Authentic Relating & Circling with Sophie and Marco
Authentic Relating & Circling with Sophie and Marco
**Authentic Relating & Circling with Sophie and Marco** Come and connect and learn the powerful practices of Authentic Relating and Circling. We normally do about a half-hour of Authentic Relating in paired-shares, followed by Circling in up to two breakouts, usually rejoining the large group at the end. However the program will change according to the experience of the participants at each event. If you are not familiar with Authentic Relating & Circling, you can read Marco's book on the [Circling Guide](https://circlingguide.com) website. All events are beginner-friendly and no prior experience is necessary. If all goes well, you will feel that this is what you have been doing your whole life, and all you ever wanted was to be with people who share this way of being! **PS:** **don't look at Meetup RSVP's, as this event is advertised through multiple channels. We hope to see you there!* **\*\*Agreements & Terms of Service (Please read)\*\*** **Authentic Relating and Circling is not therapy**. People encounter states, emotions, beliefs, and sensations in themselves and others which can be difficult. We explore the unknown, the volatile, the ambiguous, as well as welcome emotions many deem as “negative” or “inappropriate” such as feelings of inadequacy, anger, sexuality, and joy. We refer to the willingness to feel difficult and uncomfortable truths as the “commitment to connection,” which of course includes a willingness to set appropriate boundaries, and speak a desire for space, distance, and non-contact. By attending our events you take responsibility for your level of participation, which might include choosing to leave. If all this sounds potentially overwhelming or destabilizing for you, if you have mental illness or significant emotional challenges that you feel may be exacerbated by this type of transformational environment, or if you are not sure that you can be self-directed in taking care of your needs during the event, then we advise you not to attend. We look forward to seeing you!

**Termine**: 22./01, 12./02, 26./02, 12./03, 09./04, and 23./04. **Kosten**: kostenlos mit Anmeldung *\*\* Diese Veranstaltung ist Teil unseres Programms ‚****[Gemeinsam statt einsam](https://wearevillage.org/village-quartiere/addressing-queer-lonliness)****‚, unterstützt von der* ***[LADS](https://www.berlin.de/sen/lads/)****.* *Erfahre mehr über das Programm [hier](https://wearevillage.org/village-quartiere/addressing-queer-lonliness).* 🔵 **From Loneliness to Community \| Creating Connections** **with *Marco Obermüller*** **Closed Group \| 6 Thursdays \| In German\*** für **LGBTQIA+** Free event with **[registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/einsamkeitserien1/w04-2026/)** Loneliness can arise when people have few opportunities to experience genuine connection with others. This is where the group comes in, creating spaces in which a sense of belonging can be actively experienced. By working together on personal topics, a social space of resonance emerges that replaces isolation with relationship and contact. Through the structured sharing of experiences, loneliness becomes visible, discussable, and therefore open to change. Through facilitated interaction, shifts in perspective, small experiments in experiencing contact, and shared reflection, participants develop new forms of connectedness and strategies for social effectiveness. The group functions not only as a source of support, but also as a learning environment for shaping relationships. In this way, resilient connections are formed that extend beyond the individual meeting and help to sustainably reduce loneliness. **General Information** This group consists of a maximum of 15 participants. **Language**: This series will be held in German. This series is open to everyone. Your German should be fluent enough to follow an event in German. **Important**: you must commit to all 6 sessions. **Dates**: 22/01, 12/02, 26/02, 12/03, 09/04, and 23/04. **Closed Group**: This structure creates a supportive environment where participants can build deeper connections. **Cost**: free event with registration *\*\* This event is part of the we are village program ‘****[Belonging versus Lonelines](https://wearevillage.org/village-quartiere/addressing-queer-lonliness)****‘, with the support of* ***[LADS](https://www.berlin.de/sen/lads/en/)****.* *Learn more about the program [here](https://wearevillage.org/village-quartiere/addressing-queer-lonliness).*

**Open Writing Circle** **this month’s guest: Biba Oskar Nass** **[Free event with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/writing-circle/w04-2026)** For **LGBTQIA+** Pablo Santacana López invites participants to explore writing as a practice of queer world-making. This workshop approaches writing as a way to build what doesn’t yet exist. When we write from queer experience, we’re constructing alternative realities, imagining different ways of being together, oriented toward the future. **Words and stories reside within all of us, waiting to be discovered.** Our monthly Open Writing Circle invites people with all levels of writing experience to explore their creativity and imagination. In each session, one of Berlin’s many exceptional writers, poets, artists, or curators will create a vibrant and collective learning experience. Whether you’re interested in fiction, memoir, non-fiction, or poetry, this supportive space encourages you to uncover the words within you. We’ll draw upon techniques used in writing workshops to unleash your innate talent in a collaborative environment that will allow for a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights. This workshop aims to create an affirming, playful and empowering space for queer people to explore, express and celebrate their identities as well as to provide a platform for the stories of the LGBTQIA+ community to be shared, heard and valued. **Biba Oskar Nass** (they/them), a trans boy and wordsmith, writes prose and poetry as a freelance artist. We begin by awakening and relaxing the body. Then we focus on an intensely gentle and enjoyable slow external anal massage. We can release the taboos we may have learned about our anus, deepen intimacy and build trust. The second part of the workshop is an invitation to go deeper and explore the pleasures of anal eroticism, including how to contact the “male G spot”. You have the possibility to explore conscious breathing, verbal communication about your desires, needs and limits, and respectful touch. This way you can better get to know your individual rhythm that will allow you to indulge in and enjoy intimate anal experiences. **What is SOUL OF SKIN?** **[SOUL OF SKIN](https://wearevillage.org/en/soul-of-skin)** is a massage training in a two-year cycle and consists of eight weekend workshops. Experience Connection beyond surface level - Authentic Relating Event Berlin
Experience Connection beyond surface level - Authentic Relating Event Berlin
### Experience Connection beyond surface level - Authentic Relating Event Berlin 🕓 **Date & Time**: Saturdays, 16:00-18:00 📍 **Location**: near Tierpark or Betriebsbahnhof Rummelsburg 🎟 **Cost**: Donation based 👤 **Participants:** 4-12 *** ### **Event Description:** **Surface-level-conversation, anonymity and the feeling of being separated.** We live in the age of digital connection, but surveys show that **people feel more lonely than ever.** I think what we need is a regular practice that doesn't need us to be on the same side, to feel connected. A practice where we can be ourselves and experience the healing effects of co-regulation and belonging, through true presence and vulnerability. A practice like **Authentic Relating.** Every Saturday (with some exceptions) I host Authentic Relating and Connection Circles in our space for people to experience this practice. It involves: * Listening with presence (instead of fixing or judging) * Speaking from your truth (without over-explaining or apologizing) * Feeling seen — and allowing that to be enough You'll be guided through a smooth entry meditation, gentle relational games and reflection exercises which encourage you drop the armor as much as you feel safe with, slow down, and connect on a deeper level — with yourself and others. *** ### ✨ The Agreements: * **Honor and respect yourself** \- that means stay true to what you want and need and care for yourself\. Only go as deep as you want and feel safe with\. you don’t have to open up to everyone\. You might be unified consciousness infinitely connected to everything\, but that doesn’t mean you’re not a self too\. * **Lean into the edge** \- Don’t go all in\. But don’t cotton\-coat either\. Growth in connection happens at the edge\. And that can be a little uncomfortable sometimes\. Try to explore what fits for you\. * **Honor and respect others as much as yourself** \- accept and respect boundaries\, practice giving a loving no and commit to connection\. * **Check your assumptions** \- We all naturally build categories and throw our experiences into these\. Be aware of that and don't let prejudice influence the chance of connection\. * **Confidentiality by request** \- Nothing can be taken for granted\, unless you ask for it\. You want things to stay confidential? Ask for it\. * **Keep it slow and be present** \- You don’t need to rush and push through\. It's never to slow\, so better breathe one more time\, than one too less\. Stay with how you feel in the moment and keep it safe and slow\. * **Stay curious** \- You’ve ever seen a child curiously exploring it’s environment? Children have this innate sense of awe and curiosity\, because they don’t have categories\. Try to tap into the "not\-knowing" curiosity and watch your relational practice transform\. *** **Disclaimer:** * **This is no place to perform**. You don't need to be someone to deserve connection. * **This is not a place for dating or making friends**. The connection, intimacy and trust you'll experience, might seem more real than everything you know and you are invited to connect afterwards. But this space is for the experience of deep connection. So no hard feelings if someone just wants that. * **This isn't therapy and it doesn't substitute it either**. If you have serious mental health issues you are welcome, and this experienc might also be helpful and feel healing, but it can't substitute the safe and professional environment of therapy. Although the host is trained in holding spaces and dealing with difficult states and stories, the participants aren't. Just keep that in mind. *** ### ✨ About the host I'm Morten, coach, facilitator and founder of **The Circle,** a private community for self-employed conscious creators, coaches and therapists growing through vulnerability and connection and building their soul business.
Radical Empathy – Queer Storytelling for Connection
Radical Empathy – Queer Storytelling for Connection
**Radical Empathy** host by Neo Seefried guest: Merten Legatz event for **LGBTQIA+** **[Free event with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/radical-empathy/w04-2026)** This workshop series invites participants to explore how queer storytelling can hold, transform, and reimagine conflict – both personal and collective. In an intimate closed group of up to 30, we will create a space where differences are not erased but lived, opening up new ways of being connected. Queer lives are shaped by contradictions – between belonging and exclusion, visibility and erasure, intimacy and alienation. Instead of suppressing them, this series invites us to hold, quarrel with, and even find joy in their friction. **We will ask questions such as:** • How can we live conflicts differently? • What can we learn from one another about responding to tension with more than silence or aggression? • What does queer experience teach us about the joy of irritation, the art of quarreling, the utopias of disagreement? **Practices we’ll explore together:** • Fishbowl-inspired storytelling: one story opens, others weave in. • Embodied listening: holding difference through the body. • Mindfulness & circle practices: slowing down, making space for complexity. • Generative visioning: imagining queer futures shaped not by consensus but by shared vulnerability and empathy. **Event Overview: Upcoming Guests and Dates:** • Sunday, September 21, 2025: Mark Pertuis – Queer Mama • Sunday, October 19, 2025: Mati Klitgard – gayconsentlab • Sunday, November 30, 2025: TBC • Friday, January 23, 2026: Merten Legatz – Lecturer at TU, specializing in queer worldmaking. • Friday, February 13, 2026: Olympia Bukkakis – Drag performers and activists **General information** **Participant**: this workshop series is open to LGBTQIA+ people, with particular encouragement for those holding multiple marginalizations. **Language**: Depending on the group’s needs, sessions will be held in German and/or English. **Cost**: Free of charge, registration required. September 2025: Mark Pertuis – Queer Mama • Sonntag, 19. Oktober 2025: Mati Klitgård – gayconsentlab • Sonntag, 30. November 2025: Pansy – Let’s talk about sex and drugs • Freitag, 23.
