**Was euch erwartet**
1. Ankommen & Kennenlernen
2. EinfĂŒhrung & Praxis: *Sprechen & Zuhören* (Mehr Demokratie e.V.)
3. Austausch in kleiner Runde: Erfahrungen & Herausforderungen vor Ort
4. Gemeinsame Diskussion: Ideen zur Zusammenarbeit und Vernetzung

Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all types of work welcome)
Hello! Iâm organising a coworking + socialising session for all of us who are working on projects (e.g. our own creations, freelance or remote work) but don't feel like sitting alone at home. đ
To ensure that we have time for both socialising AND working, we will be using the so-called âPomodoroâ technique:
**50 mins deep work** (silent), followed by **10 mins break** to socialise. And then repeat!
You are welcome to join whatever your personal background is, and whatever project you are working on.
I (the host) speak English and German, so either language is fine.
ââââââââââââââââââ-
AGENDA:
* **Short Intro**
Tell us who you are and share something about what you will be working on today
* **Pomodoro Session** \- 3x \(3h\)
Each Pomodoro session consists of 50 mins focused âdeep workâ (no talking, no interruptions, **phones on silent mode**)
-> then 10 mins break: a chance to share your progress with others
-> Repeat
* **15 mins Wrap Up**
Celebrate what you achieved and get to know others đ
ââââ
The location is **Espresso House near Checkpoint Charlie** (they have multiple outlets - so be sure to go to the correct one!)
Wifi + power plugs are available - but best to bring a fully charged laptop, just in case đ
You **do not** have to pay anything. But since we are using the café space, it is common courtesy to buy at least one drink (coffee costs roughly **4 Euros**).

Meditation for the City by August Shells - part of Vorspiel festival
Meditation for the City is a live audiovisual performance engaging breath, attention, and stillness under conditions of constant acceleration.
Digitally processed natural imagery meets live acoustic sound. Together, they form a temporary situation in which bodies can slow down. As recovery. As escape. As a way of noticing what continuous stimulation and extraction tend to suppress.
One part of the performance takes the form of a guided breathing meditation, structured through rhythm and sound. Elsewhere, guidance recedes. Attention is left open.
Meditation is approached here not as a private technique, but as a collective and material practice. One shaped by social and economic conditions. Slowness is not neutral. It is a prerequisite for reflection on how nervous systems are organized, how exhaustion becomes normal, and how ways of living settle into the body.
âââ No prior experience with meditation is required. Seating will be available. Visitors are welcome to bring their own yoga mats or cushions if they wish.
âââ August Shells is an ongoing research-based art practice by Maciej Kodzis, blending visual art, sound, and ecological philosophy.

LSLab Berlin 10.1: How do we collaborate when there are differences?
### **We are excited to be kicking off our first LSLab Berlin at DKB CodeFactory!**
## **Our Theme: How do we collaborate & unite when there are differences?**
We all work with groups and teams of people these days to accomplish our goals. No one works alone. Sometimes there is great collaboration, and sometimes, it just doesn't work. Maybe there are conflicting goals, roles, timelines, or culture clashes. Sometimes it's obvious, and sometimes it isn't. We want to explore in as many ways as possible, using Liberating Structures, what can we do about creating better ways of working together? What are some things that have worked (or not!), to bring better collaboration to the work you do (and the team you do it with)?
## **Our Host**
Weâre thrilled to return to **DKB,** and excited to see a new space: The CodeFactory.
## **Important Notes**
**âïž About the format**
Each event includes Networking & Connecting, Giving and Getting Help and Action Planning. We donât debrief during the session â on purpose.
LSLab is a practice space that mirrors real-work application: learning through doing, engaging, and experimenting.
Questions are welcome during the break and after the close.
**âïž New to Liberating Structures? Totally fine.**
You donât need any prior experience.
Weâre a community of practitioners at all levels â beginners, experienced facilitators, agilists, OD/L&D folks, and people simply looking for better ways to help humans collaborate.
Youâll learn by participating, not by being taught.
\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*
### **A Volunteer-Run Community (Just Me Behind the Scenes)**
LSLab Berlin is a fully volunteer-run meet-up, organized and hosted by me (Sylvia Taylor).
Your donations help cover the essentials that keep this event accessible for everyone:
* the meet-up platform
* the behind-the-scenes coordination
* design team mentoring and support
* and the time and expertise it takes to create each session

FLOW Meditation (short session) - an active, fun & expansive auditory experience
FLOW Meditation - is an active, fun & expansive shared auditory experience
Schedule - After the buffet and News you can use at 21:00 we announce the meditation
21:45 â Head back to back room
22:00 - Session Start, explanation, warm up & first round - planting seeds & deepening the roots
23:00 - Closing, feedback, chill out
23:30 â End
Flow is a state of being⊠an experience when you allow yourself to be 100% fully engaged in the present moment in a feedback loop between clarity and satisfaction. It is an undeniable sensation where things seem to be more effortless, pleasurable, in sync, and you can easily sense a connection with something greater than yourself; this is what we will createâŠ:
âą a connected and mindful meditation where it is possible to blissfully surf the cutting edge of the present moment togetherâŠ
âą a game where itâs possible to feel excited and calm in the same moment, and everyone can win as much as they likeâŠ
Scott Bolden, founder of Das Baumhaus Berlin will share some very easy, practical and effective methods developed during the last 12 years of facilitating these sessions. Within 20 minutes participants learn to use the common sound space to create resonance in the form of improvisational music where it is quite common to experience some real flow momentsâŠ
All of the session is done with eyes closed to avoid visual distractions and keep focus on the co-created sound space.
âą no experience with meditation or music is needed to participate and enjoy

Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations.
If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!).
**HOW IT WORKS**
**Step 1: Bring a topic**
Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event.
**Step 2: Circle up & share**
We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds.
**Step 3: Walk, talk & float**
We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!"
**Step 4: Feel more alive**
Two hours flies by. You're back where you started â but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times.

**HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC**
A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about.
Recent topics include:
* "What are you passionate about right now?"
* "What makes a good friend?"
* "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?"
* "How do you want to be remembered?"
* "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?"
Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter.
**WHAT TO EXPECT**
This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.*
But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here.
**FAQ**
* Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk!
* We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space.
* We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space.
* Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know.
* Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome â please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic!
**LOGISTICS**
* If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event.
* This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs.
* Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details.
* If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. đ€ đ

Sip & Read: *Founder Edition* Meetup: "The 5AM Club" by Robin Sharma
Calling all founders, CEOs, lawyers, doctors, and entrepreneurs to join our special *Founder Edition* of Sip & Read meetup event. Let's sip on fine wine and discuss our first book **The 5AM Club- Own Your Morning Elevate Your Life, by Robin Sharma**. We will pair this book with our favorite wine at **Wine on High** and engage in thought-provoking discussions on startup businesses and entrepreneurship, and network with like-minded individuals in a cozy book club setting.
*The 5AM Club* by Robin Sharma explores how waking up early and following a structured morning routine can dramatically improve productivity, mindset, and overall life mastery. Through a blend of storytelling and practical frameworks, it teaches high performers how to build discipline, focus, and long-term success by owning the first hour of the day.
Come prepared to discuss this month's book. At the end of each book club meeting, we will take next book and venue suggestions from the participants for the next meeting.
Whether you are a book lover, women entrepreneur, or a content creator, this event is perfect for sharing ideas and insights with other funders and founders in the entrepreneurial world. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect, learn, and grow together. Sign up now to reserve your spot!
*Fun fact! This meetup was established in 2015 and had over 1,000 members. I had to shut down operations while attending law school, but we're back!!*
Self-Love: Confidence Through Expression
Confidence can be cultivated in many waysâthrough reflection, conversation, creativity, and practice. In this Confidence Lab session, weâll explore one powerful pathway: **building confidence from the inside out through physical expression and movement**.
This experience is designed to help you reconnect with your body as a source of insight, self-trust, and presence. Weâll begin by grounding into whatâs bringing you here, creating space to notice how your body is showing up and what itâs holding. From there, youâll be guided through accessible movement exercises that invite awareness and choiceâisolating different parts of the body, experimenting with movement, and practicing what it feels like to take up space intentionally.
Next, youâll participate in a small-group dance lesson led in a supportive, low-pressure environment. No dance experience is needed. The focus is not on performance or perfection, but on expression, curiosity, and allowing yourself to move with confidence as you are.
Weâll close with a reflective group discussion, exploring what emerged during the experience and how these insights can be applied beyond the studioâhow you inhabit your body, how you carry yourself, and how you show up in everyday life.
**What to know:**
* Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you feel good moving in
* No dance experience required
* Light snacks and beverages will be provided
This session is for anyone interested in deepening their relationship with confidence by listening to their body, expanding their capacity for self-expression, and practicing self-love as an embodied experience.

**What is Confidence Lab?**
Confidence Lab is a monthly community experience for bold, thoughtful leaders building confidence from the inside out. Whether youâre launching a business, leading a team, navigating change, or simply striving to show up more fullyâyou belong here.
Our work demands clarity, courage, and convictionâbut the pace of daily life can erode our sense of self. Confidence Lab creates space to reflect, reconnect, and grow with others doing purpose-driven work.
Itâs designed for entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, creatives, corporate professionals, activists, and anyone ready to lead with authenticity and impact.

THANK YOU: This CMG Gives Back event provides an opportunity for YOU to get involved in helping others! Benefits go well beyond the help we give to others. Humanist Community Celebrating Darwin Day
Dale Gnidovec, Curator of the Orton Hall Museum of Geology at The Ohio State University, will be presenting a program he has wanted to share with us for a long time: Plate Tectonics. His description of his program:
Continents on the move - Nothing in Earth history makes sense without moving continents - it tells us why mountains, volcanoes, minerals, and fossils are where they are. This talk examines the evidence for continental drift, why it was disbelieved, and explains how the more-encompassing theory of plate tectonics was developed and eventually proven. Dale is an energetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and very entertaining speaker and this will be another wonderful program by Dale. Hope to see you there!
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online
