The year is 1923. You have won a ticket to an intimate but lavish seance in Belgrave. The hostess promises a refined evening: a private séance to soothe grief, answer questions and to help move on. But from the moment you arrive, something feels off. The other guests watch you with bright eyes and ask strange questions. Maybe it is just the eccentric rich of Melbourne? You just need to spend one the evening being of polite; the chance to answer your questions is too tempting... The question is will this be your last night and will you join the spirits you are summoning?
This is a **beginner friendly game** and knowledge of the game is not necessary. The essence and rules of the game will be taught on the day.
On the night you will choose a pre-generated character designed for the scenario and settle in for 3 hours of game play. There will be dice dice trays, pencils and pens you can use on the night. You do not need to bring anything except yourselves.
Please note that Call of Cthulhu is a horror investigation game. Be warned that this game will contain: contacting the dead, some body horror, desecration of the dead, blasphemy and spiritual misconduct.
If you hold an **EGAD membership**; this event is eligible for free entry and discounts.
If you have any further questions please email: *info@egnd.com.au*
See you at the table,

Meet & Geek Thursday @ Pixel Bar & Cafe
Hey friends, please join us for our Meet and Geek at Pixel! We run this event every four weeks and it's a great opportunity to meet new people, play some games, and have some fun. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
* **About the event:** Perfect if you're a solo gamer looking to make friends, or if you've never been to a Meet Up before! It's a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere where you can comfortably meet people and play games socially. There's a variety of games and player experience at all levels.
* **Bring your own favourite game(s)!** There is a great selection of games provided by Pixel, but we encourage people to bring their own as well! If you don't have any, no dramas! Just join a table and learn a new game with help from our friendly community.
* **Starting at 7pm and ending about 10pm** at Pixel Bar and Cafe. They have kindly let us use their space, so please show your support to this great venue by buying a drink or two (non-alcoholic options available!). If you're in need of a bite, you can order food to the venue too!
* **Getting there:** Pixel Bar is opposite Huntingdale station, so there's trains, buses, and plenty of car parks!

It's Jugger time! Get on down to Hawthorn for fun, sun, exercise, and silly shenanigans
* ✅ Free to attend
* ⚔️ Jugger Equipment is supplied
* 🍜 Post-training social lunch - all welcome
* ➡️ [Find us on Discord](https://discord.gg/WHnMyk56Cu)
Jugger is an exciting, mixed-gender soft combat sport. Two teams use a selection of padded foam spars to tag opponents as they aim to put the jugg (the game ball) into their opponent's goal.
**Watch Jugger being played in [this excellent short demo video](https://vimeo.com/28592980).**
Jugger Melbourne training sessions include both full games of jugger, as well as a variety of training drills designed to promote **teamwork, communication, exercise, health and fitness, and teach core game skills.**
After training we head across to Glenferrie Rd for lunch and socializing, which you are welcome (and encouraged!) to join.
**🏃♀️➡️ New Player Info / Who Can Join**
New players are always welcome! Our experienced coaches will teach you basics to get you and and swinging in no time Jugger is easy to pickup the basics while deep to master.
We have a minimum age policy of 16 years (please note, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian), but other than that we welcome anyone of all fitness levels. Jugger is a great way to keep active, and a fun way to meet new people in a friendly and inclusive community!
**👟 How to Join a Session and What to Bring**
Joining is simple - just show up! RSVPing on Meetup or Discord is a big help as it helps us plan around expected numbers. You are also welcome to bring along any interested friends and family.
**⚔️ Jugger equipment is supplied.** We have a collection of gear to loan out to new players.
Bring a water bottle (there is a tap nearby), sunscreen, and wear comfortable clothes and shoes for running around in - and that you don't mind getting a bit dirty!
Recommend but not required items include: sunglasses, football boots, kneepads, and gloves if you have them. You don't need any of these to get started, but you may find you want them if you become a regular.
**✅ Are there any costs are involved?**
Our training sessions are **free to attend** as often as you like, we are essentially just a group of friends that meet for training and socializing on the weekend.
The Australian Jugger League has a voluntary annual membership that helps to support the sport (including maintaining equipment and paying for Meetup), and we encourage people to join once they become a regular attendee or begin attending tournaments. However there's no obligation so spend any money when you're first trying it out or just attending casually.
**➡️ External Links**
We organise our regular players through our Discord group and their attendance is not often represented in the Meetup attendance numbers (we use Meetup to reach out to new people).
Events are also (though less regularly) posted to Facebook, while event photos and videos are shared on our Instagram.
