Hearts United: Novena & Fellowship (Catholic Singles 30-45)
You're warmly invited to join **Hearts United** for a special afternoon of **prayer, connection, and community** with fellow Catholics (30-45yo). We highly encourage you to attend the **12:00pm Novena Devotion**, centering our hearts in prayer and reflection. Afterward, we’ll gather for an hour of relaxed **fellowship and mingling** — a chance to meet like-minded individuals who share your faith, values, and life stage. We’ll conclude our time with a **closing prayer**, lifting up the intentions of our group and giving thanks for the new friendships being formed.
**Schedule:**
✝️ 12.00pm – Novena Devotion (attend at your own pace)
😄 12.30pm – Fellowship & Mingle (see comment below for location)
🙏 1.30pm – Closing Prayer
💬 **After-Novena Conversations**
Let’s take a moment after the Novena to unwind, share our thoughts, and enjoy each other’s company. There’s no set agenda — just friendly conversations about faith, life, and everything in between. If you’re not sure where to begin, here are a few ideas to get things flowing:
🌿 **Faith & Reflection Topics**
* What do you find most meaningful about attending the Novena?
* What part of today’s homily spoke to you personally?
* What helps you stay close to your faith when life gets busy?
☕ **Personal Growth & Connection Topics**
* What qualities do you value most in friendship or community?
* How do you like to spend your weekends or free time?
* What’s something new you’ve tried recently or would like to learn?
💬 **Light & Fun Conversation Starters**
* What are your hobbies or interests?
* What’s your go-to comfort food after church?
* If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Whether you're new to the group or a returning friend, we look forward to seeing you there! Please feel free to introduce **Hearts United** to friends whom you know would be a great fit for this community.
**With faith and friendship, *Hearts United***

### What’s the Plan?
We’re going Round Robin style, which is just a nice way of saying you’ll keep playing and meeting new people until your arms fall off.
#### 🎮 What’s the Game Plan?
Here’s how the courts are split:
🎾 **1 Beginner Court** (*For newcomers or those preferring a relaxed pace*)
* Learning court lines, scoring, and basic rules.
* Can sustain short rallies and demonstrate basic strokes but still working on consistency.
🏅 **1 Intermediate Court**
* Solid consistency, mid-pace rallies
* Shot placement is improving, but still work-in-progress
* Great for those ready to level up
🏆 **Official Tournament Balls:**
All games will be played using **Franklin X-40 tournament balls** for consistency and a high-quality playing experience.
**Paddle Queue System:** To keep things fair, players will place their paddles in line in box to indicate their turn in the respective court.
**Rules of the Game**:
* **Switch It Up**: After every match, you’ll get a new partner and new opponents.
* **Scoring**: First to 15 points, rally style (no need to keep track of who’s serving—so much simpler lah).
* **Timing**: Each match is capped at 15 minutes, so don’t peng san trying to win.
* **Be Nice**: Keep it friendly—this isn’t the SEA Games, okay?
***
### **Why You’ll Love It:**
* Play with a variety of kakis and test your skills.
* End the day with new friends and maybe a snack after.
***
**What to Bring:**
* Your paddle (or rent one—we’re not judging).
* Water bottle—don’t faint halfway
* Your best “aiyah nvm” attitude when the ball goes sideways.
🔔 **Friendly Reminder:**
Pickleball is a social and physical activity, please be mindful of your own safety and physical limits. Participation is at your own risk. Stay hydrated, warm up properly, and don’t paiseh to rest if you need to. 💪
