Un incontro introduttivo e pratico su Docker pensato per sviluppatori PHP/Laravel. Vedremo cos’è Docker, perché esiste e come può semplificare la vita nello sviluppo quotidiano eliminando il classico problema “ma sul mio computer funziona!”. Durante il talk esploreremo i concetti fondamentali (container, immagini, differenze rispetto alle VM) e analizzeremo vantaggi e svantaggi reali nell’uso quotidiano. Mostreremo poi un esempio concreto basato su un progetto Laravel, partendo da come si svilupperebbe senza Docker per arrivare a un setup containerizzato con Dockerfile e docker-compose, spiegando solo ciò che serve davvero. Chiuderemo con una breve demo delle configurazioni environment e alcuni takeaways chiave: non serve essere DevOps per usare Docker in modo efficace; l’obiettivo è semplificare, non complicare. Da una decina di anni, Dicembre e le sue feste vengono accompagnate dalla pubblicazione degli *Advent of Code* : venticinque rompicapo a tema natalizio che permettono di allenarsi e migliorarsi su vari aspetti dello sviluppo software. **Calling all queer crochet enthusiasts;** I am a visual artist located in Columbus that is searching for people who may want to gather while also participating in creating a piece of artwork. **Doing KPIs Right: a KEY to Analytics (and AI!) Impact!** On the one hand, KPIs are such a Business 101 concept that it may seem a little silly to dedicate an entire session to the topic. On the other hand, KPIs get handled so poorly so often that a case could be made that this meetup could just be one of the most impactful sessions of the entire year!
