Whether you're writing for a professional goal, academic project, private thoughts and wellbeing, or purely casual enjoyment, (or still deciding!) - don't worry we won't be asking each other to share details. You can just arrive, make yourself comfortable with anything you need, and get on with whatever you decide. No-one will be reading your work or judging if you've met targets. We don't set group goals and deadlines: we're just here to help each other with our own - where needed. Or to switch off and talk about something else completely, if you need that instead! This is a social event and aimed at bringing new people together, not just a co-working space. **Respect** Please also note our Code of Conduct: [www.shutupwrite.com/code-of-conduct](https://www.shutupwrite.com/code-of-conduct) ...and be aware this is an informal event open to adults of all ages and backgrounds. Over hills of Ivinghoe (14 miles)
Over hills of Ivinghoe (14 miles)
The 1937 *Country Walks* describes Ivinghoe Beacon as a "bare but shapely northern spur of the Chilterns, and much of the wooded hill-country to the south and east of the Ivinghoe ridge is National Trust property, where one may roam at will on the open greensward and in rough beechwoods." From its summit, almost 800ft high, stretch views across the Chilterns, the Quainton Hills and the Dunstable Downs. Ivinghoe village inspired Walter Scott to name his knight *Ivanhoe.* An ancient windmill sits in a field. The King's Head, a hospitable 15th-C inn retains its oak beams and broad fireplaces. In the church the roof is of grandeur, and look out for the distorted faces on pews, the work of medieval craftsmen. So greet 2026 with chivalry: *Off we go, to Ivinghoe!* Outward Travel: Take the train departing 9.54 AM from London Euston to TRING. An off peak day return is £14.70 with Groupsave or Network card. Beforehand from 9.30 AM the organizer will be easy to spot near the ticket office in the station wearing yellow to act as a focal point for people arranging group tickets. Walk start: 10.35 AM from Tring rail station. Bring a packed lunch. Village/pub stop for drinks. Circular walk. As always in the winter months a torch is advisable just in case. *How to join?* * The walk is entirely free of charge; * You only arrange for your own travel and pub expenses; * Understand our terms and conditions below (the "IMPORTANT" part); * Understand how to stay safe outdoors, as you will be responsible for yourself. See our quick safety tips: http://www.meetup.com/Free-Outdoor-Trips-From-London/about/ *What to bring* * Plenty of water, 1-2 litres recommended * Enough snacks and packed lunch to keep you energized along the walk * Extra snacks and an extra packed lunch just in case * Rainproof (ideally waterproof) clothing, sturdy shoes/boots you don't mind getting muddy Feel free to ask any questions in the comments section! IMPORTANT Please bear in mind this is a free of charge, self-guided trip with a hobby group. It is not organized by a business nor any entity with commercial purposes. Any trip details, travel advice, route planning, instructions and other content in our group merely represent our shared personal knowledge, research and suggestions as outdoor enthusiasts. As this is no business, there is no "product", "service" or "package" and also no "tour guide", "operator" or "walk leader". Each participant is responsible for their own safety. Even if some of us are very experienced walking outdoors, nobody assumes responsibility for any kind of injury, damage or loss that may happen. Despite this, we take extreme precautions and all trips we plan are very safe, fun, highly educational and popular. Our experienced members volunteer their time and effort to shape a pleasant and quality adventure for everyone :-) By participating you acknowledge and agree with this disclaimer. Here are our tips on staying safe during outdoor trips: http://www.meetup.com/Free-Outdoor-Trips-From-London/about/ TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION, INSURANCE Although we provide detailed suggestions, each participant is expected to arrange their own travel - this gives everyone the freedom and choice. Anyone interested in travel or outdoor insurance should also arrange this on their own. As mentioned above we always take extreme precautions, but some people may still feel safer if covered. As most of our trips are confirmed or postponed very close to the event date - heavily depending on the weather forecasts - we advise not to buy this until the last minute. People getting tickets from the same station are encouraged to meet early on the day to benefit from discounts such as GroupSave.

Dance Class: Afro-Latin Urbano | isolations, accents & expression for solo dance
Dance Class: Afro-Latin Urbano | isolations, accents & expression for solo dance
This is an invitation for dancers of any style & novices alike, to expand your personal expression within your own dance. Make the music bounce into the 3D, get supernatural, & ride the groove. Express yourself by developing your Dance Toolkit to include illusions, gesture, glides, popping techniques, pelvic & torso rotations, accents, and more. Where rhythm, waving, beats, and isolations meet. Load up on funk, flavor, and spice. Your teacher: BIO- Fayzah is a life long dancer, having trained in classical dance from an early age. She later had a full professional dance career out of New York City, where she danced in several Dance Companies, and toured worldwide as an invited solo artist. Fayzahs love for different types of music led her to discover the dance styles that sprung from these musical genres, including various world music, funk styles, african, and latin, to name some. Being of mixed race and ethnicity, and having grown up in three different continents speaking multiple languages, informed her global perspective, as well as coming from a family with a strong artistic lineage. Fayzah's genre bending dance classes are brought to you after many dedicated years of learning several dance styles in their pure forms, before mixing. Traveling to, and living in the countries of origin where these dance styles came from, has brought her additional understanding and appreciation. Aside from dance, she is an accredited Self Development & Wellness educator. At times this combines with dance, and other times presented as separate educational content. She loves guiding her class participants in bringing out their own unique expression.

Anger and Resentment, How to Handle their Source and Live a Better Life
Anger and Resentment, How to Handle their Source and Live a Better Life
Wouldn’t it be nice to find a way to overcome your feelings of anger so that you not only control them, but you no longer have the urge to lose your temper in the first place? And how about being able to shake off resentments, persistent annoyance, or even feelings of vengeance? We’d like to invite you to an event on how to overcome anger and resentment. We will show you why people have trouble controlling their temper and where resentment comes from. Flaring anger can ruin a meeting, a relationship, an opportunity, or just about any aspect of life. Worst of all, outbursts towards our family can create hurt that lingers throughout a lifetime. You want to have a civil conversation, and you’ve vowed that you wouldn’t lose your temper, but a few minutes later, the anger flares up. Maybe you’ve realized that being angry doesn’t get you what you want so you internalize it. Or maybe you avoid the knockdown, drag-out fights, but stewing in resentment is exhausting and takes an emotional toll. In this event we show you how to get to the root of your anger so that it stops being an issue to you. You’ll also learn why people harbor resentments and how to move on. Don't continue to struggle, make a difference in your life, and join us for this local event. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to the event. We look forward to seeing you there. This Meetup is sponsored by your local Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center.
