* Was tust du für deinen Körper? Rita

They Call it Belly Dance
They Call it Belly Dance
**They Call it Belly Dance** with ***Andrea Fahed*** for **LGBTQIA+ Queer Migrants** **[Free event with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/queer-bridges-monday/w23-2026)** 🔵 Often called “belly dance,” this form is known in its cultural contexts as Raqs Sharqi, Baladi, Hishik Bishik, among others. Rooted in rituals, social gatherings, and performance traditions, it carries a rich history that has been both celebrated and misunderstood. This workshop invites queer migrant and allies to explore foundational movements and rhythms and engage in guided improvisation. Alongside the physical practice, we will reflect on the form’s origins, history, and myths, reclaiming it from reductive and colonial narratives. **Queer Bridges: Forging connections and providing resources for LGBTQIA+ people with experiences of migration and/or displacement.** Queer people with experiences of migration and/or displacement in Berlin often face unique challenges in their daily lives that can limit their access to supportive communities and inclusive environments. With the support of the **Deutsche Fernsehlotterie Stiftung**, we have developed the Queer Bridges program to overcome these barriers. We provide resources, networking and support in a welcoming environment for queer immigrants and refugees through our special program. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging to the local LGBTQIA+ community, enabling smooth integration and an improved quality of life for queer folks with experiences of migration and/or displacement. ✅ Our **Queer Bridges** program will continue to evolve and we are always happy to hear about your needs. If you are interested, you can send us an e-mail to stay informed about further updates. **General Information** **Participants**: This workshop is for all who identify as LGBTQ+ and have experienced migration and/or displacement. If you don’t share these experiences but are interested in joining please reach out to us first to see if space is available. We ask that all participants respect the program’s core focus and contribute to fostering an open respectful space. **Registration**: This event has limited spots available. Registration through our website is therefore required. **Language**: English every language is welcome. **Cost:** The event is free of charge.

From the very beginning, I have immersed myself in a spiritual women’s group, which has been a profound source of support and growth. Yoga and Tantra Yoga have brought incredible balance, harmony, and a deeper understanding of myself, truly transforming my life. Throughout my journey with the traditional integral Yoga system, I’ve learned practical ways to bring calm and balance into daily life, even in challenging times. Completing my Tantra Yoga for Women Instructor Training was a turning point, as it allowed me to blossom in ways I hadn’t thought possible. Being surrounded by a nurturing sisterhood showed me the immense power of women uplifting one another, and I now feel called to share this path with other women who seek similar transformation. In this **Tantra Yoga for Women** group, I am excited to lead you through these teachings, helping you connect deeply with your feminine energy and support your blossoming into fullness and joy. Together, we’ll create a safe and sacred space where you can embrace your own potential, find balance, and build bonds with a supportive community of women. NVC & Boundaries
NVC & Boundaries
**NVC & BOUNDRIES** ***Weekend Workshop*** What a delicate human moment it is — the one in which someone says or receives a “no.” “Can we make love?” — No. “Would you like to go for a coffee with me?” — No. “Would you like to work together?” — No. It takes such vulnerability to voice a request — to courageously share your heart and its dreams. And it takes just as much courage to stay true to yourself, not to please the other at the cost of your own authenticity. So often we end up saying *yes* when we actually mean *no* — because we’re afraid of losing connection, or because “it’s the right thing to do.” This weekend is an exploration of those delicate moments — their depth, their vulnerability, and the dynamics they reveal. We’ll begin by discovering our own boundaries and what truly matters to us, since so much confusion and pain arise when we don’t even know where our boundaries are. We’ll learn to say *no* in a way that is authentic, safe, and connecting. We’ll learn how to receive a *no* without betraying the vulnerability that comes with it. We’ll learn how to transform the moment of giving or receiving a *no* from a wall into the beginning of a meaningful dialogue — one where *you can be you, and I can be me*, together. “Words are windows, or they’re walls.” — *Marshall Rosenberg* **Teaching Style** Expect minimum 50-70% practice and exercises, demonstrations and other interactive ways to engage, and the rest it’s gonna be theory. **When?** 6 -7 June 2026 Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 - 17:30 **Daily schedule:** **Saturday** Arrival: From 9:30 Morning Workshop / Practice space: 10-13 Lunch: 13 - 14:15 Afternoon Workshop / Practice space: 14:15 - 17:30 **Sunday** Arrival: From 9:30 Morning Workshop / Practice space: 10-13 Lunch: 13 - 14:15 Afternoon Workshop / Practice space: 14:15 - 16:00 Financial Co-Responsibility Circle: 16:15 - 17:30 Goodbyes: Until 18:30 We’ll have organic breaks to support us through the schedule. **Where?** Braschzeile 12-14, 14109 Berlin (Wannsee). For this 2 days workshop, we’ll be able to gather in the privacy and calmness of a house in Wannsee. A large garden with solemn old trees offers the grounding and space needed to gently move into the vulnerability to meet ourselves and each other at our boundaries and in the pain of where they’ve been crossed. *It’s possible to sleep on site for a limited amount of people, priority it’s given to who comes from out of town.* **Experience**: No previous experience it’s required, everyone is welcome. The exercises will allow deepening the NVC practice even when you already have experience with it. **Who is this for?** Space is limited to a group of 14 people. As we want to create a safe container to also explore our hurting parts, we would prefer people to join for the full weekend flow. If you can’t join the whole thing contact us and we’ll see if it’s fitting for you to join only one day or a part of the workshop. **Price?** This event is neither charged, nor free. We’re intending to create/ to play with a conscious systems-based approach to money and how it flows in between humans. We want resources to flow towards serving & nourishing life. As we are co-creating learning, developmental and healing spaces we want to care for what’s needed for people to attend as well as for what’s needed so that we can continue to co-create such spaces. That’s why we’ll offer two systems of distributing (monetary) resources in between the people present in an attempt to make this event financially sustainable for everyone. **About the food** Lunches will be prepared in advance, let us know of any special food allergies **Register** To register, please fill [this form](https://forms.gle/2Dwkhm9JfM2WEPKv6). **YOUR FACILITATORS** **Martina Pesce** Hi, I'm Martina. I came in contact with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) through a relationship where I started to grasp the beauty of this tool. After 3 years of self-study and occasional practice, I was touched by how this communication allowed me to connect with my mum in conflict, so strongly that I felt love for her for the first time in 20 years. Unsatisfied with the lack of mental health support in the neuroscience research field, I decided to switch careers and dive deep into NVC. I trained as a mediator, counsellor and trainer at the Connecting2life school (Yoram Mosenzon). It was a two-year-long process of embodying the tool and then learning how to transmit it so that it could sink in the body. For a year I've been holding my workshops, courses and 1:1 practice. My approach is based on practice and embodiment. I found NVC very revolutionary and with that respect, I like to let sink in our system a few bits of info at the time, rather than an overwhelming waterfall of theory. **Matthias Flury** Hi. My name is Matthias. To be honest with you, I’m incredibly hesitant to write this short biography about myself. Part of the resistance comes from a fear of not being enough - it’s an insecurity that often comes alive since for many years of my life my need for connection wasn’t met, no matter what I tried. Out of this experience I’m shy to show and present myself, even to an unknown reader, to not go through the pain of rejection again. Another source for this hesitation is that I’ve got an idea of how I need to present myself here as a teacher. “I need to sell myself well and in a way that will make you trust me and curious to learn from me”. And I’m worried that I’ll try to perform as something I’m not in order to achieve that. Underneath the pressure of trying to be perfect I’m certain I’ll lose something incredibly important. I’ll lose connection to myself and with that any hope of actually contributing value to you. That’s why I’ll start this introduction of myself like this. I’m looking forward to meeting you and exploring together how we can connect to our feelings and unknown desires. How we can hold space and lovingly meet each other exactly where we are in our authentic selves. This is the place where relationships gain intimacy and depth, where love grows and where life begins to make sense. Just in case you actually want to know about my background: I started learning about NVC in 2019, took my first lessons with Empathie Stadt Zurich in 2020, and completed my education in 2023 with a course about teaching and embodying NVC by CNVC-Trainer Yoram Mosenzon. I regularly support NVC-teachers as an assistant in their courses and occasionally teach myself. If you have any questions you can reach me at [matthias.flury@mail.ch](mailto:matthias.flury@mail.ch).

You talk about it and feel a little better, but it never goes away. After you hang up the phone, it's still there; the sadness, the cloud, the over-thinking, the worry, the guilt. You try to focus, but you're blocked. You try to look forward into new experiences, new relationships but a cloud is hanging over you, casting a shadow on what you once considered a bright, cheerful future. What happened to your courage? Your strength of character? You're 'why not' attitude? Whoever said 'time heals' must have had a special time machine, because after weeks, months, years, you're wondering - when exactly does that kick in? Sometimes it seems like drinking or drugs are the way to go. But they wear off, and now the problem is still there with added side effects from the drugs. At this free local Meetup event we will talk about: * What causes grief, anxiety and depression to become chronic. * Is it possible to regain your joy and happiness even after traumatic experiences? * How to break away from negativity and focus on the future * What are the steps to take to get control of your mind and your emotions? Learn about a safe, gentle, do-it-yourself counseling that can be done in the comfort of your own home. Let's explore safe, effective solutions for healing from traumatic experiences. Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few. How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again. So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that. Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
This is a free, in person meeting. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship. Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action? Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships! Break free from self imposed limitations Here we will discuss: • How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes. • Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you? • Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it? • Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love? • Fights & arguments - what's really behind them? • What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others? • How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change? • Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them? • How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about? • How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career? Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general. Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person. Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life. We look forward to having you join us! This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
