For passengers, it’s the easiest way to get to the trail, meet new people and enjoy the ride together instead of travelling alone. Starting from 'Walker Fountain Kings Domain' we walk along the River track to 'Burnley Gardens' We meet at 10:30am for a 10:40am start. If you're new to the group, come along and meet some of the regular hikers and suggest your favourite hiking locations for the coming months. The pace will be moderately brisk towards fast. We will not be stopping often to regroup. Damian Clark facilitates a ‘North Fitzroy Men’s walk and talk group’ for men in the inner city and northern suburbs interested in connecting with other men to develop meaningful and supportive connections, with the added health benefits of a walk in nature. The walks are supported by Holden Street Neighbourhood House - contact (03) 9489 9929 or admin@holdenstreet.org.au for queries. The walks are run FREE of charge on the 1st Saturday of each of month at 8.am. The walk will commence at the Holden Street Neighbourhood House then proceed to take in Park Street and Rushall Reserves in Fitzroy North. The group is for men of all ages. The benefits from participating in the men’s walk and talk group are: 1. A safe space to connect with other men. 2. Opportunity to be genuinely listened to. 3. Chance to express your feelings and thoughts free from judgement and criticism. 4. Make valuable and lasting friendships.

Registering = agreeing to them+++** **🚉 Meeting Options** - 11:00 a.m. at Sandringham Station — gather, stretch, flirt, admire each other’s hats. Try to arrive by 10.45 a m. I may not wait for stragglers. - OR join the travelling circus on the last carriage of the Sandringham line train leaving Flinders St at ~10:17 a.m. It’s the unofficial pre‑party carriage: smiles, introductions, and the first hints of seaside adventure. **🏖️ The Walk** A long, delicious glide along the coastline, following the beach promenade past Brighton’s colourful bathing boxes, Elwood’s breezy foreshore, and the slow unfurling of St Kilda’s charm. Please ensure you meet the fitness level for the event. If the group is forced to wait excessively, you may be asked to leave the event. **⛹️ Pace: Too Fast or Too Slow** Small social events rely on staying together. If you prefer a very different pace, consider going solo, joining a faster/slower group, or choosing events that match your fitness. **👩‍💼 Time Constraints** If you’re on a tight schedule, this may not be the right event. This is one of our favourite walks and truly one of the best-kept secrets in Melbourne’s South East. Perfect for beginners, it’s a fun way to get active, enjoy nature and connect with great people. We'll meet at Griggs Reservoir Shelter House 5 and walk along the water to Griggs Park, then back — 3.3 miles total. A scenic out-and-back route along the Scioto River. One of the nicer stretches of trail in Columbus.
