IT Is BLUEBELLS TIIIIIIME! Let's go to the Chiltern Hill and see one of the most stunning wild bluebell carpets in the country. This is going to be one of the 2 days of bluebells trips this year! The Ashridge Estate consists of 5,000 acres of woodland, chalk down lands and lush meadows and are home to some of the eldest trees in the country and I will take you to this absolutely gorgeous place in the woods, heathland and rolling hills. You can walk for miles and see a variety of wildlife such as deer or red kites but the most important inhabitants of these landscapes are by far the magical creatures such as Malefiscent or who knows, a werewolf or even Buckbeak the Hippogriff from Harry Potter! This place has been chosen as the filming location for so many movies that I cannot even tell you the whole of them! Harry Potter, Malefiscent,Robin Hood, Stardust or Gulliver travels but it is not surprising when you see the beauty of those woods. So come and join me for a day out on my trails! You know you want to! Come on, you are not working and I will take you to a beautiful place that will not disappoint and that will help you to relax and get a breath of fresh air. You will see bluebells, bluebells and even more bluebells until you get sick of it!Of course I cannot know how thick the carpet will be when we get there but we have some good chances to have some nice ones. We are pleased to announce our next tall walk, talk and drinks, hosted by Mary. This is an event for all ages, regulars to the club and newbies, arriving solo or with tall friends and family. Our meetups are only for tallies - men normally 6'2" and above, women normally 5'10" and above. We will meet at 3pm/1500hrs on Saturday 18th April outside Great Portland Street underground station. The walk will be at meandering pace around Regent's Park and up to Primrose Hill. It should take around 2 hours dependant on the weather and how long we stop to take in the view at Primrose Hill.
