Every week is a badminton academy for improver/intermediate/advanced standard. I also run nine teams that play in leagues out of the academy. Unfortunately this class does not cater for beginners! Wanting people who wish to enjoy and improve with games and advice with a coach who has played county and national level badminton, and has also played for England. From a technical drawing and a length of timber to the final sanding of the completed box, expert furniture maker and tutor, Marcin Waszak will guide each learner through all the steps needed to create this hardwood treasure box. The box measures 330mm by 304mm by 180mm and can be used to store lots of special things. The course begins by explaining how to stay safe while using our professional and powerful woodworking machines. Marcin will talk you through the materials and tools you will be using and let you practice before beginning the project. We have created a cutting list so that each person can learn how to process the wood and begin making very quickly. If you hanker to use some big machines and learn how to use jigs and to work accurately from plans, this is a great course for you. **Steps to making your own Treasure Box:** 1. Student introductions, inspirations and knowledge. 2. Introduction to the project. 3. Health and Safety. 4. Understanding the materials and tools we will be using in this course (wood technology, proper usage of the tools, jigs). 5. Practice on how to use the tools and jigs in the workshop. 6. There will be a great focus on how to use tools and machinery in the correct way for best results. We will be starting from technical drawing explanation and introduction to the material and the design itself. I will love to know people’s backgrounds before we start the session so everyone will feel more comfortable and confident to work as a team. Hi Everyone, We are continuing with our in person meetings in London, as they are working well. The Achalasia Action monthly Meetups were originally all held in London and enabled anyone with achalasia to meet and learn from others how to manage the condition. Since COVID we have been meeting online so that anyone with achalasia can join in with the discussions, wherever they live. It is really helpful to hear about the experiences of others and learn lots of helpful tips as well as sharing a common bond. Every meeting is different as they all depend on the mix of people attending, so you can learn something new every time! We are keeping the numbers small at first while we gauge the number of people interested and the venues for the meetings. 2026 may be the last year many developers write code by hand. We need coding agents to solve complex problems in production codebases, but vibe coding alone won’t get us there. Vibe coding is all gas, no brakes. It burns up the context window until the agent slips on its own slop. You can go fast at first, but the more you stuff into the context window, the more tangled its outputs get. While the industry is rapidly increasing code generation speed, we still have to understand, review, merge, and maintain what gets shipped. This talk featuring Michael Geiger will outline how coding agents (Claude Code + Gas Town) work and a framework for orchestrating them to solve complicated problems in complex codebases. It’s about steering the model: doing the research to align intent, planning the approach up front, implementing in parallel steps, and breaking early. Human judgment still matters, but it should be spent on high-leverage decisions: what to build, what to forbid, and “what is quality?”, not cleaning up slop. Attendees will leave with a checklist to identify workflow and environment gaps that hold agents back, so you and your team can ship higher-quality software starting tomorrow.
