Kommt am 2. Montagabend im Monat ins Offene Wohnzimmer zum Open Draw! Raucht Euch auch manchmal der Kopf von zu viel PC-Arbeit? Der Asphalt der Stadt ist heute wieder viel zu grau? Ihr würdet am liebsten mal wieder wild auf einem Blatt Papier rumklecksen oder gedankenverlorene Linien zeichnen? Höchste Zeit zur Tat zu schreiten! Wir wollen in entspannter Atmosphäre die kreativen Zellen auf Volldampf fahren und uns der Inspiration überlassen. Mit Musik im Hintergrund sowie Wein, Tee und Snacks im Repertoire wird dann gekleckst, gemalt, gezeichnet, geklebt, geredet und gelacht. Das Ganze kann sehr ambitioniert stattfinden, aber genauso zum Hirn-abschalten dienen. Austausch, Bilderswapping und gegenseitige Tipps/Kritik sind sehr willkommen. Material stellen wir (Kreide, Bleistift, Wasserfarbe, Acrylfarbe, Pastellstifte, Kohle, Papierbögen, Spiegel, Postkarten, Zeichenbücher, Illustrierte). The school was founded in the middle of the 15th century by Iizasa Chōisai Ienao at the Katori Shrine (Katori jingū) and has become the origin of numerous other martial arts schools over the course of its almost 600-year history. The training consists of the continuous repetition of fixed sequences of movements (kata) and includes the use of classic Japanese weapons such as the sword (iai-jutsu, battō-jutsu, ken-jutsu, ryōtō-jutsu, kodachi-jutsu), the long staff (bō-jutsu), the lance (naginata-jutsu) and the spear (sō-jutsu), as well as unarmed disciplines, tactics and spiritual aspects. **The Katori Berlin dojo** is the only official shibu of Otake Nobutoshi-shihan’s dojo Shinbukan in Germany and fully dedicated to the transmission and study of one martial tradition: Tenshinshō-den Katori Shintō-ryū. Through these efforts we aim to contribute to the cultural preservation of this martial tradition. The dojo has one officially appointed shidosha. **Our sensei**: Sebastian Graetz has been active in martial arts since 1997. After almost 15 years of taekwondo in Berlin, he started with Katori Shintō-ryū in Asia in 2014. Since then, he has studied in Japan with Ōtake Risuke-shihan and Ōtake Nobutoshi-shihan, and in Vietnam with Malte Stokhof-shihandai. In 2023, he received his Menkyo license and permission to set up a training group in Berlin the following year.

Please join us the 3rd Wednesday of each month to learn more about the Columbus Ski Club and what we have to offer. Pizza, wings and a variety of appetizers provided. We are a non-profit organization founded in 1958 with over 800 members. The club has grown beyond the single mission of providing members with not only quality skiing events but also year round social and sport activities. Our gatherings are an opportunity for members and non-members to interact and learn about the many activities offered such as euchre, billiards, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, bowling, golf & softball leagues along with ski and non-ski trips. Our members also plan group activities such as visits to wine tastings, bike trips, comedy clubs, concerts, plays and local sports games, etc. CSC membership is not required to belong to the Meetup group. Membership is required in order to participate in most club activities (CSC member). However, anyone (21 and over) is welcome at our meeting gatherings which consist of checking out our current activities and socializing.
