Happy New Year, all Independent Movie Lovers You are invited meet at 7 pm, on Friday the 9th of January 2026. This meeting is at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square, Dublin. We will discuss the film: **Sentimental Value** (2025), directed by Joachim Trier. Joachim Trier is a Norwegian director, who directed the acclaimed Oslo trilogy which includes the movies Reprise and Oslo. We will also discuss: **Knives Out** (2019), directed by Rian Johnson, an American director and producer perhaps best known for directing 'Star Wars: the Last Jedi'. This is the first of the 'Knives Out' movies, not to be confused with the two sequels. We will watch the movies independently, and meet for discussion on Friday the 9th of January 2026, at 7 pm, at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square. **Sentimental Value** is showing at several Dublin cinemas, including the Light House cinema and the IFI Eustace Street, until Thursday the 8th of January. **Knives Out** is available for online rental on YouTube, Apple TV, and Sky Store.
