Lunchtime Mental Health Walks - Schöneberg, Wilmersdorf
Berlin is dark. Especially in winter. That's why it's important to catch those rays of sun, while they are still there. At lunch time the sun is the strongest. While walking together we can enjoy a nice conversation, get those steps in, increase our serotonin production as well as sync the circadian rhythm. It's also a lovely break from work.
I would like to invite you to our mental health walk event.
Agenda:
12:10 We meet at Schöneberg Park next to the fountain with the golden deer statue ("Der goldene Hirsch").
12:15 We walk to Volkspark Wilmersdorf
12:50 We arrive back in Schöneberg Park, at the golden deer statue.
We walk at every weather, so make sure to dress properly!
Looking forward to meeting you at our lunchtime walk.
Marija

Bring-a-Friend & Find-a-Friend" Night
**Berlin can be a tough nut to crack.**
Sometimes you have your "one person" and you’re stuck in a bubble; other times, you’re the new kid on the block looking for your crew.
This night is designed to break those bubbles and bridge the gap.
"Bringing a friend? **Amazing.** Coming solo? **Also great.** \> Whether you’re rolling with your crew or flying solo\, you’re in the right place\.
Our mission is to help you meet like-minded people and turn 'strangers' into 'Berlin besties.'
Building Self-Improving CI/CD and Optimizing Performance at Superhuman
Join us on **March 25** to learn how the **Superhuman Engineering team is building a CI/CD system that learns, adapts, and gets faster over time**.
✅ **To attend the event**, please **register** **on Luma**: https://luma.com/loqydsym
Please note that **only guests with a confirmed Luma registration will be admitted**. Due to limited capacity, we won’t be able to accommodate attendees who haven't registered.
Most teams treat their CI/CD pipeline as infrastructure that “just works”—until it doesn’t. Three Superhuman engineers share how they combined AI-driven automation, test-strategy overhauls, and infrastructure migration to build a pipeline that not only runs but also continuously improves itself.
🚀 [Dushan Terzikj](https://www.linkedin.com/in/dushanterzikj/) will share concrete examples of how the Grammarly Inkwell team reduced CI pipeline flakiness and duration—from parallelizing unit tests and migrating to Storybook, to switching from dedicated macOS runners to on-demand Kubernetes runners. Attendees will walk away with practical, actionable techniques to make their own pipelines faster and more reliable.
🚀 [Timo Fink](https://www.linkedin.com/in/fink-timo/) will explain how Superhuman incorporated AI agents into their CI pipelines to develop a Self-Healing system. You will learn how we leverage Claude Code to automatically audit the reliability of our test suite and proactively suggest and prepare improvements for human review.
🚀 Darek Komosinski will show how his team exposes structured performance trace data to AI to automatically detect issues and surface actionable fixes. You will learn how combining rule-based analyzers with an AI summarization layer turns thousands of raw traces into a concise, prioritized report without manual triage.
**About the speakers**:
🔈 **Dushan Terzikj** is a Software Engineer at Superhuman Platform Inc., where he works on the Superhuman browser extension—formerly the Grammarly browser extension—which serves more than 40 million monthly active users. He has also worked on a platform supporting the browser extension, where his team’s main goal was to deliver an outstanding developer experience.
🔈 **Timo Fink** is a Software Engineer at Superhuman Platform Inc., where he works on the Grammarly for Windows application. Grammarly for Windows, now part of the Superhuman suite, is the trusted AI writing partner for turning scattered thoughts into aligned, impactful communication. Timo has started to focus his efforts on developer experience, ensuring work can happen as fluidly as possible by removing recurring blockers like flaky pipelines.
🔈**Darek Komosiński** is a Software Engineer at Superhuman Platform Inc., where he works on the Grammarly for Windows application as a tech lead. He focuses on improving the performance of our apps (from observability to fixing issues) to make sure we can offer maximum value to users with minimal system impact.
**Who should attend**:
* Software engineers who want to apply AI-based tools to common developer experience problems
* Technical leaders who want to offer their teams a new perspective on how to approach these challenges
**Agenda:**
✨ 18:00–18:30: Check-in and networking
✨ 18:30–19:45: Talks

German Sprachcafé at Denizen! B1 to C1
**Hi everyone!**
We’ll now be meeting twice a week at Denizen House (Köpenicker Str. 40, 10179 Berlin), on **Mondays and Wednesdays**!
* **Mondays:** levels A1 to B1
* **Wednesdays:** levels B1 to C1
We work with dedicated materials tailored to each level, so everyone will have a place to practice and improve.
**Event schedule**
* **18:00 – 18:30** Arrival and registration
* **18:30 – 19:50** Sprachcafé
* **19:50 – 20:00** End and clean up
Please be aware that the moderated event starts at **18:30**. Before this time, we are busy setting up the space. Registrations usually take place around **18:15 / 18:20**. Participants are kindly asked **not to arrive too far in advance** at the house.
If someone arrives much earlier, Denizen may ask them to pay either for a drink (consumption) or for a **day pass**, as the space is a co-working environment during the day. **Please remember, our event is only happening from 18:00 to 20:00**
**How the Sprachcafé works**
We use different materials to help participants gain confidence in German. Together with whiteboards and our volunteers, the Sprachcafé is based on **interactive conversations** in small groups.
**Participation fee**
The Sprachcafé has a **participation fee of 5 €**, which helps cover organizational costs and **includes one soft drink for free**.
Tickets can be purchased directly on the day of the event, card and cash payments are accepted.
As the Sprachcafé has become very popular, we now need to **limit the number of participants**. Please understand this measure; it ensures that everyone has a comfortable space to practice.
We kindly ask you to be **rücksichtsvoll** and only RSVP “Yes” if you are certain you can attend.
If your plans change at the last minute, please update your RSVP so someone on the waiting list can take your spot.
Getting your ticket early can help secure your place.
**Please note**
Our event will begin **promptly** at the scheduled start time.
If you arrive late, we cannot guarantee your participation, even if you have a ticket or have RSVP’d. We encourage all guests to arrive on time to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
**About Denizen**

Marienthal: Monastery and Eastern Valley Spring Trails
Hike along the Polish border to Germany’s oldest-running monastery, through the Neisse valley, and the Lusatian forests.
TICKETS AVAILABLE [HERE](https://www.eventbrite.de/e/marienthal-monastery-and-eastern-valley-spring-trails-tickets-1983248894832?aff=oddtdtcreator)
*Walk through some of the most pristine woodlands in East Germany, along the mystic woodlands of the Neisse valley, cross the border into Poland, and capture some of the delicate beauty of this untouched borderland. Along the way, we will see the renowned gardens of the Marienthal monastery, some of the region's best vineyards, and dine in historic kitchens.*
Hike Distance: 15km
Difficulty: Intermediate
Needed: Hiking clothes / shoes (passport)
WHY GO?
With Spring on the way and winter finally being put to rest, it's time to go outside and venture out into nature. This 15km forest hike journeys through some of the most beautiful nature spots in East Germany. The Neiße has carved a picturesque valley with river meadows, wooded slopes, and natural riverbanks that feel wild and peaceful, with a landscape shaped over millennia. The walk starts in the Polish town of Krzewina Zgorzelecka, heads through the historic town of Ostritz, and around and over the St. Marienthal monastery, one of the oldest continuously operating Cistercian monasteries in Germany.
The hike carries along a pilgrimage route, and along the way, there are also small historic landmarks and educational points, including old crosses and views of both German and Polish landscapes along the river. The hike is a chance to leave the city, connect with a bunch of like-minded people, and breathe some of the fresh, cool air. And to cap the trip off, we’ll spend time in the monastery, enjoying lunch in the traditional kitchen.
**WHAT ARE SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS?**
* Kloster St. Marienthal: Germany’s oldest-running Cistercian monastery that dates back to 1234, with its picturesque monastery and garden
* Neiße River Valley: It’s one of the most beautiful areas of nature, untouched, littered with hillsides, industrial relics, and local education centers.
* Ostritz: Perched on the Polish border, this ancient Lusatian town typifies the architecture and history of the local area, with its quaint roads and beautiful town square.
* Germany’s Easternmost Vineyard: Right next to the monastery grounds is a small historic vineyard — the easternmost in Germany. It’s a surprising sight in this far-eastern corner of Saxony and adds a Mediterranean touch to the landscape.
**Tour Guide**
Tour will be led by travel author and guide Dan Cole, who has worked previously for Lonely Planet, Easyjet Magazine, and Lufthansa, and has several published travel guides about Berlin and beyond.
Walk and Talk – Get to know your local community!
Expats and English speakers are a big part of our city, neighborhood and our community. Walk & Talk is an opportunity for you to **meet other English-speaking people** right in your own neighborhood, without needing to travel to events at the other end of town. It is also an invitation to **get to know your local Stadtteilzentrum** Prenzlauer Berg (community center Prenzlauer Berg) and to discover more community offerings here on site!
Every Sunday at 2:00pm, we meet at the Stadtteilzentrum and take a **group walk through the neighborhood** to various, interesting places. Along the way we exchange and get to know each other – stories, journeys, ideas, hobbies, tips for leisure, and more. Our meeting starts in the foyer of the Stadtteilzentrum; please be on time so you don’t get left behind! You’re welcome to announce your coming by email claudi@lifecovery.de , so we know if somebody’s missing yet.
In the STZ kitchen we can **grab a coffee or a take-away tea** (we recommend to bring your own to-go cup) and get to know the space before we head out. Then we set off to explore the nearby parks or other **exciting spots in Prenzlauer Berg**. We will checkout different places week by week, so the tours will stay interesting.

Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations.
If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!).
**HOW IT WORKS**
**Step 1: Bring a topic**
Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event.
**Step 2: Circle up & share**
We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds.
**Step 3: Walk, talk & float**
We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!"
**Step 4: Feel more alive**
Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times.
*For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)*
**HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC**
A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about.
Recent topics include:
* "What are you passionate about right now?"
* "What makes a good friend?"
* "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?"
* "How do you want to be remembered?"
* "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?"
Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter.
**WHAT TO EXPECT**
This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.*
But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here.
**FAQ**
* Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk!
* We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space.
* We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space.
* Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know.
* Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic!
**LOGISTICS**
* If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event.
* This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs.
* Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details.
* If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋
