Drop-ins are welcome. This is an 8-week class in the Unified Mindfulness (UM) system that offers meditation techniques to reduce stress, improve clarity and concentration, and increase well-being. Each class introduces a UM technique, with guided meditations and Q&As. The class is well suited for both beginners and experienced meditators. Drop-ins are welcome. The instructor, Martin Spiering, PhD, is a UM-certified Level 2 Coach. He has practiced meditation for more than 10 years and worked as a researcher and educator for more than 15 years, including leading classes and seminars on meditation. UM is a secular mindfulness system developed by meditation teacher and research scientist Shinzen Young and is taught at many institutions.
