Filmmakers & Movie Nerds Meetup #172
Filmmakers & Movie Nerds Meetup #172
Curious what we do? Check our [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/filmmakersandmovienerds/) ♥️ Would you like to meet some like-minded filmmakers? Start a project? Or do you need help with a movie you are currently working on? Are you new in the city and you'd like to meet people tinkering with movies? **Then you should join us!** We meet every Sunday. It’s important to us that we get to know each other in person. To create a community of connected people, work, learn and grow together. For film making you need a crew of reliable people with a positive can-do-attitude. This is the place to find them. Together, we will talk about these topics: * What you are currently working on * What you need help with * What would you like to help with * What you you would like to learn This is event is great for: * filmmakers * movie nerds * writers * camera operators * editors * actors * sound recorders * composers * gaffers * producers We are limiting the amount of people, so we can have a structured introduction and discussion. After that we get together loosely with some drinks and chats. And then we mostly go for dinner with a couple of us. **Important information**: *To sustain and grow this amazing community, we started a member contribution that is due every month. The money we collect is used solely for the purpose of the community. Of course you can come once or twice without contributing to check us out!*
The Quiet Hour - Women's Circle
The Quiet Hour - Women's Circle
**The Quiet Hour** is a two-and-a-half-hour guided journey for women — a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience the power of shared presence. When we speak about healing in this space, it is not limited to one dimension. It can touch the emotional, mental, and physical layers of our experience. The intention is to create a moment where the body can soften, the mind can quiet, and we can reconnect with a deeper sense of clarity and alignment within ourselves. During the evening, we guide you through meditation, visualization, sound, and gentle energy work. The vibrations of sound help the body release tension, while the guided visualization invites you to reconnect with the life you wish to create and the deeper intentions that live within you. Together, we also explore the power of identity — the understanding that the way we see ourselves shapes the life we experience. When we reconnect with our inner strength and authenticity, we begin to move from emotional chaos toward a more grounded and stable foundation within ourselves. At **SheWhoRests**, we believe that every woman carries immense strength within her. Yet even the strongest among us needs connection — someone who believes in our dreams, understands our struggles, and holds space for our journey. That is why community and connection are an important part of this gathering. Through gentle sharing and simple exercises, we create moments where women can feel supported by one another and remember that we are not walking this journey alone. The intention of The Quiet Hour is simple: to offer a space where you can pause, reconnect with yourself, and leave feeling more grounded, more understood, and more supported in your journey.
Productive Sunday Morning - Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all work welcome)
Productive Sunday Morning - Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all work welcome)
Hey everyone! I’m organising a co-working + socialising session for all of us who like to work on something (e.g. our own project, freelance or remote work) but don't feel like sitting alone at home. 🙂 To ensure that we have both **socialising** AND **working**, we will be using the so called “Pomodoro” technique: **50min of deep work** (silent), followed by **10min of break** to socialise. Then repeat! If you get into flow, you're also welcome to skip the breaks. It’s an effective way to stay focused - you can read more about it [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique). Anyone from any background is welcome, whatever project you are working on or whatever is your personal background. I (the host) speak English and German, so either is fine :-) ——————————————————- AGENDA: * **15min Intro** * Get to know everyone, talk about what you will work on today * **Pomodoro Session** (3x) - *Each Pomodoro session consists* *of...* * ...**50min** of uninterrupted “deep work” (no talking, no interruptions, no phones) * ...**10min** of break: share your progress with others, talk about what you are stuck on etc. * Repeat * Conclude and celebrate your progress Share your progress, socialise and get to know others 😊 ———— We'll be at the Social Hub Berlin (they have a food menu in case you get hungry). The structured part will end at 2:30pm, but you're welcome to stay longer, go for lunch together, or leave earlier. See you there 🩵 **\*\*We'll reserve the long table. Please update your RSVP in advance if you can't attend!\*\***

Traumasensitive Meditation, 1 h – Denizen Coworking
Traumasensitive Meditation, 1 h – Denizen Coworking
**Meditation – One Hour of Presence (All levels) by STUDIO B (https://www.studio-bewusstseinserfahrungen.de/)** This one-hour meditation session is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. We begin with a short and gentle breathwork exercise to regulate the body, calm the nervous system, and bring attention inward. This prepares the transition into meditation. This is followed by a 15–20 minute introduction to the meditation practice. During this phase, I explain the core principles of meditation and assign each participant a personal meditation task, tailored to their individual level of experience. The intention of this part is to create clarity, inner orientation, and a sense of safety for the silent practice. We then enter a first phase of silent meditation. After approximately 15–20 minutes, the silence is intentionally interrupted by a short walking meditation. This is not a break, but a conscious transition that integrates the body, releases restlessness, and deepens presence. Afterwards, we return to silent meditation. Each participant practices independently with their personal instruction, within a calm and supportive space. This session invites you to cultivate presence, quiet the mind, and either deepen an existing meditation practice or begin one in a grounded and accessible way. **Open to all levels. No prior experience required.** Payment is for the room. \*\*\* Session structure - **duration: 60 minutes** **1\. Arrival & Breathwork \| 5–7 minutes** Gentle, regulating breathwork to calm the nervous system and gather attention. **2\. Walking Meditation \| 5–8 minutes** Mindful walking meditation as a conscious transition. Integration of the body, release of restlessness, deepening of presence. **5\. Silent Meditation – Phase II \| 10–15 minutes** Return to silence. Deepening the practice after movement. **Optional: Short Closing \| 2–3 minutes** Gentle return and integration. \*\*\* Safety and integrity The session is guided in a trauma-sensitive and professionally held container. Data & Analytics Wednesday - The Data-Driven Brand
Data & Analytics Wednesday - The Data-Driven Brand
**The Data-Driven Brand: Using Analytics to Shape Perception** Can you use analytics to improve tacos? This being CBUSDAW, we think the answer is probably “yes”, but we’re not sure how to implement or test this theory. For our April meetup we’ve got Sara Kear, CMO of Condado Tacos, to investigate this delicious question. Sara will explore how she blends quantitative data and qualitative customer feedback to shape brand positioning and drive business decisions. We all know that marketing and analytics go way beyond attribution. Sara will show how Condado uses customer insights to inform product and pricing strategy. She’ll also highlight how Condado leverages customer feedback at scale to influence operational priorities, positioning marketing as the voice of the customer across the organization. In the last 12 years Condado has gone from one location in Columbus to 52 locations across 10 states, so we’re guessing there’s more to that growth than really good guac (though the guac probably helps). Ultimately, this talk focuses on the intersection of art and science—using data to inform creativity and build a brand that resonates with customers in a measurable way. **About Our Speaker** Sara Kear is Chief Marketing Officer at Condado Tacos, where she oversees brand, restaurant design, menu and pricing strategy, off-premise including catering, and customer data strategy. Since joining in 2021, she has helped grow the brand from 19 to 52 locations while building a data-driven marketing organization focused on loyalty and customer insights. Condado has since been named to the Inc. 5000, recognized as Breakout Retailer by Chain Store Age, and consistently ranked among FastCasual’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers.
