Welcome Book Lovers! Join our Meet Up Group to find like-minded book readers! This event is for everybody interested in listening or sharing new book content or comment on it. Were having a very special drawing session this time! Just before on this day (see other event) we are having our very first workshop for newcomer models and everyone interested in posing. As a special occasion we want to provide an experimental drawing session for the new models to test their new skills if comfortable. Our workshop leading model Susanna will take the lead in this session. If other models from the workshop feel comfortable, we might have switching models, poses with multiple models, nude, non-nude or a mix of everything above! Let's make this a safe environment for everyone to feel comfortable and figure out new things. The Kulturankerzentrum is located at Brünner Straße 34-38 a couple minutes walk from Bahnhof Floridsdorf. The location will be private just for our event, there will be drinks at our little bar. Beach volleyball session for players with solid beach volleyball skills. **No beginners, please.** 🏖️ **How We Play** There is demand for both 2vs2 and 3vs3, so we organize the courts in mixed formats to satisfy as many preferences as possible. * One court focused on **2vs2** (4-6 players, sets to 15, rotation after set) * One court focused on **3vs3** (6 players) * One flexible court (**2vs2 or 3vs3**, depending on demand) We’ll monitor how this setup works and adjust when needed. Over the course of the season, the format may change (for example, shifting towards more or even exclusively 2vs2). ✅ **What We Expect From Players** * Solid and safe beach volleyball fundamentals * Openness and skill to play **both 2vs2 or 3vs3**, if required * A good level of **self‑organization on court and during event** (This is a group of adults, not a guided training or childcare setting) 💰 **Costs** €8–10 per person, depending on the number of participants. ❗ **Cancellations** Cancellations within 24 hours of the event must be paid, unless a suitable replacement is joining. We practice, dance, and enjoy a BYOB bottle of your favorite wine at the Dublin Ballroom off Sawmill, North, and “milonga” is a social event for tango dancing where dancers socialize. A “*practica*” is an informal social event for tango dancing where dancers focus on practicing the dance; while a “*practilonga*” combines the relaxed atmosphere of a “*practica*” with the format of a “milonga.” We are doing it all! ***Cost is $10 payable to the Teacher.*** *Cost is for the cost of the venue and covers some snacks.* We have had fun doing this event in the past. We’re bringing back Adult Field Day. Last year was a good mix of competition and just hanging out, so we’re doing it again with some new games mixed in. Think team-based challenges, simple races, and a few things inspired by game shows. You don’t need to be athletic. Most of the fun is just being part of a team and getting to know people you wouldn’t normally talk to. The goal isn’t really winning. It’s meeting people, laughing a bit, and leaving knowing a few more names than when you showed up. If you stick around after, we’ll have a potluck, a bonfire, and a couple comedians in the evening. Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
