Impact Over Perfection – A Practical Approach to Accessibility
Accessibility often feels overwhelming with all its guidelines, standards and edge cases. But in practice, meaningful improvements don’t require perfection. They require empathy and a sincere motivation to create a truly usable experience for all.
In this talk, we share real learnings from UX and UI projects: what actually made a difference, where teams struggled, and how small, deliberate changes created a much more inclusive experience.
You’ll walk away with a practical mindset and actionable ideas to start improving accessibility in your own projects — without waiting for the “perfect” solution.

ZH3 Hash # 1729: The Can‘t Get You Out of My Head. Head, Who Said Head Hash?
Kylie Minogue said Head and today we celebrate the birthday of the Pint of Aussie Beer Sized Princess of Pop.
Your glamorous Hares have made a pop splendid trail Especially For You. A trail that will have you doing The Loca-Motion from A to A and a popfantastic drink stop to have you Spinning Around. A refreshing swim stop where hopefully the water won’t get In Your Eyes. A trail so good it might just get named trail of the year - I Should Be So Lucky!
Bag drop at the mobility car at the end of Hermetschloostrasse. Final stop on the bus 31. VIP glitzy On after at Micas Garten.
Hares are Just Beggin' For It & Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey.
**Where**:
See location. Typically within Zurich Zone 10. Look for English speakers wearing running gear.
**When:**
We'll meet at 6:50 pm to start at 7:00 pm.
There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards.
**All Welcome:**
If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know:
• We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful.
• The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun.
• 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further.
• The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time.
• There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change.
• **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards.
**Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?**
If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it.
'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.*
We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups.

**Talks Details:**
**Securing Your Code & Environment in the Age of AI-Accelerated Threats (Markus):**
AI keeps shortening the mean time from vulnerability disclosure to exploitation. This talk will discuss a playbook security teams can apply today — covering the CSA "Mythos-Ready" framework, AWS Security Agent, agentic threat modeling, and the fundamentals that continue to work
**Using HoneyPots to protect critical Infrastructure (Giulio):**
How do you protect your critical infrastructure in the days of agentic ai and very limited options on your hosts? You need to get creative and use stone age tech. I’ll give you some insights, from our journey and pitfalls you might be facing (and should be avoided :))
**We Tried to Detect Prompt Injection in Coding Agents. Here's What Broke (Paulo):**
As a community, we are delegating a significant part of our development workflow to agents, and as the use cases grow, the risk of prompt injection keeps increasing - to the point that it made it to the top of the OWASP LLM Top 10. In this talk, I'll explore the concept of "detect and prevent prompt injection" and why it is particularly hard to do for coding agents.
**Speaker Details:**

Zurich Kundalini Yoga/Meditation (Donation Basis)
Dear All,
This session is mainly for the people who want to learn kundalini yoga/meditation in a traditional way. Traditionally the master will transfer his/her kundalini energy to the student to activate his important chakras (energy centre) including Third Eye and Crown Chakra. The student can start to feel his/her Kundalini Energy is rising from their base of the spine and feeling the energy vibration(Consciousness) in the third eye (the space between the eyebrows) from the Kundalini Activation. This session is helpful for the beginners who want to learn simple yoga-meditation exercises also.
This is a general session to experience your inner kundalini energy. But if you need proper kundalini activation(Shaktipat), then pre-registration is mandatory.
**What is included in this session?**
Simple stretching practices for Hip and Spine (not complicated, even beginners can do)
Kundalini Breathing Techniques
Sound Energy (Mantra) Meditation
Energy Healing Techniques
Formal Kundalini Activation (optional and only for pre-registered people)
Chakra Meditation
Yoga Nidra (Relaxation)
**Some of the benefits of Kundalini Energy Activation are:**
Keeps the body healthy
Mind attains its natural peaceful state, so the meditation becomes easy.
Breathing pattern will be harmonized
Stress release and peace
Clear & sharp intellect
More intuition
Inner happiness
Clairvoyance and Clairvision
and to the ultimate SELF realization (which will lead to the blissful state - our true state) with enough years of practise
**DONATION BASIS**
**About the Teacher who conducts this session:**
The kundalini wisdom teacher Jayaprakash is practising kundalini yoga since 2005 under the guidance of Self Realized Indian Master "GuruMahan". He is teaching kundalini yoga since 2008 as part of a non-profit organization "Maha Shakthi Yogam Switzerland". He teaches Yoga/Meditation/Pranic Healing/Stress Relief courses in various places of Germany and Switzerland. He is the authorized kundalini yoga wisdom teacher from UPF(India) to give kundalini initiations (Shaktipat) with the Grace and Protection of his Master.
All these events are conducted for non-profit purpose. Donations are collected on behalf of Swiss non-profit organization (Verein) "Maha Shakthi Yogam - Switzerland"
**Eligibility:**
Anyone can attend the session even if they don't have previous yoga/Meditation experiences.
**Dress:**
Wear a comfortable dress if possible yoga dress. We provide the yoga mat.
**Please RSVP only you are really interested and coming ! Limited Seats !**
**About Kundalini Shaktipat:**
In every human being there is a source of natural energy that the yogis call the kundalini. In order to evolve in the yogic path, no matter what our path, the kundalini must be active.
For most of us, the kundalini lies dormant at the bottom of the spine in the base chakra known as the Muladhar. When it awakens, it ascends through the chakras until it reaches the highest chakra, the Sahasrar. When that occurs, we merge with our True Self and attain SELF realization (our true nature).
Shaktipat is the transfer of spiritual energy from the teacher to the student in order to awaken the kundalini. This process is compared to lighting one candle with another that is already lit and glowing. When the teacher is connected with the fully realized master and the energy is completely within his or her control, shaktipat initiation ensures that the student’s energy will remain active and stable. "Electricity is present everywhere, but there can be light only when the switch is turned on. Similarly the true master manifests the consciousness in the disciple through shaktipat.”
**HAPPINESS is our TRUE Nature, which comes from within not from outside !**

**Ten times tea**
I'm building a programming language. When I got to the frontend, I ran into a problem: React's mental model is elegant, but the mental model is at odds with the code. Hooks, effects, and render passes create a runtime that bears little resemblance to the code we write. The Elm programming language works differently and its architecture (TEA = The Elm Architecture) has been adopted by other tools over the years.
So I copied it as well. My language embeds TEA at the language level, not as a library. This unlocks time-travel debugging, reproducible application state and serializable bug reports that include the entire program state.
This talk covers the quick introduction of my language, TEA, why TEA is the right fit and what becomes possible when the architecture is baked into the language itself.
19:50 \~ 20:10
*Marco Gähler*
**Software testing**
Many old software projects don't have any tests - if the code works, why should you bother with tests? Well, you really should bother, because code changes all the time. During development, you keep adding new features which at times requires large scale modifications of the code that will inevitably alter existing functionality. And in existing projects, one still has to make updates once in a while, for example for security patches. These things will always break existing functionality and tests are the only remedy against this issue.
In this talk, we will look at the basic idea of tests, how to implement them, what issues to look out for and how you can test pretty much any piece of code if your code base is well structured.
20:10 onward

How to Take Control of YOUR Mental Health
It’s time to take control of your mental health. How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind.
Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself.
Here is the secret of being positive and free:
Thinking positively is not enough.
You also have to get rid of the negative thinking.
Your mind is like a garden.
You can plant many beautiful flowers in it, but if you don't get rid of the weeds when you plant your flowers, the weeds will soon take over the whole garden.
A positive thought is like a flower in your mental garden, and a negative thought is like a weed.
You cannot expect to have a positive mindset if you continue to have negative thoughts dwelling and growing there.
So, how do you get rid of the negative thoughts? That's what this Meetup is all about. Attend this local meeting and find out!
The Meetup event will be led by a consultant who had helped many people live happier in life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.

The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
Like it or not, AI agents are now capable of turning a quickly written paragraph of requirements into a pull request that is ready to be integrated into real-world production applications and it's now our responsibility to make sure AI doesn't go rogue and take down prod - or corrupt our data by misunderstanding the requirements or our existing schemas. In this session we'll explore strategies to protect our codebases through unit and integration testing, documentation, and code review along with additional ways of providing context and guard rails to our AI agents as they carry out the work we've assigned them to do. By the time we're done, you'll have a firm grasp of the problem and understand some helpful options for protecting your codebase from vibe coding mishaps getting YOLOed into prod.
