Board Games & Gaming Consoles @ Yo Mana (10-20 attendees)
Board Games & Gaming Consoles @ Yo Mana (10-20 attendees)
🎮 Even though it is not an event held by us, we're thrilled by the fantastic board game nights and the vibrant gaming community of Yo Mana! With an impressive collection of **100+ board games and access to game consoles like PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch**, this is a gaming paradise. 💰 To support the community and help cover the rent, there's a **5€ participation fee**. It would be the easiest for you to bring it in cash. Trust us, it is a modest fee considering the hours of enjoyment and the variety of games at your disposal. 📅 **Check out their [website](www.yomana.ee)**! They have a Discord channel and many other events happening. Just scroll down on the website to see the calendar. Also also, there's a recurring [Facebook event](https://facebook.com/events/s/wednesday-board-games-yo-mana-/967419134491734/) for these Wednesdays. **💬** Because **we're not the organizers of these events**, for any specific inquiries or additional information please reach out to Yo Mana through the contacts on their website.
Last-Minute Private NYE in Old Town – International Employees (30+ attendees)
Last-Minute Private NYE in Old Town – International Employees (30+ attendees)
**👋 Hosts** (also available on Messenger): * [Markus/Milder](https://www.linkedin.com/in/markusmilder/) (founder of Daily Meetups) First off, I believe **announcing something only an hour before** the event is my new personal record. Then again, I've been away from hosting (Daily Meetups in general) so I hope you can cut me some slack, as the idea was fairly last-minute. 👉 **If you are/were at a company with at least 100 people (in Estonia)** and came here to work from abroad, here's an invite to celebrate NYE together in a **cosy apartment in the Old Town**. Expect **30+ international employees** from **companies listed in the footer**, and a few Estonian friends of mine in my personal VIPE list (Very Inclusive Person/Estonian) 😉 🎥 [2-min clip explaining the idea](https://youtube.com/shorts/MK460doNDFQ?feature=share) behind these private events that bring together employees across companies. *** ## 🔐 How to join / get on the list? ### 1\. Get in touch \(required\) Message me on [my ](https://www.linkedin.com/in/markusmilder/)**[LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/markusmilder/)**. Or email if you don’t use LinkedIn: meetupsdaily@gmail.com ### 2\. LinkedIn invite\-only event I’ll invite you to a **private LinkedIn event**, which includes: * All practical info (time, place, access) * A **walkthrough video of the venue** * Answers to common FAQ (based parties 3 years ago) * See **who else is attending** ### 3\. Private WhatsApp group This is currently the best way to stay fully informed on **parties, dinners, movie nights** with three screens in sync and the rest. On **Sunday evenings**, I’m **adding newcomers** across companies to an invite-only WhatsApp group. I personally moderate it so that it stays **strictly about bringing people together** — nothing else. I've been lucky that there have been helpful people to step in as admins these 2 years that I've been away. I'm not gonna change anything about the Daily Meetups chats that successfully continue to run. But my sole focus is still to make sure you have a great time in Tallinn, for as long as you are here. **Which is why the chats I moderate inherit that same purpose** — they exist purely to bring people together. Unless stated otherwise, of course 🙂 *** ## 🇪🇪 Bringing Estonians into the mix The one aspect I feel like I haven't done a good job at is **bringing my fellow Estonians into the mix**, and I want to work toward that. Which is why I’ll also be inviting a small number of friends to these events. *Even if* they are not necessarily employees of the listed companies. These are the people I know to be: * Outgoing (especially in English) 😄🌍✈️ * Most have **studied and/or worked abroad** * Comfortable bridging locals and internationals * Good at setting the tone in a room 😄🙌 (so I wouldn't have to ) I’ve coined this the **VIPE list** — **Very Inclusive Person / Estonian**. Being in that VIPE list simply means that they are someone I trust to be welcoming — regardless of whether they’re attending as an employee at one of the companies, my friend, or a friend of a friend. Someone who actively **helps make the evening better** for everyone. Rather than just dropping in to drink my liquor, charge their phone, and disappear into a corner with the same people they already know. At some point, I’ll also be creating a **VIP list** 😎 **Very Inclusive Person** — for **internationals** I know and trust, who are likewise not necessarily employees but help me with creating a great experience. Especially by **welcoming all the newcomers** who have just arrived to these private events. This isn’t about status or hierarchy — it’s simply a way for me to make sure the mix of people I’ve brought together actually works, and that everyone feels welcome from the get-go. In a nutshell, I’m looking for **people who help carry the social load a little** 😄 *** ## 🥃 Drinks, cocktails & how this works Feel free to bring your own, but there will also be **a couple hundred euros’ worth of drinks** already there: * Glögg * Red wine * Gin * Whiskey * And some bubbly we’ll promptly pop 🥂 (prosecco, cava, etc.) I’ll be **making cocktails** throughout the night, so just let me know your favorite: Whiskey sour? Negroni? Something else? You can also make **coffee or tea**, and there will be a **bare minimum of snacks**. (we’ll save proper food experiences for dinners.) *** ## 💸 Costs & accountability I started **Daily Meetups \~3 years ago with more private events**, and many of those are still among my **best memories** — for attendees *and* for me. That said, there’s a reason I stepped back from hosting those so often: > Each event used to cost me \~200€ out of pocket — mostly because I was making Whiskey Sours and pouring glögg for **6 hours straight** 😅 So for this NYE: * Please **bring some cash**, *or* * Make a **transfer the next day** (easier for me to keep track) * **Amount is up to you**, based on how was it 😎👌 * I'm happy to make cocktails, but not count how many you’ve had **PS:** This is also why this is an **invite-only event with a confirmed list**. Being on the list creates just enough **social accountability** so: * Mindful of how much you drink * Everyone behaves responsibly (towards the place & people) * I don’t have to worry — and can actually have a great time with you *** ## 🤔 Why LinkedIn? 1. **Verification** — to confirm you are / were employed at one of the listed companies 2. **Curation** — your profile helps me invite you to the *right* dinners, parties and other gatherings. **Meet the people you want to meet.** * Something in common — the more you have to talk about, less "moderating" I have to do as host * Enough with the team building events with the same people you spend most of your day with — how about I bring you together with **other internationals** **in the same company**, and Estonians? Who you barely get to meet outside the office, but would definitely hit it off with. *** ## 📣 Sharing & +1s * Feel free to **share this event in your company Slack** * Anyone joining **must still message me on LinkedIn** to be added * **+1s** are allowed, but I do need their **names in advance** * Totally cool if you won't make it in the end, but I will only let you in if you **hit RSVP on LinkedIn before the event starts** (*and* message me your +1s). *** ## ⚠️ Important **Only people on the LinkedIn attendee list are allowed in. The invite-only event that I invite you to after you've messaged me there** 🙂 No exceptions. *** ## ✅ TL;DR — How to join 1️⃣ Message me on LinkedIn (or email): 👉 [https://www.linkedin.com/in/markusmilder/](https://www.linkedin.com/in/markusmilder/) 📧 meetupsdaily@gmail.com 2️⃣ Get invited to the **private LinkedIn event** with all details 3️⃣ Share your phone number → get added to the **invite-only WhatsApp group** on Sunday evening *** ### Companies represented so far ABB, Adcash, Azolver, Bank of Estonia, Boku, Bolt, Cognizant, Coinspaid, Coolbet, Coop Bank, Eesti Energia, EKA, Elisa, Enefit, Ericsson, Eurora, Genius Sports, Glia, Google, Hopper, Hotjar, Inbank, Insly, Kuehne+Nagel, Linde, Luminor Group, Microsoft, Monese, Nordea, Nortal, Onoff Telecom, Paxful, Pipedrive, SEB Pank, Skeleton Technologies, Sportradar, Starship, Swedbank, Tallinn European School, Tallinn University, TalTech, Telia, Testlio, Toptal, Veriff, Wise, Wolt, Yolo Group *(If your company should be on the list, message me on LinkedIn.)* \*\*\* 📲 **Keep up with all of our events!** Join our[ WhatsApp chat](https://chat.whatsapp.com/E3pRDHy2IwrAXfLc6YHmCv), ask us for an invitation to the Facebook chat or follow us on social media. 🗓️ **We have meetups happening almost every day** of the week! Friday Bible Study (in English)
Friday Bible Study (in English)
To all locals, expats, and visitors in Tallinn, welcome! My wife and I are delighted to invite you to study the Word of God with us every Friday at 5:30 p.m. in a casual setting, accompanied by coffee and tea. We believe the Bible is entirely true, and we strive to live by its teachings. We also believe that the love of God is so powerful that it can touch hearts and heal what's broken in all of us. Let's study Christianity together to help you find answers to questions like: * What is the meaning of life? * How do I deal with difficult situations? * Who is God, and what is the Trinity? * How can Jesus Christ help me? * How can I forgive and treat others with love? Please join us or reach out if you have any questions! The meetups are in English.
