JOIN US! Moon Over Buffalo comedy
JOIN US! Moon Over Buffalo comedy
Please read all details: Join us for the opening night of the Music and Drama Club's production of the ***Moon Over Buffalo***. This is the theater group sponsored by the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MAD. Continue scrolling to see plot description, ticket prices, link and venue. **Plot description**: Ken Ludwig’s ***Moon over Buffalo*** is a comedy about a husband-and-wife acting duo, George and Charlotte Hay, who are performing in repertory in Buffalo, New York in 1953. Their careers are on the brink of disaster when they learn that famous film director Frank Capra might be coming to see their show, giving them a potential last chance at Hollywood stardom. However, everything that can go wrong does go wrong. With slamming doors, mistaken identities and costume malfunctions, this hilarious play has all of the classic elements of a farce. Parental Guidance suggested: some material may not be suitable for children. (Scroll down). A live musical cabaret will entertain us as we gather and socialize before the play begins. The play begins at 7p.m. I've listed the start time as **6:30 in order to get seats together** and listen to the cabaret. **Prices:** There's a $4.00 Discount on Opening Weekend Regular prices are: $22 for adults, $20 for seniors (60+)/military, $12 for children/students/interns **[https://madtheater.org/](https://madtheater.org/)** and click "Tickets on Sale now!" link. **Venue Location:** The Barney and Bea Recreation Center 9998 Good Luck Rd, Glenn Dale, MD 20771 **Why parental guidance?** Because the humor depends on marital strife, an extramarital affair, alcohol abuse played for comedy, and suggestive farce situations—plus sharp arguing and rough physical antics—many theaters and schools choose to post a content note so parents can decide if it fits their expectations for their children’s maturity level. Theodore Roosevelt Island Hike/Walk + Lunch in Roslyn
Theodore Roosevelt Island Hike/Walk + Lunch in Roslyn
Come join the Arlington Jaycees outside in the spring weather at Theodore Roosevelt Island! The island provides several flat, beginner friendly hiking (more like walking) trails around a beautiful nature preserve, and includes several monuments and historical markers to see along the way. Come on by to meet new friends, meet the Jaycees, mingle, and maybe even learn something about old Teddy himself. We will plan to meet at the entrance of the Roslyn Metro at 11am. From there it's about a 15 minute walk to the start of the trails across the pedestrian bridge/bike path. If you plan to drive, there is a parking lot available next to the trailhead that you can meet us at. We'll plan to spend about 2 hours there and then return to Roslyn for lunch! If you show up late or are having trouble finding us, feel free to message us directly in the chat or post in the comments and we will respond asap.

These Meetups are co-ed, super laid back, and all skill levels are welcome. Post your skill level and a suggested court in the comments section so we can round up as many players as we can for some tennis fun! Also, if you’re looking to meet new practice partners or play some matches and you aren’t already in the PlayYourCourt Community, you can go here to see what we’re all about and sign up: https://www.playyourcourt.com/tennis-community/gaithersburg-md/meetup/ If you love tennis, we’d love to have you! Connected Westerville Night of Networking!
Connected Westerville Night of Networking!
**Connected Westerville Night of Networking** *April Edition: The Introduction Economy* You've been to the networking events. You've done the small talk. Collected the cards. Forgotten the names. And walked out feeling like you just wasted two hours of your life. The problem isn't you. It's the format. Most networking events put you in a room and tell you to figure it out. So everyone defaults to elevator pitches and business talk, and nothing real gets built. Here's the truth about networking that most people miss: Your network isn't just who you know. It's who thinks of you when they're talking to someone else. *That's* The Introduction Economy. And it only works when relationships are real. There's a reason people who come once keep coming back. It starts with seven minutes that feel nothing like networking. Then we open it up. Free networking. More conversations. More momentum. This is a room full of corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, creatives, and career builders in the Westerville and Columbus area. The mix is the magic. You might never do business with everyone you meet tonight. But someone in this room will think of *you.* **By name**. So, the next time someone needs exactly what you do, you get the recommendation. **April 14th. RSVP now.** **When:** Tuesday\, April 14th \| 6:15 PM \-\- 8:00 PM **Where:** Vineyard Community Center \| 6000 Cooper Rd\, Westerville\, OH 43081
