📍 Calle Enric Morera 65, L’Hospitalet

Si no, no passa res.
Let's go see the latest film by the American filmmaker at the Zumzeig cinema.
The director of films as notable as "My Own Private Idaho," "Drugstore Cowboy," and "Last Days," has just released a new film that some critics have described as "a lucid and subversive portrait of the class struggle" (Diari Ara).
Let's meet half an hour earlier for a quick coffee, and at 16:15 PM we will enter the theater. After the screening, anyone who wants to, can have a drink and discuss about the movie.
Since the theater is small, it is advisable to buy the ticket in advance. You can purchase the ticket on the Cinemes Zumzeig website. I am in Row 5, Seat 1, in case you want to buy seats in the same row. If not, that's fine.
If you cannot come, please notify at leaast 1 hour in advance. If you sign up and do not show up, it counts as a No Show. 2 No Shows will result in the removal of your account from the group.
Si no podeu venir, aviseu amb una antelació mínima d'1 hora, si us plau. Si us apunteu i no apareixeu, suposa un No Show. 2 No Shows suposen l'eliminació del vostre compte del grup.

It is for anyone of any age, however!
She will be joined in conversation by author and journalist Priya Joi.

Coffee Connections
A casual (but coordinated) coffee break to meet new friends, take a Zoom break, and get your AM caffeine fix.
Stop by for a few minutes or stay the whole time. Bring a friend or wander in solo. Come for the coffee and company, or just bring a book to read while surrounded by other in-real-life, community-seeking humans. Come by every Friday, or just when you happen to be in town. Make it whatever you need it to be that week. It's not an \*event\* per se, but we hope these Friday meet-ups can become a fixture of the bookshop!
Gathering spot will be in the downstairs area of the bookshop (near the Community Library). Coffee and tea are 1.50€ and can be purchased at the cash register upstairs. Find more info on our Instagram (@backstorybookshop) or website (www.backstorybookshop.com).

Unknown Number: The High School Catfish
A very unusual choice for his group... Unknown Number: High School Catfish is an American [true crime](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_crime "True crime") documentary film directed by [Skye Borgman](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skye_Borgman "Skye Borgman") and released to [streaming](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streaming_media "Streaming media") on [Netflix](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netflix "Netflix") on August 29, 2025.
The documentary explores the events and investigation into an unknown person [cyberbully](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberbullying "Cyberbullying") and [harassing](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harassment "Harassment") teenagers in [Beal City, Michigan](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beal_City,_Michigan "Beal City, Michigan") using an unknown number via insults and sexual claims. It also explores the increasingly great impact of the harassment on the community, the eventual reveal of the culprit, and the trial that followed.
IMPORTANT INFO: I strongly suggest not reading anything about it online before seeing it. It's best viewed with no previous knowledge. This documentary contains crude terminology and deals with cyberbullying, which may be a trigger for some folks.
PLEASE NOTE - WE ARE STARTING AT 6:30, WHICH IS THIRTY MINUTES EARLIER THAN USUAL.
April Book Club Meetup
Welcome, readers!
Our April read is **_Martyr!_ by Kaveh Akbar.**
The story follows a young Iranian American poet grappling with grief, addiction, and the aching question of what makes a life meaningful. Drawn into an unexpected friendship with a terminally ill artist, he begins to confront faith, love, and the seduction of self-destruction. Lyrical, darkly funny, and emotionally piercing, the novel wrestles with beauty and despair in equal measure. It’s a story about longing—to be seen, to be forgiven, and to matter.
Looking forward to discussing with everyone!
We will meet at Zaftig Brewing Co in their event room in the back. We are welcome to bring in our own food, but **drinks must be purchased at the bar.**
Happy reading! 📖
