start times. We usually finish with tea and cake in the cafe in the VC. If your pace is lower than 6 30 per km for about 8 km this run may not be for you. Some people are using this to prepare for the Dublin half marathon on the May bank holiday weekend. if you have any questions contact Harry.
