**Would you like to learn badminton and finally hit the shuttle properly?** Our beginner training is exactly what you’re looking for! In small groups of up to 4 people, you will learn the basics step by step: * proper footwork * your first shots to simple game situations * how to serve properly * the game rules * and much, much more! *Recommendation:* Since you learn and build knowledge together as a group, **attending at least 4 consecutive sessions is ideal**. This way, you can grow as a team, benefit from each other, and make faster progress. **Who is this training for?** Anyone with little or no prior experience, but a willingness to learn how to properly play badminton! The host will reserve courts in advance, **that means please only register if you really plan to come** (or cancel at least 24 hours before the event starts). **The fee for this training is 16€ and includes the trainer, the shuttles and the court booking for one hour.** If you plan on paying in cash, please bring the exact amount as the host might not have any change available. The training is done in both German and English. Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. The locker rooms are free to use, but for the men lockers you need a padlock - or you can also take your bag of clothes upstairs to the courts if you do not have a padlock. Join us on a relaxed evening bike tour along the Donauinsel to enjoy the sunset in a beautiful setting during the longest day of the year! We start at the bike rental at Copa Beach in Kaisermühlen and ride leisurely towards the eastern end of the Donauinsel. The route takes you past the Kraftwerk Freundau and offers wonderful views of the Danube and the surrounding nature along the way. We take a break at the end of the Donauinsel to watch the sunset in peace and enjoy the atmosphere. Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations. 
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus. 
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn. 
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play. 
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders… 
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords… 
IMPORTANT: 
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for. 
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.

We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator. Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros. 10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block noise or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Electrical outlets are limited, so charge your devices before whenever possible.
