Les reunions són sobre les nostres pròpies filosofies de la vida i no necessàriament el que els grans filòsofs i acadèmics han dit o escrit. No és un club de debat ni una plataforma per fer proselitisme. En canvi, posem èmfasi en qüestionar, tenir una mentalitat oberta i desafiar les nostres pròpies suposicions mentre escoltem i respectem les opinions compartides per altres persones. Una reunió de Sòcrates Cafè es considera un èxit quan els participants surten de la discussió amb moltes més preguntes de les que tenien al principi. **QUINS TEMES ES DISCUTEIXEN A LES REUNIONS?** Els participants suggereixen temes al principi de cada reunió. Després votem i triem el tema més popular per discutir-lo. No és necessària una formació acadèmica en filosofia; només es requereix entusiasme per intercanviar idees i punts de vista. Alguns exemples de temes escollits a reunions anteriors: \- Per quins ideals val la pena morir? \- Per què mai estem satisfets? \- Per què els éssers humans estem informats que la societat va malament i els líders també estan ben informats\, i no obstant això les coses continuen igual? \- És necessària la identitat? \- Quin és el preu ètic i l'avarícia? \- Què és la postveritat? \- Com és possible que les persones a les societats democràtiques estiguin tan obsessionades pel poder? \(Desig de ser diferent\, millor\, més fort que els altres\)\. \- Què és l'amistat? **QUI POT PARTICIPAR EN AQUEST MEETUP?** Qualsevol persona és més que benvinguda a unir-se a les nostres trobades. Aquests events reuneixen persones de diferents orígens i cultures, tot i que no és obligatori tenir formació filosòfica. Els nostres participants habituals són persones que tenen desig d'una comprensió més profunda de si mateixos i del món. Persones que valoren el diàleg profund, honest i respectuós.

Primer encuentro de **mujeres fitness y bienestar** 🌿✨ La idea de este evento es conocernos, charlar y conectar con otras mujeres en Barcelona que comparten intereses similares: fitness, vida saludable, alimentación saludable y crecimiento personal. Nos reuniremos para tomar un **café, smoothie o brunch saludable** y hablar sobre entrenamiento, hábitos, bienestar y todo lo que nos ayuda a sentirnos mejor física y mentalmente. Este grupo está pensado principalmente para mujeres entre **25 y 33 años aproximadamente**, que quieran rodearse de personas con mentalidad positiva y estilo de vida saludable. Será un encuentro relajado para conocernos, compartir experiencias y empezar a crear una pequeña comunidad de mujeres con intereses similares. Si te gusta el fitness, cuidarte y conectar con otras mujeres con buena energía, ¡este grupo es para ti!

Realizamos Taichi al aire libre aún asi solicitamos que debido al CoViD cada participante decida libremente y se responsabilice de las medidas que desee tomar respecto a la situación sanitaria actual El Taichi es una arte marcial basado en la filosofía taoísta y en su visión del universo, que además de fomentar habilidades marciales, ayuda a mejorar la salud, la conciencia corporal y puede ser un camino para el desarrollo personal y espiritual de los que lo practican. Este arte marcial es diferente a la mayoría de las que podáis conocer. Mientras otras se basan en la fuerza y la potencia el Taichí es una respuesta a la pregunta: ¿Por qué combatir la fuerza bruta con más fuerza cuando es posible aprovechar la de tu adversario? Si estas pinceladas os llaman la atención podéis venir a conocer el Taichi de forma gratuita, cada domingo de manos del Sifu Albert Sala. Las clases son de 9 a 10:30 de la mañana en el parque situado al final del Carrer Lleida delante del recinto llamado “El mercat de les flors” (cerca de las paradas de metro “Plaça Espanya” y “Poble Sec”). Somos razonables en la práctica del Taichi y os ayudaremos a no realizar prácticas que puedan provocaros un daño pero en última instancia cada participante es responsable de si mismo y os pedimos que nos comuniquéis problemas de salud o lesiones que pudiesen causaros perjuicio alguno. Además os repetimos que debéis velar de forma adulta y consciente de vuestro bienestar y por tanto os hacemos responsables en ultima instancia del mismo. We practice Taichi out in the open but been aware of CoViD we want for each practitioner to take the mesures to protect themselfs in the corrent situation the way they see fit under their own responsibility. Taichi is a martial art based in the Taoist philosophy and its vision of the universe, in addition to the improvement of the martial skills of its practitioners, helps to enhance their health, their body awareness, and also can be a path for their personal and spiritual growth. This martial art is set apart from the majority of the other ones you may know. Other martial arts are based in strength and muscle power, but Taichi is instead an answer to the question: ¿Why fight strength with strength when you could use their power against them? If these bits have caught your attention you can come to know Taichi for free, all Sundays taught by Sifu Albert Sala. The lessons start at 9:00 am and run throught 10:30 am in the parc that is at Lleida Street (Carrer Lleida) in front of the building called “El mercat de les flors” (It’s near de subway stations of Plaça Espanya and Poble Sec). We encorage a rational training of Taichi and will help you to prevent posible injuries in its practice. But you have to be conscius and responsable of yourself so we ask of you to comunicate with us any posible health problems or injuries that may be bring harm to you during training. However you have to be aware and concious of your well-being and therefore we hold you ultimately responsible for it.

So this month's prompt is more general. I think we can all agree that we are living in "unique" times that require coping skills. I think that one role and/or purpose of philosophy is to help us deal with our daily lives and our "unique" times. So, let's share our feelings and thoughts about which philosopher/philosophy we turn to in order to deal with our crazy events. Who/what helps you stay focused in your daily life and helps you sleep at night. I find that Stoicism with a little philosophical pessimism mixed in goes a long way in helping me deal with what I see as very destructive, fearful and mean spirited public policies at both the state and federal levels. We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!
