🌍 One World Korean Club 🇰🇷
Learn Korean, Meet New Friends & Share Cultures
🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
# 🇰🇷☕ Korean Starter Club – Apprendre le coréen autrement
Bonjour à tous ! 😊
---

# 🇰🇷☕ Korean Starter Club – Learn Korean Differently
Hello everyone! 😊
My name is Sohyeon, and I currently live in France.
I've been teaching Korean since the Covid period, and like many of you, I love learning languages.
I currently speak and study:
🇫🇷 French
🇬🇧 English
🇷🇺 Russian
🇨🇳 Chinese
🇯🇵 Japanese
While learning and teaching languages, I've often asked myself several questions:
🤔 What if someone wants to learn a new language but doesn't have much time?
🤔 How can children or people who struggle with reading learn a language effectively?
🤔 How can we create an environment where people can actually speak the language they are learning?
🤔 How can learners gain confidence while learning a language?
🤔 Is it possible to teach entirely in the target language while making sure students understand everything?
---
✨ These questions inspired me to create my own learning program.
A program different from what you usually find in traditional textbooks.
The goal is simple:
🇰🇷 Learn Korean by using Korean from day one.
💬 Understand naturally through context, visuals, gestures, and interaction.
🤝 Build a community where everyone can learn and grow together.
---
# 🌱 Korean Starter Club
This meetup is an introductory program designed for complete beginners and for people who want to regain confidence when speaking Korean.
The goal is to discover a new way of learning Korean, practice together, and meet others who share the same interest in Korean language and culture.
📢 Opportunities to continue learning after this program will be presented during the meetups.
---
# ☕ Tea Time After Class
After class, we'll spend some time together over tea or coffee.
🍵 Practice Korean
💬 Chat freely
🤝 Get to know each other
🌍 Meet people with similar interests
---
# 🎯 This meetup is for you if...
✅ You know absolutely no Korean
✅ You've studied Korean before but need more speaking practice
✅ You'd rather learn with others than study alone
✅ You are a Korean child or young adult born and raised in France
✅ You don't have enough time for traditional language courses and lots of homework
✅ You need motivation to keep learning
✅ You know some grammar but hesitate when it's time to speak
✅ You'd like to gradually understand Korean dramas, variety shows, and videos
✅ You're planning a trip to Korea
✅ You'd like to communicate more naturally with a Korean friend, partner, or family member
✅ You prefer learning through real language use rather than memorizing grammar rules
✅ You've given up learning a language before because you were studying alone
✅ You'd like to make new friends
✅ You're looking for a new hobby or activity
✅ You enjoy discovering different cultures and meeting people from around the world

WIN AI — meet-up #4 | AI community for women in Luxembourg
**Meet-up #4 is hands-on.**
Instead of watching a demo from the outside, we're going to build something together. We'll be working with Claude Skills, a feature inside Claude that lets you teach Claude how to do things your way, once, and have it remember. Think of it as automating a small part of how you work, without any coding.
I'll show you an example of a skill I built. Then we build one together, from scratch, in the room.
The learning curve is genuinely small. And if you've never touched this before, that's exactly the point, this meet-up is for you. If you already use Claude Skills regularly, come anyway. There's something different about working through it with other women who are figuring out the same things.
What you need to bring: your laptop, and a Claude account (free works perfectly).
Then we'll open it up, as always. What are you automating? What's not working? What do you wish Claude could just... know about you already?
Friday\, June 12 \| 7:00 PM House of Startups\, Luxembourg

This is a relaxed and informal group conversation where we can share experiences, reflect together and gain new perspectives.
You don't need to have everything figured out.
You don't need to be in crisis.
You just need to be curious about your next step.
What to expect:
• A friendly and supportive atmosphere.
• Honest conversations.
• Practical reflections and fresh perspectives.
• No judgement and no pressure to share.

I look forward to meeting you!

Back to basics: Presence, Breath and Walking Meditation
In a world that constantly pulls our attention outward, this gathering is an invitation to come back to yourself.
No complicated techniques. No pressure to perform. No expectation to share.
Just simple practices that help us reconnect with what is already here: our breath, our body, our awareness, and the present moment.
Together, we will spend about an hour exploring a few basic mindfulness and nervous system regulation practices, including:
• Gentle grounding and awareness exercises
• Conscious breathing and slower exhalation
• Walking meditation in the park
• Simple body awareness and presence practices
• Space to slow down and reconnect with yourself
Depending on the weather, the session may include a combination of sitting meditation and walking meditation, or mostly walking meditation.
The intention is not to achieve anything. It is simply an opportunity to pause, breathe, and experience being fully present in your own body.
Schedule
10:45 – Meet at Glacis Square (between the Théâtre tram stop and the public toilets)
11:00 – Mindfulness practice in the park
Approximately 12:00 – Optional coffee, brunch, or relaxed conversation for anyone who would like to stay
The practice itself will last around one hour. The social time afterwards is completely optional.
Practical Information
• Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for the weather
• The event will take place even if the weather is not perfect
• I will bring something to sit on, but feel free to bring your own cushion, mat, or blanket if you prefer
This gathering is part of Feel & Grow Club Luxembourg and is open to anyone curious about slowing down, grounding themselves, and practicing presence in a simple and accessible way.
Nothing special to achieve. Nothing to fix.
Just a chance to be here, together.

Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code - Alan Barber
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
*Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code*
Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs.
In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling.
The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options.
