For our very first book club meeting, we’re heading to 19th-century Brazil with ***The Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas*** by **Machado de Assis!** First published in 1881, this novel turns the idea of a memoir upside down. Its narrator, Brás Cubas, begins his story after his death, freed from reputation, consequence, and social expectation. The hike is considered moderate, but still suitable for most active people. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :) We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery.
