The next NoVABeerSec event - "Informal Gathering of Security Minds Over Beer" will be Wednesday, April 29th, 5:30PM til 7:30ish at Aslin Beer Company - Herndon Taproom (767 Elden St., Herndon VA 20170).
**Venue for April:** Aslin Beer Company (https://www.aslinbeer.com) - Aslin Beer Co. was founded in 2015 by Andrew Kelley and Kai Leszkowicz. The name, Aslin, comes from the family that connected Andrew and Kai through marriage; they each married a daughter from the Aslin Family. Andrew’s professional background was in finance and consulting, while Kai worked in public service. They bonded over a shared interest of craft beer and home-brewing, which eventually lead to the idea that “We can do this too.”
**Additional Info:** We are an inclusive group, so if we missed anyone please let us know or if you want to bring your significant other/spouse please do. We do know there are folks that have changed roles since we last met so please also let us know if we need to add new contact info for people. Have a great week and see you later this month!

NOVA JJJ Training (Sterling)
This is our weekly training session. NOVA Jujutsu is a self-defense focused system incorporating Geri (Kicking), Atemi (Striking), Uke (Blocking), Tai Sabakai (Body Movement), Tai Hodoki (Escapes), Kansetsu Waza (Joint Locks), Nage Waza (Throwing), Shime Waza (Choking), Katame Waza (Grappling), Tantojutsu (Knife), Bojutsu (Bo), Kenjutsu (Sword), and Kata (Forms).
Come on down to a class and see for yourself what this group has to offer. You will get a great workout! You will have an awesome learning experience! You will meet some good people!

Let’s reboot the DC Postgres Meetup series!
This inaugural meeting will be hosted by John Porvaznik and Eddie Pickle and all are welcome. We’re actively looking for speakers, co-hosts, event spaces and other folks that want to help bring this group back to life. If you can’t make it but want to be involved in the future, please let us know.
John Porvaznik will present a talk on Postgres fundamentals including shared buffers, memory usage, pages, and more. John is a long time PostgreSQL Engineer and DBA in the government space with focus on ETL / Data Ingestion, PostGIS and spatial data sets, query optimizations, Database Design // DDL, benchmarking and specifications, data health, and system healths and monitoring.
This meetup will be hosted near the Snowflake office in Tysons (event space sponsored by Snowflake). We’ll have pizza and drinks for folks.
6:00 arrival and networking, 6:30 talk followed by discussion, 7:45 close.
The event is at 1750 Tysons Boulevard, McClean, VA, 22102, in the 1750 Tysons Conference Center. This is Metro Accessible from the Silver Line to Tyson's Corner station. Parking at the mall next door is free or the event building has paid parking.

Temple Clean-up
On the first Sunday of each month, we invite all Sangha members to come early to help clean the Temple before the weekly service. No contribution is too small, and every task helps to beautify and maintain our home away from home! No RSVP is necessary, and assignments are listed at the Temple entrance. We hope to see you there!
TOOOL NoVA Lockpicking Monthly Meeting @ Nova Labs Fairfax
Come join us at Nova Labs for our monthly lockpicking meeting! We meet every third Wednesday at the Nova Labs Fairfax location at 3850 Jermantown Road. Learn about locks, lockpicking, lock modifications, and even lock smithing in our classroom environment. No tools, skills, or knowledge required, but feel free to bring any of those things with you! Our meetings are overseen by one or more locksmiths.
