Repair Café at Stoneybatter Festival
We are delighted to be bringing our Repair Café back to [Stoneybatter Festival](https://stoneybatterfestival.ie/) this June.
Tog Hackerspace will be joining the 10th Stoneybatter Festival with a community Repair Café, giving people a chance to bring along broken household items and work with our volunteers to see if they can be fixed.
Do you have broken items at home, small appliances, toys, electronics, household bits and pieces, or something that just needs a bit of care?
No need to throw them away just yet. Bring them along, and our volunteer fixers will do their best to help. We will have tools, materials, and a team of people who enjoy opening things up, figuring out what went wrong, and sharing repair skills along the way.

## Key Info
**What:** Repair Café at Stoneybatter Festival
**When:** Saturday, 20 June 2026, 2 pm – 6 pm
**Where:** Aughrim Street Scout Group, Dublin 7
**Tickets:** Free, booking via Eventbrite
**Book here:** [https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/repair-cafe-stoneybatter-festival-by-tog-hackerspace-tickets-1989820913918](https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/repair-cafe-stoneybatter-festival-by-tog-hackerspace-tickets-1989820913918)
## What can you bring?
You can bring along small broken items such as:
* Small electrical appliances
* Electronics
* Toys
* Lamps
* Household items
* Other bits and pieces that might be repairable
Safety testing for electrical items will be available.
Please note that we may not be able to fix everything on the day, but we will do our best to diagnose the issue, suggest next steps, or point you towards parts or recycling options where needed.
## What is a Repair Café?
A Repair Café is a community event where people bring broken items and work with skilled volunteers to try to repair them. It is about keeping useful things out of landfill, saving money, learning practical skills, and having a bit of fun along the way.
At a Repair Café, you can:
* Learn how things work
* Pick up practical repair tips
* Meet people interested in sustainability and making
* Give your broken items a second chance
Stoneybatter Festival is a brilliant celebration of local community, culture, creativity, food, music, and sustainability. We are very happy to be part of it again and to bring some repair energy to the weekend.
So dig out those broken treasures and join us in Stoneybatter on Saturday, 20 June. Let’s see what we can fix together.

reviving gardans, Growing community
**Hands in the Soil: Community Growing, Learning & Craic**
This first gathering will be a relaxed mix of **hands-on garden work, shared learning, and good conversation**. It’s about getting together in a real space, doing something practical, and seeing what ideas and connections might grow from there.
On the day, we’ll:
* Get our **hands dirty** with some light garden work and soil prep
* Do some **seed sowing** and talk about what grows well locally
* **Make kombucha together** and chat about fermentation, food, and simple home practices
* Share knowledge, questions, and experiences around growing food
* Enjoy some **fellowship, chats, and a bit of craic** along the way.Alongside the practical side, we’ll also have an open, informal discussion about a bigger idea:
* The possibility of **small community “park farms” or gardens** in underused green spaces around Dublin
* What that might look like, what’s realistic, and whether others feel drawn to exploring it further
There’s no pressure, no expertise required, and no expectation beyond showing up with curiosity and a willingness to pitch in. Whether you’re experienced with gardening or completely new, you’re very welcome.
Bring clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, and if you have them, gloves. Everything else will be very low-key.
This is just a **first step** — a chance to meet, work, talk, and see if there’s a shared appetite to keep growing something together.
TOG Open Social
Drop in to our regular Open Social for a great alternative Saturday evening. It's a great informal way to see the space and meet members and visitors.
If you’ve never been in before, we’ll give you the grand tour of the space. Talk to members and visitors about projects or things that you’d like to do. If you like what you see, ask about joining as a full member. Membership brings many benefits. Weather and volunteer permitting, we might have our wood fired pizza oven going outside!
[https://youtu.be/TTQ0YylkEzc](https://youtu.be/TTQ0YylkEzc)
Expect caint, ceol agus craic as usual. The space stays open until the last member is left……usually the small hours of Sunday morning. You can drop in for 10 minutes, or stay the whole night. We have lots of free parking available. Bring beer, food, gadgets!
OpenClaw: Making it useful
Your OpenClaw is running. It replies. Maybe it's done a few things you've asked it to.
Now make it genuinely useful.
**NOTE: Registration invalid on meetup. Please register on here for a valid ticket: [www.giveago.co/register/openclaw2](https://giveago.co/register/openclaw2)**
This is the second day in the OpenClaw series. We're going deeper: memory that actually persists across conversations, a knowledge base it can draw on, skills that connect it to the tools you already use, and workflows that handle a whole process end to end. These are the things that turn an interesting agent into something you actually rely on.
Self-directed, table-group format. You work at your own pace, in your own direction, with people around you doing the same.
**What we'll work through together**
* Memory architecture: short-term, long-term, episodic and how to set them up properly
* Knowledge bases: connecting your own docs and notes so the agent can draw on them
* Good skills to add: which integrations are worth the effort (Notion, email, calendar, GitHub)
* Giving access to tools: MCP, APIs, function calling
* Proper workflows: multi-step, conditional, handling a whole process and not just one message
* Sandboxing: running actions safely without breaking things or leaking data
**NOTE: Registration invalid on meetup. Please register on here for a valid ticket: [www.giveago.co/register/openclaw2](https://giveago.co/register/openclaw2)**
You don't need to have come to Event 1. If you have OpenClaw running, you're ready for this.
Bring a laptop. Bring your OpenClaw running.

Recruiting Virtual Mental Health Group Leaders!
We are recruiting new group leaders for virtual men's groups! Our primary groups are outdoor movement groups, but we are launching virtual groups for the state of Ohio and beyond and the groups will move outside in the spring, creating room for men's groups, women's groups and coed groups all over the country.
Read below to learn about our groups and click the links at the bottom to apply.
### **What is an Outdoor Empowerment Group?**
Our Outdoor Movement & Community Empowerment Groups are simple, guided experiences designed to help people reconnect with nature, themselves, and others. We combine some form of movement (hike, walk, run, bike, yoga, workout) and meaningful conversation within a simple community circle to create a space where individuals can support each other while prioritizing mental and physical well-being.
Whether you’re seeking stress relief, personal growth, or community, our groups offer everyone a unique and welcoming environment.
## **Why Join?**
* **Improve Mental & Physical Well-Being** – Movement, nature, and supportive conversations reduce stress and promote balance.
* **Feel Less Alone** – Build genuine connections with like-minded people in a safe, welcoming space.
* **Gain Clarity & Perspective** – Step outside daily routines and into a space designed for personal growth and reflection.
## **The Ideal Group Leader**
The ideal group leader
* Has a born-in passion for mental health, movement, connecting with nature and building community.
* Has 5 extra hours per week to dedicate to a meaningful cause for at least one year. Yes, you can leave any organization at any time and we can also ask you to leave, but we are building with legacy in mind and we need people who can commit and be ALL IN on this mission to build with us.
* Is independently financially stable with the ability to volunteer with no expectation of pay. This is a deeply beautiful journey of service that all participants commit to at Speak Your Mind.
* An ability to manage groups with high emotional intelligence and desire for human connection.
* An ability to self-motivate and market/promote their group on Facebook and other social platforms.
* Nature informed therapy or clinical therapists/psychologists a plus.
## **Our Impact**

Since launching, we have helped thousands find support, connection, and healing through our Outdoor Movement Groups. 100% of participants surveyed have reported:
* A noticeable improvement in mental clarity and emotional well-being.
* An increase in social connection and a sense of belonging.
* Said they would return again.
We believe mental health should be accessible, community-driven, and rooted in nature. Join us and take the first step toward a more connected, grounded, and supported version of yourself.
### **Why Our Groups are Donation-Based**
Our Outdoor Movement Groups are made possible through a donation-based model. This approach allows us to keep our events accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, while also ensuring that we can continue expanding our reach. It’s a great way to pay it forward and support the growth of this beautiful mission!
Every contribution helps us:
* **Cover Essential Costs** – Donations allow us to pay essential legal, marketing, insurance, and admin costs as well as nourish the important people who run the organization.
* **Grow Our Mission** – With your support, we can bring these healing experiences to thousands more people in the future and execute our long term plan to expand across the USA, affecting up to 500,000 people per year.
By choosing to contribute, you’re not just leading an event—you’re helping build a mental health movement that supports long-term well-being and connection for all during a severe mental health epidemic.
