WebAssembly and Embedded Software Development
WebAssembly and Embedded Software Development
**About** Would your embedded product benefit from application logic updates that do not require changes to the full firmware? Or a mechanism for your customers to tweak and extend the functionality of the product? Using their favourite language(s), without proprietary tooling? And all that while your product stays secure, no matter how creative said customers get? WebAssembly (abbreviated Wasm) might be exactly what you are looking for. Join us this evening to learn about the state of the art of running WebAssembly on MCUs, and to experience a practical example of a real world, production grade embedded code base targeting WebAssembly and running in a browser. Merging the two approaches is then left to the visitors as a take-home exercise. **Presentations** 1. 15’: Welcome (Urs/Reto and SCS) 2. 40’: Browser technology on the MCU? Introduction to WebAssembly, overview of existing embedded runtimes, use cases, discussion. (Pascal Mainini) 3. 30’: Unlocking Bluetooth Connectivity in Browsers: From Sensors to Audio (Matthias Ringwald) Presentations start at 19:00. Afterwards we’ll have plenty of time to discuss and socialize. **About the speakers** * [Pascal Mainini](https://mainini.ch/) is a teacher and researcher at [Berner Fachhochschule](https://www.bfh.ch/en/about-bfh/people/kkmsprgzbqc2/), focussing on the security of embedded systems and the Internet of Things. * [Matthias Ringwald](https://www.linkedin.com/in/matthiasringwald/) is a Co-Founder of [BlueKitchen GmbH](https://bluekitchen-gmbh.com/) and develops their Bluetooth stack. He knows everything about Bluetooth.

Zürich - 83rd Fabric User Group [HYBRID]
Dear Data Wizards, We are looking forward to inviting all of you to our next meetup. **IF YOU WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN PERSON, PLEASE REACH OUT TO KRISTIAN DIRECTLY AS WE NEED TO REGISTER YOU IN THE CIRCLE.** **Topics** * What's New - Kristian * Data Quality Testing - Louis * Introduction to DAX User Defined Functions (UDFs) - Marco The session will be recorded and made available on YouTube --> [https://aka.ms/FabricUGYouTube](https://aka.ms/FabricUGYouTube) **Data Quality Testing** A hands-on introduction to data quality in the data warehouse context. The session highlights why data quality is business-critical, outlines different types of tests, explains the distinction between syntactic and semantic validations, and demonstrates how to integrate a step-by-step testing strategy into existing data pipelines. Covering everything from quick wins to advanced monitoring approaches, in a tool-agnostic manner. **Introduction to DAX User Defined Functions (UDFs)** A user-defined function is a DAX formula with parameters that can return values or tables. Parameters can be passed by value or by expression. In this session, you will learn how to define and consume user-defined functions in your semantic model, how to share them in different models, and how to use function libraries created by the community! **Sponsor** We are happy to share that this meetup is kindly sponsored by our partner Altyca, who is hosting the apéro for this event. A big thank-you to Altyca for supporting the Fabric & Power BI community and helping us create a great setting for learning, discussion, and networking. **Good to know** We want this group to be a safe environment that encourages open discussion, exchange of ideas and problems you may face. Therefore, we kindly ask that no members will leverage the information for unsolicited acquisitions of new customers or projects. This group builds on trust, and without it we cannot learn from each other and excel on this topic. **Want to be a presenter?** We are always looking for new speaker. If you are interested and would like to show something to the Power BI Meetup Group please feel free to contact us!
Abstract painting with acrylic paints: Floral Dreams
Abstract painting with acrylic paints: Floral Dreams
Unwind after work, clear your mind, and immerse yourself in a world of color – that's what this 1.5-hour acrylic painting workshop is all about. "After Work Flow" is a creative space where you can find peace, leave everyday life behind, and fully embrace the moment. No prior experience is necessary – just the desire to try something new and engage with color and movement. On a 30 x 30 cm canvas, you'll discover the freedom of abstract painting. There's no right or wrong, no perfect or imperfect – only your personal expression. You'll learn how colors interact, how they mix, overlap, and create new moods. It's not just about the result, but above all about the process: feeling, observing, and letting go. A special focus is placed on getting to know colors intuitively. You'll be surprised how individual hues change when combined and how much emotion can be contained in a single area of color. Step by step, you'll develop your own abstract painting and learn to let go of preconceived notions. Brushstrokes also play a crucial role. You'll discover different ways to apply paint – calmly, boldly, softly, or with texture. Each brushstroke becomes a movement that lends depth and character to your painting. You're encouraged to experiment, try things out, and find new forms of expression without pressure or expectations. The workshop invites you to enter a state of flow – a place where time ceases to matter and you become completely immersed in the creative process. This is precisely where relaxation arises: when you detach yourself from your thoughts and simply allow yourself to drift. All materials are provided, including a 30 x 30 cm canvas, high-quality acrylic paints, and all necessary tools. At the end, you'll take your own abstract artwork home – a memento of a short creative break just for you. "After Work Flow" is more than just a painting course. It's a break from everyday life, a moment for yourself, and an invitation to experience color anew.
ZH3 Hash # 1732: Street Food Festival
ZH3 Hash # 1732: Street Food Festival
Hare is KTTT. A short trail followed by expensive beer and street food at the hardturm street food festival. **Where**: Bag drop is at the mobility car saved on meetup. Look for English speakers wearing running gear. **When:** We'll meet at 6:50 pm to start at 7:00 pm. There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards. **All Welcome:** If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know: • We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful. • The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun. • 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further. • The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time. • There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change. • **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards. **Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?** If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it. 'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.* We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups. For more about Zürich Hash House Harriers, check out [www.zh3.ch](http://www.zh3.ch/) ( [http://www.zh3.ch/](http://www.zh3.ch/) )
Zurich Kundalini Yoga/Meditation (Donation Basis)
Zurich Kundalini Yoga/Meditation (Donation Basis)

But if you need proper kundalini activation(Shaktipat), then pre-registration is mandatory. **What is included in this session?** Simple stretching practices for Hip and Spine (not complicated, even beginners can do) Kundalini Breathing Techniques Sound Energy (Mantra) Meditation Energy Healing Techniques Formal Kundalini Activation (optional and only for pre-registered people) Chakra Meditation Yoga Nidra (Relaxation) **Some of the benefits of Kundalini Energy Activation are:** Keeps the body healthy Mind attains its natural peaceful state, so the meditation becomes easy. He teaches Yoga/Meditation/Pranic Healing/Stress Relief courses in various places of Germany and Switzerland. He is the authorized kundalini yoga wisdom teacher from UPF(India) to give kundalini initiations (Shaktipat) with the Grace and Protection of his Master. All these events are conducted for non-profit purpose. Donations are collected on behalf of Swiss non-profit organization (Verein) "Maha Shakthi Yogam - Switzerland" **Eligibility:** Anyone can attend the session even if they don't have previous yoga/Meditation experiences. **Dress:** Wear a comfortable dress if possible yoga dress. We provide the yoga mat. **Please RSVP only you are really interested and coming ! Limited Seats !** **About Kundalini Shaktipat:** In every human being there is a source of natural energy that the yogis call the kundalini. In order to evolve in the yogic path, no matter what our path, the kundalini must be active. For most of us, the kundalini lies dormant at the bottom of the spine in the base chakra known as the Muladhar. When it awakens, it ascends through the chakras until it reaches the highest chakra, the Sahasrar. When that occurs, we merge with our True Self and attain SELF realization (our true nature). Shaktipat is the transfer of spiritual energy from the teacher to the student in order to awaken the kundalini. This process is compared to lighting one candle with another that is already lit and glowing. When the teacher is connected with the fully realized master and the energy is completely within his or her control, shaktipat initiation ensures that the student’s energy will remain active and stable. "Electricity is present everywhere, but there can be light only when the switch is turned on. Similarly the true master manifests the consciousness in the disciple through shaktipat.” **HAPPINESS is our TRUE Nature, which comes from within not from outside !**

How to Take Control of YOUR Mental Health
How to Take Control of YOUR Mental Health
It’s time to take control of your mental health. How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind. Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself. Here is the secret of being positive and free: Thinking positively is not enough. You also have to get rid of the negative thinking. Your mind is like a garden. You can plant many beautiful flowers in it, but if you don't get rid of the weeds when you plant your flowers, the weeds will soon take over the whole garden. A positive thought is like a flower in your mental garden, and a negative thought is like a weed. You cannot expect to have a positive mindset if you continue to have negative thoughts dwelling and growing there. So, how do you get rid of the negative thoughts? That's what this Meetup is all about. Attend this local meeting and find out! The Meetup event will be led by a consultant who had helped many people live happier in life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics & Scientology life improvement center.

AI Agents 101: How to Make ChatGPT Do Actual Work
AI Agents 101: How to Make ChatGPT Do Actual Work
Most people still use AI like a search box: type one question, get one answer, repeat. But the next step is AI agents: systems that can take a goal, break it into steps, use tools, remember context, and produce useful work for a human to review. In this beginner-friendly session, we’ll demystify what AI agents actually are — without hype or jargon. We’ll walk through practical examples of how agents can help with research, planning, writing, coding, operations, and personal productivity. We’ll cover: * What makes an AI “agent” instead of just a chatbot * How agents break tasks into steps * Where agents are genuinely useful today * Where they fail, hallucinate, or need human review * How to design simple AI workflows for your own work * A live demo of an AI agent-style workflow from start to finish No coding experience required. This is for anyone who wants to understand where AI tools are going and how to use them more effectively right now. LOGISTICS AND PARKING: The talk starts at 7:00 PM. The first half hour is reserved for everyone to get set up and mingle. Free pizza and drinks! The cheapest parking option is to find street parking, which will only cost you a few bucks. Otherwise, park in the nearby veteran's museum lot for $8. It's highly recommended you avoid the nearby $15 garage parking.
